Qwest verizon bundling scam

Do not bundle you Verizon with Century Link. Two cell phone ported out and shut off in May. Charged on phone thru July being told by Qwest we had to pay bill or have phone and internet disconnected. Paid until Verizon verified phone were disconnected in May. Verizon issued invoice credit in July to Qwest for $253.00 in over payment Six months later no credit, no refund. Verizon states Qwest was account holder so all $$$$ transaction, past and present go thru them and Qwest says the opposite. Everytime we call we get a different answer and everytime we call no one is willing to take responsibility. Were did our money go???? and how do we get it back????

Qwest sucks again

Some tech got an order messed and cut my phone and internet at 10am on Tuesday morning. I called Qwest and told the customer service rep to contact dispatch to tell the tech to fix the error. The Rep told me that the dispatch tech could not repair any mistakes without an order in his hand. The tech was standing in the building and the ignorant monkey boy wouldnt flip a switch. The losers at the call center wouldnt let me talk to the dispatch team or ignorant monkey boy to tell them that they screwed up. So 3 days later, everything is back on. LAME

Qwest installers no show, no compensation for me taking half day off work

I have been a loyal customer of Qwest for over a decade. I decided to purchase their Direct TV package. I signed on for a 2 year agreement, and took a 1/2 day off work to meet their installers for our scheduled installation. When no one showed up, I called and spent 25 of my cel phone minutes to find out that my appointment was never actually scheduled. Now I need to take another 1/2 day off work next week. What does Qwest do to help me out? Solicite me for cel phone business. They claim that there is absolutely nothing I they can do for my loss, which was their error. I can't believe they would leave a customer this upset and not offer anything for compensation. I will be sure to return the favor.

Qwest Promotion lies

Qwest representative told me on the phone that high speed internet would be 29.99 per month for first six month to try. I said yes. What a mistake! With all the bills, bundle garbage, I was getting $300 bill, $187 bill and the last is at $99.95. It is all a scam, with a base price but with endless sheets of charges and fees to run up the cost. Initially, it was "bundled" with Verizon cell phone, supposed to be 39.99 unlimited, never got a bill for that price, and my land line which is always $35/month and I never make a call ! I will get rid of the "high speed scam" very, very soon and when I reach the year time frame, they can have the Verizon Cell phone back too !!!!!!!! They are disgusting !

Never met a customer service group where the customer had to prove everything. If you do business with Qwest, you must keep a copy of everything you do with them.

Amazing they're still around, really. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Guest

Yep just spent an hour on the phone with a savy sales rep trying to get them to honor the deal they sold me. I fortunately had a pdf copy of the chat when I ordered my service....14.99 a month internet any speed, 50 account credit, 50 visa gift card.

Total one time charges of 21.55. The reality was 40 a month, no credits or gift cards, 35 install one time charges. I finally got the rep to conceed (cause I had documented proof)to credit me 100 for the account credit and gift card I never got and 50 for the overcharges on the monthly fee. He flatly refused to adjust for the one time fees.

He said he could be he won't.

I think I will take my credits and run screaming.......LESSON FOR ALL IS DOCUMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION. They don't expect we are that smart.

Screwed me with technician dispatch

Dear qwest customer service. I already spoke to 2 reps on the phone and 1 manager and it seems like no one can resolve this issue that was originated by a mistake on the qwest side of things. I decided to give qwest a try and I signed up for qwest internet service at best buy. I bought the m1000 modem and waited 2 weeks to have the internet service activated. Two weeks later for some reason I wasnt getting any internet access so I decided to call customer service and first I was told the issue was my modem and I had to upgrade to a better one. Once I got the PK5000 I was told that since that didn't fix the issue they would have to send out a tech to take a look at the problem to which I said "NO, I do not want to pay for a tech to come to my place and do any repairs thank you. I will just go back to COMCAST". But this lady on the phone assured me that I WOULD NOT have to pay anything UNLESS I agreed to have what ever repairs needed to be done done. So, now I look at my bill and there's a charge for a tech having come out to my apartment. WHY??? If one of your reps ASSURED me that unless I had repairs done I would not have to pay ANYTHING. So I dont know if qwest is training their reps to lie to customers like that on purpose or what. Here's the deal, I was lied to or misled by one of your employees. I said I didn't want to pay anything, your rep said I wouldn't have to, but now I do? Well, if she messed up she should be the one to pay those 85.00 for having the tech come out to my home. She screwed up, she should be held liable for her mistake. Not me!! I was told by a manager that it costs qwest 150 for sending techs out even if they dont fix anything. Well... It was not my intention to have the tech come out. It was your employee that pushed for him to come out. She insisted and insisted that NO MONEY WOULD COME OUT OF MY POCKET UNLESS I AGREED TO HAVE REPAIRS DONE. SHE MESSED UP!! AND SHE SHOULD PAY FOR HIM HAVING COME OUT, NOT ME!! Please write back to me with some good news.

