this company pissed me off also. After calling Re-Bath for two weeks to come fix a leak in one of the baths.

The leak appears to in the drain and has come through the downstairs ceiling. I been given the run around. The material on the walls of the showers is not what I thought I was paying for. RE-Bath has a deal to send them 10% of the charge even for doing nothing.

In my case was $2,400. I wish that I had seen your recommendation before I made this mistake.

Update - 2020: After being told that the hardware used was "the highest quality available", all of it has completely dulled (and most of the caulking is falling apart). I now know that what was used was PLASTIC, not actual chrome.

Yup, we are the suckers here and to add to the fire, we have had 2 separate bathroom remodeling companies out to give us quotes on hardware replacement and nothing can be done other than ripping out walls because the way Re-Bath plumbed everything in and the valves used, are no longer made or supported even by Re-Bath! (I actually bit the bullet and called them to ask only to be told "Sorry - we'd need to replace the hardware wall with NEW walls and hardware and do a complete re-plumb." Wow... I am still floored how this company stays in business with their underhanded selling tactic and sloppy installation jobs as well as I continue to hear from other folks who have had the same if not worse experiences. I will continue to do my part by telling those that ask, what this company truly stands for.

It's def. not for the consumer.

Original review Jan 16, 2019
Hired this company to re-do our master shower. They took out our insert that was built with the home and put in their so-called highest quality shell with the highest quality fixtures. Although the final result was adequate and we had no real complaints at the time and the fact that because our area was experiencing a huge construction boom, getting anyone to do a simple bathroom remodel was very difficult. I felt the products that they used were sub-par and for the price we really should have had a much cleaner finished product with much higher quality fixtures but because it took them almost 4 days to complete the job (vs. their 1 day guarantee) it was nice just to get them out of our home. Let's then move on to less than a year later - We decided that our upstairs bathroom needed a redoing and because we were prior customers, were told that we would get the deal of a lifetime. Boy, did we ever. Overpaid by approx. 20% come to find out and the job was never completed properly. In summary: 1.) They tried to cover old linoleum flooring with new and when they got caught, they tried to tell us that they could not rip out the old because of asbestos. Really? A home that was built in 2004 has asbestos? They also did not clean up stuff on old flooring so when you walked on new, there were bumps everywhere. 2.) I asked if they could take out a door that was put in btwn wash area and shower area and widen the opening. They said sure. The guy that came out had never done this before and he had to call a relative to come help. It turned out very bad and I had to go a different route to fix. Because of the damage done, it still doesn't look right to this day. 3.) When they put trim back on, they didn't re-nail. Not even put nails in the old holes? Just kinda leaned the pieces back up against the walls. 4.) They didn't seal the new tub btwn tub and floor. Left it exposed. 5.) They used DRYWALL screws inside the shower area on the fixtures. After 3 days of use, all the hardware started to look like blood was running down everywhere. The screws had rusted! Here's the kicker. I called the owner of our local franchise. He came out and admitted that it was a very bad job and he DID apologize. He DID send someone else out to do fixes but all the issues were already done so the new guy put bandaids everywhere he could. He even apologized. What really got me though was that I spoke to the owners wife (when I could actually speak with someone as they were always hoping on planes to Mexico or some tropical place for vacations!) she said this to me: "Thank you sir. Thank you for letting me know the type of customer we DON'T want to take on!" My reply to her was simply "What do you mean? The type that hired you for 2 jobs instead of one? The type that pays you in cash? The type that was dumb enough to refer you to someone I know? That type?" She said a few choice words and hung up. The reason I am writing this review is because this company is horrible. They don't provide quality anything. They have done similar things to people I know and I encourage everyone I meet to write a review if they have been done wrong or to tell folks to stay away from them. I am shocked that they still operate! As a small business owner myself, I am amazed at their lack of service, lack of quality anything, lack of even caring if they make a customer happy. I also wrote a review on Rippoff.com that they have yet to even rebuttal because they know what I state is true. All this took place several years ago but when I can, I keep the complaint chain going because of what they cost me and the fact that their first job, the Master bath?.. Remember that guy? Well, everything is now coming apart after less than 4 years of use! It's bad folks.. just bad. Looking forward to this coming year because if history proves true, the upstairs will start falling apart right on schedule.

Worst customer service ever!! And terrible work!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I'm having a new shower installed in the master bathroom. Work was scheduled and deposits were paid on Sept.

14, 2018, today is Jan. 2, 2019. We were told it would be installed the week after Thanksgiving which was 12 weeks. Nope!!

After much complaining on my part they started the "2 day" job on Dec. 26, 2018. As I said it's now Jan. 2, 2019 and we are still waiting for the shower enclosure to arrive and we now have a drywall/painter here trying to repair the damage that the installers did.

I was told today that the enclosure won't be shipping until Jan. 8, 2019. So much for a 2 day job. I'm so mad at myself for not reading yelp reviews before I went with Rebath.

