I leased to own a 2011 KIA Sorento.
At 36,000 miles I started experiencing trouble. When I brought the car back to Quirk KIA in Braintree.
They told me there was an issue with the pump. They fixed it and I took the vehicle home. The next day There was blue smoke coming from the tail pipe. I called the dealership, they said bring it back in.
They had the vehicle for three weeks and wouldn't not get back to me. When my husband finaly got in touch with a manager,we were told the engine was gone and that it was our fault. They refused to fix it! Said it would cost us $7,000 to rebuild a new engine.
We called KIA corporation and were given the run around. I now own the car out right. Side note: While making payments I had to keep full insurance, I was told that's the law. I have to drive around a beaten up old car.
While my KIA sits in my garage. The whole experience has been financially emotionally exhausting! I want all my money back or a brand new top of the line car!
I will NEVER buy another KIA or go to Quirk again. I also have been spreading the word so no one else will have to deal with an issue like this.