I agree. Qwest recently started offering broadband DSL service in my area under the consolidate name "CenturyLink".

What a joke! I had it all installed, requested no installation fee and they sent a "Qwest" service guy for a 5 minute job to actually screw up my signal and now want to (3 days later) send a repair tech (to unscrew up his own job) and want me to pay the $50 repair fee! REDICULOUS! Can't believe the way consumers are getting screwed in the worsening economy from Corporate America.

The finance execs at both CenturyLink and Qwest know exactly what they are doing! It's passing the buck to the consumers and Century Link knows this as I wanted a direct line to a field dispatcher to come "flip whatever switch" he mistakenly turned off and was told "they are confidential and for internal use only". That was all after talking to to customer services reps and a supervisor who "didn't have it in the realm of their responsibility" to change my billing. How convenient!

Their customer service was just as lame as they could not even speak my language and just repeated my own install steps back to me! They are clearly not qualified and just a warm body to answer call center phone service and just direct traffic flow. A robot could do the same without all the high service fees! It's a joke!

Broadband agreements and consolidations are on the rise with all the changes in cell phone internet services, SO BEWARE! Also, I'm typing this on my tmobile hotspot which I've already hit my 5gs and is slower than dial up! That's a whole nother complaint! Be warey of their "hotspot" deals as well as they slow your service after 5gs as they can't figure out how to pro-rate and their cell towers can't currently handle the volumes.

They are looking to consolidate as well with companies just like Centurylink & QWEST. I'm almost certain that the service will remain just as incompetent and costly.

Qwest over charges in bundle services

I had been a Qwest customer since 1997, then the bill was manageable. At my time of disconnecting in February 2011 the bundle package increased my phone bill to over $280 a month. I tried to unbundle first my Verizon in Dec. 2010 which both companies agreed to. Did not happen. My cell phone instead was turned off and I was still paying for it. I gave up and had a local company install internet, and phone service. I got a deal on satellite separately. I went to Verizon got my phones back and miracles occurred. My Verizon bill went down $20. This bundling is a rip off Qwest, now Century Link charged more to take less off. I am in collections but have four years of proof where Qwest ripped me off monetarily. I hope Century Link goes down also

we moved our office and had to keep Qwest / Century link because of a contract. Century Link charged $50 per line to move the phone.

Then on top off that a technician charged a first jack / wiring fee of $110. He did nothing but check to see if I had a dial tone for both lines from inside the office. Qwest has never charged for me for that in the past.

Some merger... just a big RIP-OFF!

I moved to Portland Or. from northern CA and not knowing which is the best phone and internet service I ordered Quest because they claimed the service was $65.

a month. I received a bill for $125. shortly after I moved in. When I called and questioned my bill they said the majority of the charges were for the installation fee.

What installation fee? They left a box of components at my front door which I installed myself. Now i'm into Quest for less than two months and I receive another bill for $95., What happened to the $65. a month?

I noticed the home phone portion of the bill was riddled with hidden charges.

Needless to say I called Quest and canceled. I now have a different service that has no installation fees or hidden charges.

Not only was my bundling a nightmare from the start as they did not mention for the first 2 months that I would have to pay 2 seperate bills they could have mentioned that up front then after the 2 months from April everything was fine then now in July 2011 4 months later they shut my Direct TV off tried to call Qwest and they told me to call Direct TV called Direct TV and they stated that Qwest is responsible if anyone has any suggestions for a better company that offers internet, phone and cable please let me know....STAY VERY CLEAR OF THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY THAT PROMISES EVERYTHING AND DELIVERIES NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE

Qwest ripped me off for the past 3 years

have had qwest phone and internet for 3 years. then i was dumb enough to switch from dish network to directv through qwest. oh it was going to save me sooooo much money. i always felt their home phone was too expensive. so i got rid of the landline and was just using my cell phone. after getting rid of the landline my internet jumped up to 60 dollars a month plus all their taxes. they are offering new users internet for 14.95 a month. how bout a lil appreciation for a customer who sticks with ya?? after i called and asked if there was something i could do to drop my bill it jumped up to 230.00 a month for internet and basic satellite?? just told them to disconnect me. i cant afford that. i found a different company who offers tv and internet for 70 dollars a month. yeah they will probably sue me and come up with all the fake contracts i broke. but hey i cant pay that each month. thats crazy.

Qwest bundle.....The rip off!