The customer service has been a nightmare. It's been a week and the project manager hasn't called or shown his face to try and work with us.

The only contact has been made by me. The worst company ever!!

Total mess, very unprofessional

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The salesman lied right at the beginning saying we had moisture damage behind the wall of newly remodeled bathroom ony used for 3 weeks. There was no moisture or damage at all.

Before you ask we just purchased the home and the wife wanted a jet tub which led to this nightmare. They told us they could not save our tile walls because they had to fix the the moisture damage. There was none, dry as a bone. We told them we wanted are tub saved because it was a brand new tub, so they put it in the work order.

The day the installers came out the the head installer said first thing i am not taking the time to try and save your tub, o won't be back here tomorrow because i am going deer hunting and if it gets ruined which it most likely will it is what it is. Its only a cheap home depot tub. We told the salesman when we were talked into the the wall coverings because we could not aford their tile price that this is a older house and that shower area probably isn't square. No problem he said, we are tearing it all out and redoing it everything down to the studs.

It will look great. The installer damged the tub badly like he said and ask us with a smile if we still wanted it smh. The hole time he was here we had to hear how *** this looked and how *** that was, talking about our house then heard abot the nice homes in east lake he did. Sorry i am a wounded veteran and cannot aford a 300,000 dollar plus home to impress you or anyone else.

Spent alot of time checking his trail cams for deer and talking on the phone about his hunting trip the next day, time that could of spent on saving our tub. They did give us a bew one. The edges of the shower walls did not match up at all. They broke out a peice of drywall and just used silicone to put it back, they broke one of the tiles right where the old tub was and said i didnt do that it is not my fault.

So they put a bulky plastic trim peice to cover the broken tile. The 4 inch plastic trim on the floor gets very wet along with the rest of the floor because the cutain rod is to low. Every time i shower i need 2 towels, one for me and the other for the floor. I have had 17 operations on one leg and knee and one on the other.

I told them this is a slip hazard for me. 2 other installers came out and said they would try to find a tile match, fix the wall coverings so you could see the uneven edges filled with caulk and everyon saw. Everyone who saw our install the first thing they said was what happened when they put up the walls. Yeah.

The next installer comes out to fix it and was not one of the 2 who original came out and had no clue how to fix it and tried calling the installers who were out to find out 4 or 5 times with luck. I explain to him what they said. Instead of coming back after knowing he proceeds with the work. One piece of cover up trim he got right, the other 2 are on tje total opposite and are not doing what it was suppose to do and that was cover up the mess up.

Nope made it twice as bad now. The one installer said he couldn't find a tile match but had a couple other options for us which we never heard. When tje second installer was working at removing the 4 inch plastic trim off the floor he broke another tile and did all this to put the same trim back on but this one sits lower, instead of being a inch off the floor it is around a half inch but still 4 inches wide and still a slip hazard for me. Its only there to cover the broken tile so we do not cut our feet.

Now our 10,000 dollar job looks like *** and they say they are done even though i have a 100% guarantee and warranty on installation and all material and parts. Here are photos of the first try and second try. There is still blood on my wall the second installer left on there.

I think he cut his self trying to get up the plastic trim that had 2 inches of adhesive on it. And instead of eaning up their mess they just blew it into the corners of my porch whick was just deck overed and is all marked up from materails that where laid or drop on it.

When we first got the tub shower combo put in was told that they would go clear to studs if needed to make it good. When we did the floor we had to cut the wood under neath as far as we could get without destroying the tub to get mold out ad put new board before we could put flooring in we couldn't get very far so know that we didn't get it all and know that they didn't even check under the tub to get the mold. Now a few years later the fixture for shower wouldn't turn off water so had to turn water to house off contacted them this morning telling them that it is emergency fix and over 4 hours later and they still have not contacted me to let me know if they are going to fix it today. I do have a lifetime warranty with everything that re bath did and put in.

Paid a $950 deposit for tub liner in Aug. Was told it would take 3-4 weeks. The salesman never answer my calls or texts. Now we found out we have a huge mold problem & the back of the contract said it can be terminated. Talk to receptionist & explained all this to her & that I want to terminate the contract. No way. I’m willing to lose my $950 & stop this farce & go to small claims court. This is the worst company I’ve ever worked with & they are just out for money!

Rebath Warranty Service - A Joke

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our tub/shower surround turned yellow. It has a lifetime warranty against this happening that offers a full replacement.

Its been 10 weeks and the corporate office making these demands for dozens of photos, multiple videos, multiple cleanings, and lots of visits from the local Rebath warranty representative who was the one who took the photos, shot the videos and submitted them to the corporate customer support office in Arizona. Still no action but LOTS of run around-- complete joke.

