Nightmare and Lost my Money

I paid $2,000 for 3 kind of Reservations. None of them I accomplished since what they told you at the beginning to take your money isn’t what you got through the time.

First your never going to get the time availability for your desire never the destination. The majority of the hotel are the cheapest one that you can find online through other agencies. Here you will get the worth and the ugly places. When I finally got a better one in Cancun now they said I am not longer to renew because I am behind one day of my 30 days period.

Also, I did not paid $2,000 to travel to Mexico, I was looking to travel other countries and city because go to Mexico will no cost to me $2,000 to stay at the hotel. Something else you have to pay extra for all inclusive. How come you travel with kids and no food included and the restaurants are very expensives. Overall do not do this, that is my advise to you, you will be in serious trouble and many many disappointments.

The persons that I deal with over the process they were 4, they are not longer with the company.

Imagine what kind a company is that everyone left the company after steal the money from the consumers.

The manager just referral to them as we are not responsible for what the did with you at the time of reservation. I can’t believed.

RCI a great deal for RCI.

This is the only bank that charges to bank your asset, charges to use the banked points and then keeps everything if the time limit expires. Try to find any resort worth traveling to and and there is always a catch or extra charges. Don't even bother trying to find a summer resort that isn't in 90 plus degree weather. Some resorts have very low exchange fees but charge all-inclusive fees of over $170 per person per night. This is way beyond usual and reasonable fees. When you do get into one of their resorts, the resorts tell us how bad a deal it is working with RCI.

RCI Customer Service Call

Latest one....CS will not transfer to a supervisor - he (Armando) hasn't hang up on me yet - I have him on speaker phone - waited for over 2 hrs....Still waiting..... In Oct 2017 - They tried to rip me off $1500 - got it resolved in Jan 2018. In March 2018 - When abroad, the booked me for a tour in Feb 2018!!!! In April the charge the wrong amount again. What type of services are these people providing?? We pay for this and the services aren't free. We have given them ample time, before exposing them to social media. Maybe now they will get their act together!!! A frustrated Owner/Customer. I have been hang up on, transfer to the wrong dept. many time, besides being cursed out in Oct 2017 by "Dave". This is incredible!!!!

1 month after buying out of our membership, we get a collections notice!

This is the most F'd up company I've ever had the misfortune of falling for. Any and every attempt to book a vacation was met with "not available". We tried to line up a vacation in Hawaii... I know, it's one of the most popular spots... but we started 10 months ahead of time and they put us on a "preferred partner" list which means basically they put us on a looping email that we got about every 6 weeks or so that always said the exact same thing, that they were looking but still hadn't found anything yet. We finally decided to bite the bullet and call it a life lesson, we bought out. We basically threw all of the money in the sewer, never to be seen again. We got written and email confirmation of our settlement and termination of membership. Then, we started getting threatening letters that they were going to send us to collections because we were behind on our membership payments! Today (Saturday) we get a knock on the door and my husband had to sign for receipt of another collections threatening letter! The worst decision we've ever made! Do not fall for any of it, it's bull! Save your money and go on trips when you feel like it.

We pay them money just to be told we are always at fault

If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. I just spoke with a supervisor about why I lost a resort exchange opportunity. I was told that when I was on the site and speaking to one of their representatives, the person told me that I should get out so that she could see it. However, once I got out, someone else grabbed it because it was a live system. It was completely my fault because if I liked it so much I should have clicked on the "confirm" button right away rather than talking to them. He went on an on to say it was entirely my fault. He said that I could not have been that serious about booking it, otherwise I would not have lost it.

We had this timeshare for 3 yrs and finally went to use it. Searched for a vacation on the website for quite awhile on Friday 7/21/17.

Searching for Hawaii islands a year in advance of travel and nothing but *** options came up. I finally spoke with someone from RCI and they mentioned that you rarely if ever get any of the good islands at Hawaii because nobody wants to give them up. Of course this is not what the salesman at Grandview Las Vegas resorts told us when he sold us our timeshare. We wanted this timeshare specifically for Hawaii and Disney and that's what we told him.

Boy did he jump on that...he showed us all these great GOLD CROWN places to stay at Maui...all the great islands and Disney too!!! We ended up buying 1 week every even year and what they call a bonus week that had travel restrictions on it for $10,000. When I mentioned to the RCI rep on the phone what we were told by our salesman she said that that was not their responsibility...RCI didn't sell you the timeshare, we just help book and manage the travel to it. This is of course a bunch of...These companies are all in it together.

My wife and I finally just gave up on Hawaii. We decided to book a trip to Orlando in January of 2018. After searching a while we found a place that was close and got great reviews but did not take up too many points (Orlando's Sunshine Resort II (#5592)). Literally at 5:01pm when I went to book it on my computer I got an error message that said I had to call rci support.

I called but nobody was there. The office had closed at 5:00pm. I rebooted my computer and tried again...then it said I had a vacation on hold and had to release it...I didn't. I called the emergency number and left a message several times.

