RAPID LIFT
Re: Rapid Lift
We were recently in exactly the same situation. Forklift paid for in full with a promised delivery date of 2 weeks.
Exactly 6 months later no forklift and numerous excuses.
We finally tricked them into supplying a VIN so then we registered a security under the PPSR and bingo we got our forklift - only just in time from the look of this forum.
We will never deal with Jodie or Graeme Dillon ever again. These people should be banned from starting up again.
I am concerned that they may have started under other name and will take more people for a ride.
Shoddy Dealers
Bought a forklift, paid for it. 2 months later received something close - older (3yrs), with more hours and broken (oil leaks, no electrics, stuffed radiator...)6 month later - still nothing "it's coming soon" is the general response.
When they are called, either the phone isn't answered or they hang up on you. Promises are cheap, but need some action. waiting on someone else to buy a new one before I can get a 2nd hand one. Not sure what happened to all the different ones we got sent photo's of, but none of them exist anymore.
Stay Clear of these guys
Fork Lift Rip off
Today whilst in Brisbane we took the time to visit Rapid Lift at their Coopers Plains outlet, to discuss the location of our fork lift.(supposedly 'on order with the factory')
In typical shonky salesman style, they all ran for cover and didn`t want to offer a name, let alone a business card. Result - they offer no solution or help to resolve this rip off.
We are looking to put together a legal case against this company to help ourselves & others. Also to warn potential future customers not to deal with this company.
Please call our office on 61 2 **** **** if you would like to get involved.
We ordered a new fork lift thru Rapid lift at a cost of AUD50,000. It took them two months to deliver the incorrect fork lift to our Newcastle depot.
Naturally we asked to have the correct fork delivered only to be told we will have to wait a couple of months to receive it.
(Factory in China to blame) NINE months later still no closer to having the correct fork lift. Do not deal with Rapid Lift Pty Ltd, 786 Beaudesert Rd, Coopers Plains, QLD.
They are liars & thieves!
so do your self a favor stay away from these duds

We eventually received our 11.5 ton forklift after months of lies and broken promises, minus the air conditioned cab I might add, no I am very pissed off as I had agreed to lave this fitted at a later date, no chance now I guess :( , thankfully we financed our unit and insisted on inspecting it prior to signing the final paper work.
Not sure if there is any chance of us getting the a/c cab, if any one knows any info I can post my contact number.
From day one the entire Rapidlift team were full of b/s, never answered calls and when they did answer emails everyone of them just past the buck, don't know where they got the company name from but it certainly wasn't lived up to.
These guys should not be in business .
12-297MR Brisbane businessman charged with fraud
Friday 30 November 2012
Mr Graeme Anthony Dillon, a businessman from Hawthorne, Queensland, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today on fraud charges, following an ASIC investigation.
Mr Dillon, 49, is charged with two counts of fraud that concern a number of transactions in relation to his former Brisbane company, Independent Forklift Services (Qld) Pty Ltd and its North Queensland subsidiary, both now in liquidation.
ASIC alleges that between November 2006 and May 2007, Mr Dillon dishonestly induced Capital Finance Australia Pty Ltd to provide finance to the companies by lodging false invoices for the purchase of forklifts.
Mr Dillon was not required to enter a plea and has been released on bail on the condition he surrender his passport and not approach any point of departure from Australia.
The matter was adjourned for further mention before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 18 January 2013.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting the matter.
Background
The criminal charges were laid under section 408C(1) of the Queensland Criminal Code and carry a penalty of five years imprisonment. As the charge in relation to Independent Forklift Services (Qld) Pty Ltd relates to a sum greater than $30,000, the potential penalty (for that charge) is increased to a maximum of 10 years imprisonment.
Editor's note:
On 18 January 2013 Mr Dillon appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court where the matter was adjourned until 8 February 2013 for mention.
On Friday 22 March 2013 in the District Court in Brisbane, Mr Dillon was committed to stand trial on a date to be fixed. His conditional bail continues.
Lets hope he goes to JAIL:
We have been chasing Jody and Graham Dillon in the courts for 6 months over a fork lift ordered last year. Was told it had arrived and to pay (jan) so we did.
We were in the final stages of having assets seized when I received a phone call today advising they were in liquidation. The person who informed me has advised there are over 60 customers who have paid in full and never got a fork lift.
What a joke.
I have look Graham in the eye and there is no remorse at all. And now they are starting a new business www.forkliftrentalsaustralia.com.au
