Verified Reviewer |Can't get cards back from them.
I have called, texted, report to the BBB and even paid for empty slabs (over $800) because they don't keep them in stock. Still have over 200 of my cards and every time I do talk to them their response is they are working on them and have a lame excuse as to why they are behind. I've been dealing with them for over 3 years straight up nightmare.

So first let me start out by saying the reason I went with PureGradedX was I wanted to believe someone could rise in the absolute demand of the market of 2020-**** and really start to drive more honesty and integrity from the big 3 on the market of PSA, BSG and CGC. Previous to this I was typically going CGC but then they too did nothing but raise their prices due to demand.
I wanted another 1-3 companies to really step up and start to pull business away from them with a good model, which would cause prices all around to start dropping instead of the insane 20-25+ per card prices that the others were now at. PureGradedX drew my attention with their labels, their ideas and most of all...their prices.
When I submitted my first order, it was January 6th. I noticed that their Christmas promo code was still working, so I jumped on it (lucky for me, sloppy of them). 20 days later when I got my next paycheck, I submitted a 2nd order on the 26th of January because the promo code was STILL working.
I paid for 2 orders of the 90-100 Business Day Service and even though they offer submit now and pay later, I still payed immediately up front in good faith.
Followed up with them via email on Feb 22nd because their spreadsheet of orders was not being updated on their website, verified they had received both packages.
Outstanding.
Now, let's pause there. I absolutely understand that companies get back logged, overwhelmed and more than they anticipated, having dealt with both CGC and PSA in the past, it happens. When inquiring about orders though, they are communicative and respectful, they keep their systems decently updated so you know where you stand with your order with them (not always, but most times).
Fast forward to May 6th. I inquire about the general status of the orders because it didn't seem like they were keeping up with the excel spreadsheet of the orders they maintained on their website still.
I was informed 3 days later on May 9th Both graded labels in progress. Will be ready 1 week from Friday to ship. that is the exact email I received back. I thanked them for their time.
June 1st, I send them an email inquiring about the order, because I had been told it would be ready May 13th, I gave it plenty of extra time because, well stuff happens.
Ill check. Should be close, were about 10 days out from when they print, let me check Ill email you Back in the morning with a date of ship. was their exact response.
I checked the next day, waited all morning and afternoon, and sent a follow up at 6pm. No response.
June 9th, still no response to my follow up, sent another.
June 12th, still no response to either follow up, sent another.
Keep in mind I'm being as polite as I possibly can be, just trying to maintain communication with them based on the dates that THEY gave me. They responded to my June 12th email, notifying me that one order would be shipping this week and one next week. Alright! Promise of movement!
I thanked them and went about my day.
June 16th, received a marketing email promoting a fathers day sale they were having (how lovely, overloaded and asking for more).
June 27th, no shipping notifications, no orders received, no emails, nothing. Sent a more sternly worded email saying I was getting worried, that if they had delays, I was understanding and more than willing to work with them, but I was merely going based on the dates they had given me. I received an email I understand your frustration, let me see how close we are to shipping and Ill get back to you.
July 5th, nothing was emailed to me, still no shipping notifications, no orders received, nothing. Sent a follow up email.
July 7th, received an email stating they tried calling me.
They left a VM and in the email stated he had Covid, but the first order was printed and would ship in a few days.
July 28th, I received a shipping notification on July 16th, yet no orders received, no emails, nothing (What a surprise, a pattern!). I sent an email letting them know I was getting very concerned about the stringing along I was receiving.
I was then notified via email that my first order was about to ship and they sent out a picture of one of the graded cards.
August 3rd, still nothing. I sent a fairly stern email saying I had a major problem with the way they were communicating, saying one thing and then not following up with it.
I received a call from Clayton, who was able to explain some things to me, but also notified me that while my first order was shipping, they weren't even shipping all the cards with it due to label issues. That's fine, I'm trying to be as understanding as I can here, but I'm just getting sick of being lied to.
August 24th, received ANOTHER marketing email about their end of summer sale to inviting more business to get back logged on.
However, this email also addressed a concern I'm sure a lot of their customers had - 1.) Backlog
All submissions submitted prior to May, 31 2022 will be returned in the next 35 days. So if you have a submission with us or multiple submissions, or are bulk submitter and have been receiving drips back, we will have all of your slabs ready to ship back to you by the end of September. I really appreciate everyone that has been patient with us as we have been going thru some growing pains, and want to let you know that all submissions are final graded and in designs. Thomas, Sam, and Dylan are working tirelessly to pump out the hottest designs in graded cards and you will be getting those back very soon.
If you would like a copy of hour final grades/grading notes feel free to request via email. You can also call me @ 479-422-**** between 9am and 11am CST I will be available to chat and work on getting your submission timeline for return narrowed down.
Again, their words exactly. Around September 1st, I received my first order in the mail. 26 of the 36 cards in the first order arrived.
I thought they looked wonderful and were fairly graded. That being said it was also 165 business days since I sent out the order out and 77 days after they originally told me I would get them (again, their own words).
I then sent them a follow up email (because I didn't notice their marketing email announcement, thinking it was merely a promotion to entice yet more fools in to buying their product) on 9/3 asking about the second order. Knowing full well if I didn't bug them, I wouldn't see any movement on it.
Sept 8th, still no reply, sent another follow up. They replied and said they would print the labels next week.
Oct 3rd, nothing.
Not a damn thing. Sent another follow up.
Oct 7th, no responses. Sent another follow up.
Nov 2nd, a shipping label creation notification magically appears in my email. Could be?
Possibly? Dare to hope?!
Nov 22nd, I shouldn't have dared to hope. Nothing moved on the shipping label. Sent a follow up email asking for status.
Nov 28th, no responses at all.
Nothing. Nada. Now keep in mind this is still an order from January 26th, which they said would be shipped out 35 days from August 24th. Sent another follow up email.
Finally received a response Yeah I realized there were a couple from the previous submission we still had. Ill get it then knocked out in the next couple days and send your way.
December 13th, nothing. I sent a sternly worded email letting them know it's been almost a year and I wanted movement on it.
December 20th, no responses at all still, no emails, nothing. Sent another email notifying Clayton I would be calling him the next day if I didn't hear anything.
December 21st, called Clayton's cell number, was informed he was with his wife at the grocery store, would call me back.
No worries.
December 22nd, still didn't get a call back. Called again and left a voicemail.
December 23rd, still didn't get a call or email back. Filed a BBB complaint against the company because I had no other courses of action. I notified them that if nothing came of the BBB complaint, that I would be contacting the police for stolen goods, as I was at least smart enough to take front/back pictures of every card I shipped to them.
Literally 30 minutes after I notified them I had filed a complaint with the BBB, I was told they were shipping them on that very day and they sent me pictures of the shipping label via email and via text message.
After receiving the text message, I notified them I was still needing the other 10 cards from my initial order.
Back and forth happened, finally movement on the order and I received all the cards (after they misplaced one of them from the first order) today on December 29th. 231 business days (excluding holidays and weekends) after the initial order placement, 151 business days after they said I would have it.
I am removing the BBB complaint against them, but I feel this story needs to be told.
Pro's of this company Wicked looking labels, fair grading (for the most part) and solid price structure.
Con's of this company COMMUNICATION. Ethics. Integrity.
Honesty.
I wash my hands of this whole situation and leave this review for you to judge if you wish to do business with Pure Graded X in the future. If you do, godspeed.
- Fair prices
- Fair grading
- Good labels
- Communication ethics integrity honesty
Preferred solution: To be left alone by them and never heard from them again.

