Cherry eye is where the ligaments that hold in the tear duct on the eye are genetically weak which causes the tear duct to bulge out.The head Dr. , Dr.
Tugend performed a cherry eye surgery on both of my Female Bulldogs eyes for $700 which was unsuccessful and a second necessary cherry eye surgery was performed on the left eye which was not successful the first time for warranty only the cost of anesthesia $350. Now $1,050 invested. These surgeries were performed approximately 9 months ago. Then the right eye tear duct started to pop out immediately following the 2nd surgery.
The Dr.
who performed these Dr. Tugend informed me to give it some time and keep using the antibiotic plus steroid and it would work itself as time went by. And if it didn't he would perform another surgery at cost of anesthesia again for $350 It did not and I notified Purple paws of this information and the Dr. never responded.
I finally after time of the tear duct constantly popping out over the last 9 months when she got excited I called Purple paws a week ago and made an appointment to consul and remind Dr. Tugend of his promise for warranty and surgery to fix her right eye at a cost of only anesthesia at $350 half off total cost now $1,400. When I arrived this morning I informed the receptionist I only wanted to consul with Dr. Tugend to remind him of his commitment to me and my dog where as the receptionist told me it would be an $80 appointment.
I told her that that was unreasonable and that I should only be charged $350 per former conversation and commitment by Dr.Tugend. I left upset not getting a chance to consul with the Dr. Tugen. I believe I'm still owed this surgery for my dog and feel as though a lack of integrity has been directed towards me abd my dog.
I believe the Dr. kept putting me off so he would not have to perform the 3rd surgery. This is not right and a lack of business ethics and integrity. And the one who suffers the most is Lola my poor bulldog.
I hope Purple paws will resolve this issue and make good on their commitment as promised. They are a good pet clinic and besides these issues I'm happy with their services.
Purple paws please honor your commitment. Purple Paws has all records and invoices for proof.
