I never complain about a business because I believe life is just too short. But every now and again you have to take a stand. I and another worker were dressed in a suit and after work we were to join colleagues at a local dive bar we never tried called R Bar located 3331 W 8th St Los Angeles. I walked up to the door with my fellow worker and we were asked for 2 pieces of ID. Either a passport and DL or interesting a green card. That was offensive. Now I'm Asian American and he is African American. I told them I only have my drivers license which we both produced. The lady then told us we cannot come in unless we have 2 pieces of ID. I called inside where 3 of our friends who were white were already in the bar, they came out and explained they never even got carded. Anyway we all left and will never do business with R Bar again. I am 40 and born and raised in LA and very disappointed businesses exist in LA like this. User's recommendation: I would not suggest this place
