Poor customer service

Would prefer 0 stars. My 85 yr old mother was wondering about a distribution she normally gets from them but, as a senior not familiar w technology wasn't sure how to find out.
She gave me her account info, any other information in case they asked. All I asked for was a DATE, a month even, she could expect to receive it. First rep I spoke to hung up on me after telling me to get a POA. Called back, again denied this simple request.
While I understand the need for security more than ever, this is utterly ridiculous. We have a growing aging problem and this only makes it harder for those of us caring for them. To suggest I force my mother to give up power of attorney to get a date for a REQUIRED minimum distribution is an unnecessary burden.
My own investment advisor could not understand this. Seems more like a power play.

Raymond James lost all history of closed Morgan Keegan accounts. We don't know happened to an IRA account with Morgan Keegan.
The companies merged in 2012. The IRA was established in the late 90's.
Preferred solution: Find the history of the account.

Its sad I cannot find a 24-hour telephone number for customer service. I periodically have trouble logging in to my account because it will not accept my security question answer which I know is correct.
This is the third for fourth time this has happened. Now I am locked out once again.