In 2 and a half months of service, I have had more problems and lies through Qwest than I have ever had from any other business in my life. They promised hassle free, uninterrupted service, 7 meg internet, and #1 rated customer service. After I signed up, I was informed that 5 megs was the fastest available. They are not open for customer service after 6 pm or on the weekends. They miscommunicated with DirectTV and overpaid them, then tried to charge me extra, and ended up shutting off our tv. I am currently waiting to switch back to Comcast, but DirectTV and Qwest are threatening me with the cancellation fee, even though they lied and have not fulfilled their part of the agreement.

May the people at Qwest rot in ***.

Guest

At Qwest there exists a culture of corruption, coersion, and customer service reps incentivized to NOT acknowledge or address the companys errors and mistakes (that is when you finally get to speak to one after being on hold for a minimum of 45 minutes each and every time. Then they don't answer any questions and transfer you to another rep and the 45 minute or more wait begins again. If you sign up for anything from Qwest, be prepared for months and years of spending entire mornings or afternoons on the telephone, again and again, with nothing be resolved.

Guest

Stay clear of Qwest at ANY cost. They add (and charge for)services that were never ordered then relentlessly bill and harass to collect.

Never did I ever think a company would be able to operate so dishonestly and unscrupulously in the U.S. as Qwest.

I suspect it must be run by organized crime. DO NOT purchase anything or service from this horrible company.

jackie h Awh

on 3-13-2011 i picked up an 800 number(I usally don't). it was quest offering me the best deal ever(it was).

bundling for 110.00 amonth that includes taxes. phone, internet and direct t.v. ist bill came,265.??. called qwest they suggest I call dtv.

I did, got the run around. finally talked to a guy at qwst, I had paid the 200+ and I received a credit of 192. because I agreed to 129. month for all three.

I got my bill a week ago, I owe 66.. they seem to have forgotten, that that should be credit. and the original bill if 181.??. I have not called them, cuz it is hours on the phone what can I do about this?

I had written to better bb and before they could respond I agreed to the 129.

and that, of course didn't work. it wrecks days, Like I can afford 181.00.

Guest

same, what a nightmare nothing but trouble since day one the bundle i was to get was not the one they gave, charges on bill that i did not ok the are a bunch of thieves, customer service is a joke.

Guest

quest offered to bundle my internet and phone service and over charged me 300 dollars and made me pay it to have my phone service turned back on. I am going to cancel my payment to them in two days after they turn my phone on again. Do not use quest.

Guest

Qwest makes my life a living ***!!!! Down with this company!!!

This bundle was not what was advertised. My story is the same as above. Unbundled everything and canceled everything possible except for a $10.00 a month internet. For 3 months following I was charged for an extra internet line and everything was still bundled and active and being charged for, even though I was paying my unbundled accounts separately. I called over and over the past 3 months to get a credit to find that they had no record of me canceling anything and blaming me for not paying for the extra internet line!

Sooo, After exactly 1 hr and 20 minutes screaming on the phone with a Qwest supervisor I was able to break the contract and get a credit. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Good bye Qwest!

DM Mgr

They sold me internet at 3meg and now I'm told that my area only has 256k available. 256k!!!

That's as slow as dial up. I can only check my email and come to websites like this. Youtube and news sites like CNN and FoxNews are out of the question, my connection is simply too slow to handle them.

I'll be canceling my service and switching to cable. Qwest fails!

Qwest WILL steal money from you

Qwest continually tries to add hidden charges. When we call to get them removed, they fight it like crazy. We have had to call every month for the last 12 months to get our bill correct, always having to talk to a new, horrible, and unintelligent person. Each month, it takes a minimum of one hour to get it straightened out, and sometimes they refuse to change it. We finally dropped them as a phone provider. Now, upon closing our account, they claim we bounced a check and owe them the fee for that, but our bank has absolutely no record of this ever happening, although the check did not go through, it was never even tried to put through. EVERY single one of our neighbors has had a similar experience with Qwest. They are not worth anyone's time or money. OH, and the internet service goes out every time the power does, and it takes them at least a day to get it back running again.

QWEST ADVERTISEMENT FOR FIBER OPTIC

Qwest's internet is a joke! First, had a Qwest technician come out to my house to switch to internet. Tech seems like in rushed! Told tech to double check if I can get dsl. Tech says do you hear a dial tone, I said yes. He says you can get onto the internet. That is where the headache begins. Countless times I called tech support and countless times they sent a tech to repair it. This is going on for about a month!! Still no dsl!!! Today, when the current tech comes out, explains my neighborhood line has lead lines! WTF!! Says will have to wait for new company to repair it!!! When is that going to happen...not going to hold my breath. BEWARE ALL. This could happen to you.

