ReBath in Germantown, Maryland - Take money but never schedule work to be done!

3.0
Details
Went to a home and garden show in January 2015, had signed a contract in February. Wrote a check for over $5,000 for the deposit. Kept calling Rebath of Cypress TX when remodel will start. They said it takes 8 to 10 weeks for the supplies to come in. I must have called them 4 times. Each time they say the supplies were ordered and have not arrived. once arrived will have the installer contact me. I am so frustrated ! Looks like a will be talking to a lawyer soon. I was impressed with the sales pitch, the price was a little high, but Rebath seemed like a legimate company not a rip-off

I had the displeasure of talking by phone with Lisa Rizzo, Customer Service Manager at the Corporate office, multiple times. To discuss, yet again problems with our second remodeling by REBATH of our tub and shower, a redo. Fought for over a painstaking amount of time...

We had a great experience with Rebath in Maryland

The gentleman who gave us an estimate was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. He walked us through the the whole process and we were satified with the explanation. Craig who showed up on the day and exact time was very curtious and did the job in an efficient manor. We are satisified with the result. From reading the complaints about Re-Bath I can only think that it depends on the franchise in your area. I had Re-Bath install a tub surround for me and replace the fixtures. This was over a year ago and it still looks brand new. The only complaint I would have is...

The sales represented stated that it would be 10 to 12 weeks for installation of new shower. After 13 weeks and no contact by Re-bath, I called and they stated they would have to check our status and call me back. They never called back. I called again and they...

Rebath is located in AZ, why is Rachael responding from all over the country? Is this a service company they hired to respond to complaints?

ReBath in Chester, Maryland - Material yellowing.

I had Re-bath redo my shower three years ago. I was completely satisfied with the material and the professionalism of the installation. It looked great. Over the last six months I noted that the wall panels and the straight part of the hand holds have turned yellow. The angle part of the hand holds and the shower base stayed nice and white. This tells me that there is a material difference in these items. They can't be all be the same acrylic. The installer came out to look at my complaint and I have not heard anything except for one phone call, made by me, as to what they are going to do about the situation. I want the yellowed parts replaced per the warranty. However, I also want to know why they turned yellow and its not hard water. I want to be sure that it will not happen again.

Only the SSP has a warranty, nothing else. Not the bottom, grab bars, caulk, save you energy and read the warranty next time.

Do you get sun shinning on those surfaces? Is it a white wall?

It sounds like UV damage. I have seen UV damage on those type of walls where the sun only shines at a angle on the wall and it leaves a huge steak across it. They use a clear plastic cap that covers PVC for their walls and it is the PVC that is yellowing.

The only cure is to use a different material. We have had good luck with Ahqua, a type of simulated tile solid surface made out of Silestone.
