Quality has gone down the drain
- - Third-generation Red Rose drinker reports broken tea bags since COVID.
- - Quality declined and the box no longer lists orange pekoe.
I've been a lifelong Red Rose drinker, third-generation, but since COVID, every single pitcher of tea I've made has had at least one broken bag. At first I put it down to crisis production problems, but COVID went away, and the quality issues didn't.
And at some point, it just stopped tasting and smelling the same. And yesterday I noticed why -- the box no longer says "orange pekoe and pekoe cut black".
We buy for the tea, not the label. If the label is now attached to a completely different, much worse product, why keep being it?

Verified ReviewerTea bags are breaking
- - Red Rose tea bags arrived broken in the latest box.
- - I love the tea, will keep drinking, but many bags went to waste; packaging changed.
HI
I am so surprised at this last box of Red Rose tea I am drinking. This is the first time in about 20 plus some years that I have so many bags that have broken either in the cup while brewing or when I open the paper wrapper they are in.
I liked the packaging better when they did not have the wrapper around the bag.
I just wanted to let you know this was happening. I love this tea, wont stop drinking it, but am disapointed that so many have gone to waste.