I had errors the whole weekend. When I called on Monday 9am in the morning I spoke with several support people and they were all having problems with their computers. I told Jeremy the number of the resort and travel slot we were looking for. Was put on hold for ever and then he came back and said there was a problem with my account and they could not do anything.

His supervisor filled out a help desk request for IT for me. Apparently the problem was only happening with MY account. I asked if he could just search vacations another way to at least put a hold on it manually for me. He said there was nothing more he could do and told me it could be a couple of days or so.

I asked if someone could notify me when my account was okay. He said no. Yes that's right!!! I was told to just keep trying on my own and there was absolutely nothing they could do.

I was frustrated told Jeremy that I didn't believe it was just my account and thought it was the whole system because another customer service rep told me she was having computer issues in general and did not say it was just my account. I did apologize to Jeremy...after all I was not mad a him, just the company and management itself. Warning do not every buy a time share unless you plan to stay wherever you buy all the time. We bought in Las Vegas and planned on never using it...just trading it in for power/points to travel elsewhere.

Got suckered into it. It's our fault for not researching. You are better off booking vacations on your own and searching for the best options. Timeshares make you pay maintenance fees and you also have to pay subscriptions fees to RCI that has really bad service.

In addition when you book at their vacation resorts there are additional "stay" and housekeeping fees.

These are sometimes weekly and sometimes a daily fee. In the end its at the very least the same price if you book on your own without all the hassle and BS.

Floridian Hotel

We (spouse), flew to florida for a long weekend 15-18 December, checked into *** star Floridian Hotel, walking to my room I knew i mad a mistake in reserving this hotel. ie: no more than 5 cars were in parking lot.

looked like a pull off and screw hotel. We walked into the room and just looked at each other. I turned the light on in the bathroom and area outside of bathroom and Nats flying all around. Notified RCI they told me to take pictures, well I killed the nats so there was no picture.

Big run around with RCI. so I went to the evening Mgr. at the front desk and told him we were checking out because of the bugs and he said well you opened the door. so i said id like a refund and he said have RCI contact him and he'd be glad to give a refund., but RCI is dragging their feet talking about policy which i understand the policy.

they RCI said some Roberto from their investigation dept. said he contacted the hotel and the hotel said no and RCI was happy with a no and that's it.

Fantastic

My mom bought a week almost 40 yrs ago, and we have NEVER had an issue with RCI. She gave me a week for my honeymoon, and an additional week to go skiing with friends with out any issues. Mom and I used our week, just about every year for close to 40 years and never had an issue and encountered only one pretty icky place in all those year. I'm very glad it is mine now, yet VERY sad in the way I inherited it. Mom's cousin purchased one a couple years before and have enjoyed it too. I am not aware of any issues she had either.

Bad, scam, and no help

OMG, these people are so bad. We need to do something here.

As I got the same as your seduce and scams into buying it for $10000. I did not have money. So I put my credit card at risk. After over 2 yrs, I decided you use it when go to Dallas.

The room they booked for me through point system with CRI, so bad, so so bad. The hotel was Gateway Hotel. It was smelled, dirty, and oh my... just very bad.

I called CRI representatives and asked if anything they can do for me. After 7 people and no help. I decided to check out from Gateway and stay elsewhere .

It is a complete mistake. And I hope that some one can closed them down or pay me back all money that I have been paying them plus the hassle I have to deal with.

RCI = Complete Rip-Off

Scheduled to go to Glacier National Park in Montana - yes the one that's on fire -and called about options. Short answer, there are none.

With Going to the Sun Road, closed, Sperry Chalet burned to the ground, Lake McDonald Lodge inaccessible, West Entrance closed, and over 15,000 acres scorched, RCI insists "it's policy NOT to refund either points used or exchange fee ($299.00). When asked about effects of recent hurricanes, same BS answer - policy that you are not given any options as long as the resort is open.

So you get to choke on smoke filled air, see nothing as there are evacuations taking place, or lose your points & $$$ on the exchange. I don 't know if there are any reputable exchange services, but RCI is NOT one of them!

Get out of contract

No one is going to help you get out of timeshare for free. Be careful with the companies that ask for money up front.

Make sure these companies have at least paid to be apart of the BBB. (even though the BBB is biggest scam too. youtube BBB 60 minutes for a good laugh) With that being said the reason these companies operate this way is because the companies that offer timeshare relief get scammed by consumers too. What I mean by this is when a customer has to pay to get out of something they don't want they feel like they got burned twice.

The company pays a title service and a lawyer to get name removed from contracts and deed then the consumer doesn't pay for the service. It's not cheap but it's better than paying these big companies for a product that doesn't work. I know if you are reading this you probably want out of your timeshare.

Sorry to tell you the harsh reality but there is a way out at least. If you have more questions or need help you can contact me @ 704-800-****
