The worst vacation company

We have stayed at Hidden Dunes for years and years. We have always been pleased with the condo and the rooms offered.

However, over the years, we've noticed a steady decline in customer service, specifically since Realjoy has taken over the management. This trip has ruined any hopes of ever staying with them again.

We arrived 5/24/24 to room 402. Since our arrival, we've spent the duration of time without a washing machine. Our unit's washer will not spin or clean the clothes we try to wash.

Realizing it's a holiday weekend, we expected some delay BUT as we sit here on 5/28, we have YET to get a working washing machine. With the increased cost of renting the rooms (which are nice), you'd expect some type of prompt service. To date, we have simply received lip service. Every one of their employees is super sorry but lacks the ability to do a thing to resolve the issue.

We have 7 people in this room and haven't been able to do laundry since we arrived. Completely unacceptable!!! Realjoy, you have ruined a wonderful condo, family trip and customers that have stayed at Hidden Dunes for the last 10 years. After this trip, good riddance.

I only hope your business experiences the same downfall as this trip.

Follow up- while talking to the front desk person, she spoke to her manager. His name is Adam. While speaking to him on speaker phone, his assistant texted the lady at the front desk. Funny enough, I had her phone.

Renee, Adam's assistant, said the following: 'he is such a *** isn't it double red flags today, maybe he should go for a swim. Just wait for this escalation.

Stayed at Dunes of Panama Unit 2002E. I would advise against anyone booking this unit, as I DID NOT have access to the balcony.

There were boards on the doors from the outside..I assume due to an inspection issue or something. RealJoy literally called me on the day of my booking an hour before check in about the balcony being closed! What a way to ruin my Birthday vacation. For you all to claim you had no idea the balcony was closed.

There was a sign posted in the elevator...about work being done in building in E since February!! I recommend anyone who has issues with this company to file a complaint with FL State Attorneys General's, FTC and Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Thats the only way your voice can be truly heard because these reviews dont do too much. Consumers need to be protected from the shady and unethical business practices of this company.

My husband and I traveled last year to Realjoy location and also this year to a Realjoy location. Our customer service representative Lisa was wonderful in our help. She helped so much, gave us recommendations for different places. Our questions we had about our mailbox was solved, and the curtains were solved right away. Thank you for a good service.

REFUND for home i never stayed in

I had a terrible experience with this company. I was charged twice for a rental property and i only stayed at one property.

While traveling i received an email saying that my card was declined and i need to update my card information. I submitted my card information not knowing i was booked for a 2nd property. Once i got home i discovered i was charged twice for a property i never stepped foot on. Once i got back home i called Home to go and RealJoy.

I was told that they cannot refund my money due to them paying property owners. Sam and Tina are very rude they never tried to find a solution or tried to get my money back for rental property i never stayed in. I need to speak with someone over the billing department asap. This is bad business honest mistakes happen all of the time.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They steal your money and when you call back for your money they say that they already paid the owners and there is nothing they can do.

Sam Lidgard, Tina, Lisa are very rude they have horrible customer service and they hang up in your face. WARNING DO NOT RENT HERE DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

No refund during Covid 19 when we are quarantined.

5-25-20 Update: It has been a month now. I did receive an email telling me that THEY cancelled my trip.

Since THEY did it, shouldn't I be entitled a full refund? Also, Governor Desantis halted all vacation rental arrivals until after May 20th. My trip was schedule for the 8th to the 18th.I think the reasonable thing to do is to relax the policy during the pandemic to allow people to take a credit if they so choose or for those in worse situations, full refund.

They have hurt themselves in that, those who are wanting the refund are... on the warpath and will not stop taking all kinds of actions to decimate this company.

HIDEOUS!! Here we are in a pandemic..Covid 19 and Realjoy refused to refund me despite that fact that I found myself unemployed and needed food, keep the lights on etc more than I needed a vacation. They stated: "It is the industry standard to allow re-scheduling of your trip but no refunds". Well, I am in Houston and last I knew the border between Texas and Louisiana was closed to non essential travelers. I couldn't get there if I wanted to unless I fly. During a pandemic...not interested in that. Per the Destin Chamber of Commerce, they have received MANY complaints about Realjoy. She said "By far Realjoy has the most complaints">
