I had Rebath install a new shower for my two years ago and I noticed that the shower pan had developed a dip in it. I called them about it and was informed by the local office that my warranty is only for REBATH products and the shower pan was made by another...

I though I could go with a national company and feel safe. My liner cracked after five years.

And the wanted a copy of the contract which I had.

Then they told me it would cost $1500 fora or which was not covered. This is a scam

Rebath Fort Worth refused my three day void contract

I have a woman and her child from Rebath come to my home and I was feeling sorry for them so I signed a contract to have some work done in my bathroom. I asked my son-in-law abouts it and he said that they was too much money I could gets it done by anyone for half. I call them the next day but the man said that no one was there and I would have to call back on Monday. The man that ansewered said that I could not cancel the contractbut I know better and I want my check back. He hung up one me. I called the bank and took care of things. They should not treat people this way.

JoanCrownover,

This Aimee from Re-Bath. I see that you were concerned about the terms of your initial contract and how it was handled when you chose to cancel.

We understand that a bathroom remodel is a large purchase decision, and we aim to clearly communicate the terms of any service agreement. If you have further concerns about this issue, I invite you to contact me at awilliams [@] ambath.com.

Send a registered letter. You should not rely on a verbal instruction. It could be they may still sue on the contract.

The buyer may cancel the contract or offer until midnight of the third business day after the day on which the buyer signed the instrument. "Business day" means any calendar day except Sundays and specified holidays.

However, if the contractor has not complied with the foregoing requirements described in bold type, the buyer may cancel the contract or offer at any time until the contractor has complied with those requirements.

A buyer who desires to cancel need not use the form provided by the contractor. In order to cancel, the buyer's notice of cancellation need only be in writing, and need only express the buyer's intent not to be bound by the contract or offer.

The buyer's notice must be sent to the contractor at the address specified in the agreement or the offer. If given by mail, the buyer's notice is effective when it is deposited in the mail, properly addressed, with postage prepaid. The buyer also may cancel by sending a telegram to the contractor's address.

I had these guys come out. Same high pressure sales, although they said if they found mold they would remove it.

Nu Bath came too tried high pressure sales but when I insisted they cut to the price they did. Nu Bath wont do mold remission. Its a shame remodel contractors use sales techniques that would shame a used cars salesman.

I have no trust in any contractors because of these methods. No sale guys

I got liners installed from Re-Bath Systems of Long Island in 2001 with a lifetime warranty. One of these liners has been pulling away from the tub since last year and looks horrible. A service person came out in November of 2008 and basically caulked the drain to try...

Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting.

Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.

Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.

Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.

Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?

[chuckles until he sees that Ted is not laughing]

Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?

Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.

Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?

Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of ***. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

Ted Nelson, Customer: [pause] Okay, I'll buy from you.

Rebath not only screw its customers but they let the franchisee screw the employees as well. i worked for rebath of central florida, no rebath of mid florida, as the general manager for Richard Sasto, current owner of Rebath of Long Island.

I quit the company 2 1/2 years ago and found out about a month ago I have a $18,000.00 judgement against me for advertising rebath did in the Florida Today, a Scripps publication. I signed the contract as directed by Richard Sasto and now he sold the franchise to the current owners and he stiffed many vendors in the Orlando area for money.

Rich Sasto is the most dishonest person I know and Rebath Corp should be ashamed that he is still a franchise holder in the Great State of New York. All should avoid Rebath of Long Island like a bad virus

They were very nice but I could not afford the price they wanted so we went with another company for the new tile on the floor and walls including the bathtub. I talked to them latter and they wanted twice what we got the same Daltile tile installed.

Jake Wand embezzeled money from our company and myself personally. Jake Wand was introduced to me by a "mutual" friend (who i learned later had not known Jake for more than a week).

Against my better judgment i invited Jake into our project hoping he could deliver what he promised - to successfully pitch our company to industry insiders that he said he had done business with on numerous occasions. The truth is that Jake doesnt really "know" anyone except those that jake has already scammed. Everyone needs to finally admit that no-one really knows who this guy named Jake Wand is... An investigator we retained learned that he has no formal education, has never filed taxes or recieved legitimate w-2 income, has scammed his way into owning several small businesses (and then destroyed each after milking every dime), and has had at least 10 addresses over just the past few years (a usual sign of a *** artist).

He wiggled his way into our lives and then cleaned us out. We have reported Jake to the authorities who have told us an investigation was actually already underway. I am writing this in order to stop this guy from continuing his determined scamming of family after family.

If you have information on his current "operations" you should notify the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. You'll be glad you did!
