You paid half? That is a staight up violationof the California contracting law that says the most they can collect is 10%.

Contact the contractor's board, there are several district office and complain.

Everyone else - do not pay half down for something that is not delivered. What kind of fools are you?

Just like the saying goes .... A fool and his money.....

Ron,

Thanks for expressing your concerns about our engagement with customers. We have been able to assist a lot of consumers through Facebook and other sites.

Unfortunately, because Pissed Consumer doesn't allow us to contact consumers directly, we never hear from many of these consumers.

We feel strongly about Customer Service and want to assist our customers with any issues they may have.

A ReBath rep came to our home for an estimate and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were left feeling confident and excited at the prospect of having our current shower/ bath combo removed.

They were going to put in a new tub, shower surround and all hardware. The rep also assured us that they worked with condominium buildings all the time and would contact our management to set up water turnoff. Two weeks before the actual installation date, we contacted our condo management to ensure that everything was prepared. Imagine our surprise when they said that they hadn't heard from ReBath at all.

What followed was a week long struggle where ReBath told us that they had misquoted the job, hadn't pulled the proper city paperwork and would no longer be able to do the job at all. When my husband spoke with the manager she was extremely unwilling to provide any type of remedy- they would not even provide us with an updated quote to see if we could manage the payment. They were rude, defensive, difficult to deal with all around. I'm unsure as to when they would have called us to let us know that the job was not going to happen...

If I hadn't called them first when would we have found out? Would they have ripped our bathroom apart and then left us there to deal with it? I cannot believe that a business is able to run this way and am furious that they left us in such a lurch. Mind you- my initial deposit of nearly $2,000 had already been taken from my account BEFORE they told us they could not do the job.

We had to request the money back in full as there was never once a mention of a refund until we brought it up.

I will never work through this company again and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you look elsewhere before turning to Bay State ReBath. :(

ReBath in Chester, Maryland - Material yellowing.

I had Re-bath redo my shower three years ago. I was completely satisfied with the material and the professionalism of the installation. It looked great. Over the last six months I noted that the wall panels and the straight part of the hand holds have turned yellow. The angle part of the hand holds and the shower base stayed nice and white. This tells me that there is a material difference in these items. They can't be all be the same acrylic. The installer came out to look at my complaint and I have not heard anything except for one phone call, made by me, as to what they are going to do about the situation. I want the yellowed parts replaced per the warranty. However, I also want to know why they turned yellow and its not hard water. I want to be sure that it will not happen again.

Only the SSP has a warranty, nothing else. Not the bottom, grab bars, caulk, save you energy and read the warranty next time.

Do you get sun shinning on those surfaces? Is it a white wall?

It sounds like UV damage. I have seen UV damage on those type of walls where the sun only shines at a angle on the wall and it leaves a huge steak across it. They use a clear plastic cap that covers PVC for their walls and it is the PVC that is yellowing.

The only cure is to use a different material. We have had good luck with Ahqua, a type of simulated tile solid surface made out of Silestone.

rebath probably used poor quality materials. several years ago they had trouble getting enough material

To "you are a half wit", if you read the post I don't think they were complaining about anything just making a commentary and an observation based on someone else's post which they have every right to do.

I don't believe for a minute that everyone on here is a competitor, maybe some but clearly not the majority and I'll tell you why: The guy everyone is bashing has come on this website himself acting EXACTLY like everyone said he did!!! In other words, he has personally proved them right with his own actions!!!! I'll even bet that you, "half wit", are him yourself.

I happen to agree with Lisa. Anybody who shows up driving a flashy corvette trying to sell me a POS bathtub liner has issues and something to prove. I'll even bet he's fat and middle-aged!!

REBATH

I got a REBATH system installed a few years ago. Some time went by when I noticed a stain at the bottom of my bathtub. I've come to the conclusion that it's a hard water stain. No one has ever come out to look at my tub. (My installer retired). I have a non-skid bottom. I've tried all the cleaners on the list, the Palmolive, everything. I called the company several times. Most time they would not return my calls. Finally, I just asked to have my liner replaced (without the non-skid). I was told the warranty did not apply to stains. However, if you notice many of their ads claim that the system in stain resist. What else can I do??

Ridiculous. Utter rubbish.

Unbelievable the way "former" employees get free rein to abuse former employers and specific employees. Robin Rollando is a true professional, tough when she needs to be and honest, open and fair. If you were only there four days, how could you possibly draw any sane and reasonable conclusions about operations, management or specific employees. You attack Robin as if she owned the company.

Did she? No, I think not. I suspect your short tenure was a result of doing something you shouldn't have been doing or not doing something you were supposed to. Grow up tough Texan.

Realize your words spread pain.

The reason companies use ghost employees and re-direct inquiries or responses is because they fear retribution and harm from bitter former employees such as yourself. What did you hope to gain by posting your message?

ReBath in Dallas, Texas - Takes weeks not one day

I needed my tub and enclosure done, and I couldn't have it take days or weeks. Arizona Re-Bath promises to have it done in one day. Unfortunately, they had a problem with my walls that necessitated a weeklong wait without being able to use my shower. But I'm happy with the job they did but a week without my shower is just ***. They should not promise something if they can't deliver it. I was VERY unhappy with the salesman, however, who was extremely unpleasant to me when I called him back with some questions after receiving his bid on the estimate.

Look at this story:

Rebath of Central Florida, owned by Richard S., sold to another individual in a asset sale only. Richard S., franchise owner of Rebath of Central Florida, walked away from paying his companies debts after the sale. Thousands of Dollars in materials purchased and supplied to customers homes was never paid for. Richard S. owns another Rebath Franchise in Long Island, New York. People should be made aware that He may not pay for materials in New York and customers could have liens placed on there homes by suppliers and workers. Rebath of Central Florida, stiffed one of his former employees with default judgement in the amound of 18,500.00 plus court cost, and attorney fees.

The employee was kind enough to sign a credit application for Richard S., since Richard S. was a absentee owner. The debt is due to Scripps Publication, parent company for Florida Today Newspaper. Richard S. took the profit from the sale of the Rebath of Central Florida sale and skipped out on this debt and thousands of dollars more. Rebath has a very bad reputation of doing this type of thing ikt is all over the internet. And there installations are of poor quality.

Again you can see it all over the internet. This guy Richard S. still qualifies Rebath of Mid Florida with his Master Plumbing license and the person harmed by the debt is seeking that the State of Florida revoke Richard S. Master Plumbing License in the State of Florida. Rebath Corporate knows of this debt problem and states, ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM. Yet Richard S. is a Rebath Franchise Holder still in Long Island New York. Richard S. should be made to pay off this debt or have his New York franchise taken away. What kind of Franchise owners are you allowing Dave S.? Force Richard S. to pay the debt.