If you do a google search on their warranty and customer service, then this seems to be their modus operandi to keep warranty issues at bay in hope the unhappy customer will get worn down or have to get an attorney for yet even more delays. Maybe calling the local television customer advocacy programs will get their attention if a program airs or if reporters start asking them questions about pending articles.

ReBath - HORRIBLE !!!!!

My mother had them come in and do some bathroom work. They finished the job but we realized they had cut a large gash in the floor with a circular saw.

They acknowledged their screw up and sent someone out to fix it ! Upon arrival the repair guy pulled to back of house and was repeatedly asked not to . In doing so he and his trailer got suck and in the process of trying to get his truck and trailer out , he backed out onto a freshly graveled $2800 driveway and proceeded to spin it all up and make ruts in the new driveway and all over the yard ! If I coulda gotten my hands on the stupid SOB that done it yesterday, I woulda gladly went to jail !!!!

I hope their company goes bankrupt !

They are all absolutely horrible and of course no one has returned our phone call !!!! This was REBATH that done this in Elba Alabama on August 20 2018 !!!!!!

Mildew

ReBath - Mildew
ReBath - Mildew - Image 2

We had our tub and shower done over about 8 years ago with ReBath. Our old tile and grout was always stained with mildew even after digging it out and regretting, and the salesman told us that what they used instead of grout was a revolutionary material that mold and mildew could not even grow on, would not support it..."impossible for mildew to grow on." We were thrilled.

We were told multiple times that all we needed to do to clean our new tub and surround was Windex and a paper towel once a week, by both the salesman and the installer.

When it was installed, I was immediately unhappy because what we'd been shown by the salesman was a surround that looked like textured tiles...this was flat sheet like any other fiberglass, with just the marble coloring we'd ordered, no texture at all. We didn't complain thinking maybe WE should have been more specific in ordering to make sure what we were shown was what we were getting. They also put the grab bar in the most useless place...too low to grab if you're in the shower and slanted so if you try to pull yourself up out of the tub your wet hand just slides down the slide! Well it was too late to do anything about that...it was in.

We were given a printed list of acceptable cleaners to use on the finish so that our lifetime warranty wouldn't be voided...topped by the Windex and paper towels but including soft scrub with bleach.

We learned very quickly that Windex did NOTHING to clean these surfaces. There was a scaly film over everything within a couple of weeks. Eventually I found that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser removed it.

After several months I started seeing the mildew...when the grout that wasn't really grout was put in, apparently little air bubbles in it popped leaving little tiny pinhead pockets that were nearly invisible. All of those spots have since grown mildew, and it stains, permanently. I have used commercial mildew removers, household mildew removers, bristle brushes, foaming bleach, everything. All I ever achieved was a lighter black temporarily.

I've advised my husband to call them as it was purchased under his name and we were not yet married at the time, and truthfully he never has, and he has the information filed somewhere but I don't know where. So maybe the company will fix it, maybe they will try to say we didn't use the right cleaners and voided the warranty...I will happily update my review either way...but just wanted to say Buyer Beware when the sales rep sits at your kitchen table and makes claims of "impossible" and "never" and "all you need is..." Bla-bla

I wanted a lighted ceiing fan and Re Bath installed a fan without a light now they want to charge $200.00 to fix their mistake. This was the second bathroom the Re Bath had done for me. The first bath had the correct fan installed. When the Sales Rep. came to quote on the second bath I told him that I wanted the same fan as in the first bath which was lighted. I am being told that the contract would have shown the extra charge for the lighted fan. I didn't really look at the contract to see if the fan was lighted I just figured it was going to be the one I requested which was lighted. I have spent a lot of money with Re Bath and the least they could do it give me the correct ceiling fan.

My father is in his 80’s. He went to Home Depot to get a bathroom shower enclosure. They sent out RE-Bath who quoted him $15,0000.00. He wrote a check for the full amount and signed the contract thinking he was getting a complete bath room. When I found out what he did I had him cancel the check. I got a quote from 3 different contracts to do a complete remodel with better material for 5000.00 to 7000.00. Now REBATH- Home Depot is harassing this old man for 25% re-stocking!?!??

Copper water supply lines promised by the salesman at his sales pitch were not installed. Since it took over two months to get the job started, I had to settle for non-metallic tubing rather than wait any longer.

The demolition process employed caused immediate damage to some existing bathroom fixtures, and subsequently, personal injury to my wife. During the sales pitch, I was assured that the shower base would be imbedded in a substance that would keep it solid. However, that's not the case.

It feels "spongy" underfoot. The sales manager who originated the deal was first informed verbally, and then in writing about these issues, but he would not respond to my request for an equitable resolution.

The salesman promised alot with us as well. One was our tile floor would not get damaged.

This was my wife's biggest concearn and the fact we were lied to about the moisture behind our wall that was not there. Well tiles were broke but it was the installers fault.

So it is their installers fault for how the shower wall covering turned out then. Looks like a weekend warrior did this project.