Verified ReviewerBad Business
Sent over 40 cards to be graded. Not a single order has met the advertised turnaround, when inquired about orders being return was told soon And on multiple occasions told this week only to have cards not shipped back.
The extremely late orders I have received have been riddle with errors. When negative feedback was posted to social media the owner chose to hide and delete the comments in order to dupe other customers and get mad at me for telling the truth instead of owning up and issuing a public apology.
If you cannot provide the service in the timeframe offered, do not offer it. Be honest and transparent instead of a hiding the negatives and acting like a scammy cash grab.
- Bad business poor quality pyramid scheme
Preferred solution: Return my cards and Issue a public apology to all your customers with overdue orders and stop taking new orders until your backlog is meet.
User's recommendation: STAY AWAY
Still have my cards after 6 months..this Carsin clown is a crook..do not ever uss
Sent in cards..6 months ago .I have called over and over..still not delivered..company is garbage..!aaaaa!aaaaa
Vintage cards
I've submitted cards to 5 different grading companies & Pure Graded X was the only 1 that consistently got the grade right & made it affordable at the same time. Give them a chance their slabs are super clean in addition to the vibrant colors displayed in the label.

You wrote a novel. Yikes!
I just provided the explicit details of the interactions I had with them so people can see the patterns themselves before they throw money at a company. If people don't want to read it, the Pro's/Con's are right at the bottom and easy to scroll to and all the above provides validation for the Con's.
Nobody is ever going to read all of that. Remember : KISS (keep it short stupid) (keep it simple silly) etc.
That's on them then. I read every review of theirs I could find prior to submitting to them because I like knowing where my money is going. It wasn't until after my cards were received by them that the reviews really started flowing about them and some of them were lengthy like mine.
We’ll look at that I just read all of it, and appreciated it
