Complaint Type: Customer Service Issues

Description of Complaint: on 4/10/20 purchased gas at the QuickChek station on Route 17 Ramsey, NJ. When I picked up my meds at Walgreens in Airmont NY on 4/27/20 my check engine light came on along with other warning lights.

I called Subaru and they scheduled an appointment on 41.29/20. When I brought the car in they told me that the gas cap was not put on correctly, and they charged me $75.321ust to screw the gas cap back on. NOTE: Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, l was self-isolating and only drove my car to get meds, food, or doctor appointments. I filled out the form on the QuickChek website requesting reimbursement for their negligence.

I got no response. I sent a letter to their Corporate office on 5/7/20 and got no response. On 5/13/20 I called them and Katlin said she would check it out and get back to me. After I made several other calls, Katlin called me 5/26/20 stating that the company would give me $25 for my trouble.

I said that was not unacceptable. Katlin said that said would check with her boss Suzanne Delvecchio and get back to me. I am still waiting for a response.

Desired Settlement: Refund

Desired Outcome Description: New Jersey law does not allow me to pump my own gas. QuickChek worker did not put the gas cap back on correctly.

Thus, the necessity to bring the car to the dealer to determine car warning lights messages. I want QuickChek to pay for the cost of this repair.

Loss:
$75

Preferred solution: Full refund