QWEST

They told me to pay in full my wifes phone bill to close it out and start in back up. I did this all 300 dollars the service was off from 03/09/11 to 04/07/11. And is in my name now, they decided 4 days later to give us the credit to her account which was already closed out and send a bill for 179 dollars WTF kind of idiots do they have working there? They also recieved a complaint from me 6 months ago about the service panel outside that no-longer has a cover over the front of it and the broken mount for the box on the side of the house, for service from the box that is missing a cover and the rubber shrink wrap they put over the box is now split open exposed to all elements of weather. Every time you call them you could be talking to someone from the same state or someother state three states away.

QWEST Does not Honer their contracts.

I was lied to by a sales rep for QWEST. She assured me that if QWEST could not provide me with services where I was moving then I would be let out of contract. IT'S A LIE. They will charge you the early termination fee even if you die. I am going to my old job OTR trucking and will not be homesteading because I do not have any idea yet as to where I will be homesteading. I called up to cancel my QWEST internet and was told I had to pay 200 dollars to cancel. I was told however that I was moving into a truck and needed services there. They said they could not provide services to my truck and I would have to pay to get out of the contract. I said no I will continue to hold my end of the contract and pay my monthly charge and I expect QWEST could honer their end of the contract and provide me services to the truck. They said they could not and I have to pay. So I have no rights when it comes to QWEST.

:( why did i just get a call from some other company saying as of aug 1st my bill will be going up qwest sold out to them and they do not have to honor my contract of 2 years for a set amount for phone and internet

Guest

I work at Qwest and if the customer tells us they were informed at the time of setting up the contract that if they move out of regiion that we can waive the fee then we have to waive it. I personaly waive around 5 a day due to this situation. I suggest calling back.

Qwest Internet Service: Poor switch to new service

For over two weeks, endings hours on the phone waiting and then talking with tech persons, and countless emails (sent and received) the switch from Qwest MSN to Qwest q.com of my information has still not occurred. That includes emails, calendar, favorites. Even their sub contractor True Switch has not yet solved the problem. They've told me 4 times now that the transfer has occured. I'm still waiting. Their "spirit of service" they tout has not occured in my case. And I've been a Qwest customer for 37 years, also getting Direct TV and of course phone service through Qwest.

Qwest has the worst customer service that I have experienced. I have called them 4 times and they still have my order wrong.

Now they are billing me for charges that should not be on the bill because they screwed up my order.

This is not worth the aggravation. Do yourselves a favor and look for another carrier.

Guest

Was your transfer of folders and contacts ever successful? I have been trying to make the transfer for 6 weeks.

Trueswitch says the IMAP settings need to be enabled, qwest says they already are enabled. I am close to dumping qwest altogether.

PISSED OFF aMERICAM...NT THAT YOU CARE!

I have been a customer of Qwest for almost 2 years. I WILL BE GLAD when my contract is over!!! U.S. Based customer service is the BIGGEST JOKE in the world!!! Even people in Ogden Utah should know how to speak English. I'm cancelling my service as soon as the contract is fulfilled. I have had nothing but trouble for the past 2 months...since the "HOSTILE TAKEOvER TO CENTURY LINK", and if I EVER have to deal with Qwest again, I'd rather slit a vein. I am a disabled vet and use the computer almost exculsively for my daily routines. QWEST/CENTURY LINK does NOT know how to treat it's customers. I hope they go down in flames!!!

I can't believe the out right deception in Quest Technical Support. I call, give them my phone number.

Instantly the Internet light comes on, my internet connection is restored. The Technician comes on. Says you connection looks ok to me. Then as soon as i hang up the Internet light goes out and i instantly lose connection again.

Wow!

I am surprised Quest has any customers!!!! This is fraud!!

High Speed Fail - slower than dial-up

My internet connection got slower and slower over the period of a month, eventually I could not even use certain websites. I called the tech department, and they did a test. I am supposed to get 3mb and he told me my connection speed is only 256k, which is slower than dial up. He told me that they had put a ticket in to fix the hub in my area, and that everyone is getting only 256k speed. They would not tell me when the ticket was put in, or when they expected to complete the repairs. I called the next business day to speak to a supervisor in billing, so that I could be credited for what I had paid for my internet this month. I told them I had already spoken to the tech department and explained my situation. I was put on hold and then transferred to the tech department, despite my specific request to speak to a billing supervisor. Of course, the tech department had to transfer me back to billing, after I gave all of my information again. When the billing department answered, they began their normal spiel of trying to upsell Norton antivirus and their bundling. Someone at Qwest really needs to change their upselling policies. They obviously require sales pitches for every single call, even if the call is from a very upset customer who has been screwed over. All I ask as a consumer is a little common sense. Nothing fancy--just decent.
