AI Highlights
  • -Deal for a 2012 Land Rover trade-in toward a 2020 Forester Sport was agreed but the manager pressed for a higher value, claimed oil burning and threatened to stall the signed deal.

To who it may concern, My husband and I were at the Subaru dealership on Rt17 Ramsey Nj on Saturday Oct 26. Our sales person spent a great deal of time getting us a deal we could both agree on.

We were trading in our 2012 Land Rover. We came up with a deal we were all pleased with. We signed the customer agreement and were in the process of setting up a date to pick up our 2020 Forester Sport. This was when.

We were approached by the sales manager that told us we needed to come to a better agreement on the amount of our trade in. He went on to say my car was burning oil, which is not a fact. I have taken very good care of the maintenance of my Land Rover and was trading in a good condition car. We were so blindsided by this, we already had a signed agreement and gave a credit card to put a down payment.

The manager than went on to say he wanted us to wait so he could call venders to see what he could get for my trade in car. Are you kidding, we just spent hours finalizing this deal with our salesperson and now this. We had just about enough. This manager was rude and very aggressive and really could care less that we got up to leave.

We were paying cash for this car and the money the manager was concerned about was $500 dollars. That was ridiculous that he could destroy a deal and could care less for $500.

Our sales person was Michael Martinez,he remained very professional but we could not believe the treatment we were getting from this sales manager. We will never buy a car from this establishment.

Sincerly, David & Debra Cron
