I do not recommend this company for the following reasons:

1.This company engages in false advertising. In the one-page ad in my mobile home magazine, Quality Mobile Home Services, Inc.

claims they are Better Business Bureau accredited. However, if you look up the Pleasanton office on the BBB website, you'll see that they are not accredited and they have a rating of D+. (The corporate office in southern CA has a different rating.)

https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/pleasanton/profile/home-services/quality-mobile-home-services-inc-1116-90****

I wish I would've researched this company more thoroughly before signing a contract with them, but I have cancer and I’ve been on chemo for 5 months and I just wanted my roof fixed quickly and professionally before the rainy season hit.

2.This company’s pricing for roof replacement is very high. They quoted a total price of $17,780, reduced to $13,000 with their 25% discount.

According to HomeAdvisor, the average for the San Jose area is $11,000. QMHS required a non-refundable deposit of $1,000.

3.The project manager gives misleading and false information. He made numerous promises about possible installation dates, only to recant them later. He was unresponsive to phone calls.

I called four times over a two-month period to get a project update, but he did not return my calls.

Here are the details: I signed a contract with Quality Mobile Home Services, Inc. on 9/12/19 to have my roof replaced. Nick Bennett, the project manager, told me in our initial conversation (9/17/19) that the roof would be installed by mid-October, well before the rainy season. He said it would take a couple weeks to get the state permit and another couple weeks to get a tear-off date from the state inspector.

The contract stated the work would be completed by 11/12/19 at the latest, to give the company some wiggle room in case of unforeseen events. Today is 12/9/19, and the work has still not begun.

Mid-October came and went. I hadn't heard from Nick for 5 weeks since our initial phone conversation, so I gave him a call on 10/18/19 and left a voicemail message asking for an update. He didn't return my call until 10/25/19.

He said there were two customers ahead of me in the queue. He said the state inspector had been out on medical leave for a month and the roof jobs were backed up. OK - that was beyond their control and accounts for a one-month delay. He said they were now looking at a mid-November installation date.

He said he'd call back on 11/8/19 with an update. He promised to keep me informed. However, I didn't hear from Nick again for an entire month, so I called him on 11/19/19 asking for an update. He wasn't in his office, so I left a message.

He didn't return my call. At this point I became suspicious that he might be installing roofs for other angry customers and ignoring me. Now the rainy season has started. I called again two weeks later on 12/2/19.

Nick told me I was next in line and my roof would be installed the following week. I said rain was forecasted for all next week. He countered that according to the forecast he uses, no rain was expected on Monday 12/9 and Tuesday 12/10. He said the old roof could be removed on Monday and the new roof installed on Tuesday.

I asked him to call me if the date was postponed for any reason. He agreed, but he didn’t call.

I called this morning (12/9/2019) to ask if the job was still on schedule. Nick claimed he never told me the job was scheduled for 12/9-12/10. He said he didn’t talk to the state inspector until Thursday 12/5 and the job was now scheduled for Thursday 12/12 and Friday 12/13.

I asked why he didn’t call me with the new schedule. He said he planned to call me today (12/9). I didn't believe him. When someone lies and doesn't follow through on commitments, they lose your trust.

I certainly don't trust this man or this company. I never would've signed the contract if I knew the company would try to install the roof during the rainy season (shingles don't adhere to wet surfaces).

I was so angry at being lied to and put off so many times and I don't want my expensive new roof installed during the rainy season (we've had several inches of rain in the past week and the roof is still wet). I cancelled the job based on breach of contract (the roof was not installed by 11/12/19 as promised). The contract states that no refunds will be given after 3 days.

So, they'll keep my $1,000 deposit without delivering anything. I refuse to do business with this unethical company. I'd never recommend them to anyone. I want my deposit back.

P.S.

It rained on 12/10 and 12/11. Rain is expected on 12/13 and all next week.

So the roof could not have been installed on those dates anyway. The rainy season typically lasts from mid-November through mid-April.

Just when you think your doing the right thing????

Back in September I decided we had to get some work done on my mom's mobile home. We contacted several companies that do work on mobile homes and decided , even though they are on the most expensive end we would go with Quality Mobile Home Services, 7059 Commerce Circle, Pleasanton, Ca.

94588. Since the initial visit from Dave it has been quite a bit different. It took them three weeks to even start, no phone calls, nothing. They finally started 30th of October and finished up on the 3rd of November, so I thought.

The next morning we noticed the linoleum in the kitchen was lifting everywhere and the same thing in the bathroom. To make matters worse we noticed in the pantries the didn't even lay new linoleum, the pantry still had half of the old tile still there and behind the refrigerator the piece they put there didn't even come close to fitting and the didn't put any trim there at all. In the bathroom the trim doesn't fit most of the pieces are to small. They sent a worker out here on Friday to fix it but when he realized how much needed to be done he said he'd be back on Monday.

Well here we are again kitchen all torn apart 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and no kitchen floor. So I guess it doesn't matter how much you pay the workmanship says it all and the follow up and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Now I'm stuck with now what!!!!! Wow it's hard to believe this is what $ 23,000 gets you.

If this company is based in Lake Elsinore, Ca., doing business as,"Quality Mobile Home Services Inc." Also, dba, "Mobile Home Remodel Experts", then I will say, on May 3,2016, (with an appt. time between 12-2pm) The salesman shows up 1-1/2 hour late, @3:23pm, no courtesy calls, He climbs up to the roof, his ladder 22" below the roof line, causing subsequent damage to my aluminum siding, (see pic) and after several emails and two phone conversations, all I ever got was, "we too busy," even after this salesman, acknowledged he damaged it, and in trying to pop it out, he made one second to the right, worse than it was! Then told me, he would have "his guys" come back soon, to plunger then out." This sheet is not flat, but a subtle rolling up and down, as you can see, so I don't think that would work anyway.

They have been totally avoiding me, and hoping that I simply go away. I have a few emails, and a phone call from them, so they can't say they never received any of my emails or calls to them! Email addresses for both the office, and to customers service, are correct. They can try to say that they never received any such emails, from me, but I have proof.

Today is June 28, 2016, and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, NOR WOULD I EVER TRUST, THESE COMPANIES, FOR ANY FUTURE SERVICE NEEDS, and instead, I would try to find someone....MORE HONEST!

I do not apreciate having to look at this damage, everytime single time I go in and out, of my home. I'm sure if someone went to their house and damaged it, they would want this taken care of ASAP, but what makes me, any different?

Because they no longer make this 4x8 aluminum sheeting, this further escalates my PISSED OFF DISPOSITION!!! Now I really want to them to pay! I told the guy to set his ladder in the back, but he told me, "Not to worry, I know what I'm doing." Then.....OOOPS!

Where's the accountability????Geeze. No Honestly, No Integrity, No Scruples, No Professionalism, and most all, they don't seem to want to be ACCOUNTABLE, for this damage to my home!

SHAME ON THEM! I only hope more people see this, then think twice about letting these people, RIP YOU OFF!
