Passed the PreTrip at 100%, Passed Most of the course before failing for stepping off the coach without a 3 point stance

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

AVOID PRO SAFE / C1 Robert is a prejudice *** Midway through my assessment his attitude just shifted and he became very condescending out of nowhere . The entire time Im, Yes Sir , No Sir . In my training class I was the number 2 seed in a class of 12, based on driving skills and classroom testing. I passed the pretrip with perfect precision , and only struggled with parallel parking due to the company I worked for had us training on much bigger lanes than what we were tested on . Nevertheless in training I never had to step off to check where I was in parallel parking . Id do it in one swipe and be done. On this course I had to pull up and step out twice to check and see How Im doing. These are the first two times Ive ever had to do a pull up and a step-out-and check .and I was failed for not having a 3 point stance while stepping off the coach ..a 29 year old personal trainer (on the side), who can box jump 52 inches and deadlift over 500 lbs failed because of how he stepped off the *** coach. The guy who ran a perfect pretrip who obviously knows his *** failed because of not holding onto the rails stepping off the coach the guy who was one of the top in his class is now behind several people who cant even remotely drive as well . Because I stepped off the coach without holding the rails . Literally people who are less safe drivers have their CDL due to the road instructors having leniency. Literally one person forgot to put on their seatbelt during a portion of the test but passed . Multiple people said they just hopped on and off the coach without the same instructor even noticing they didnt use the three point stance because he wasnt even paying attention.

A completely different stranger warned me that Pro Safe aka C1 not only had issues with an overwhelming amount of Black applicants being failed over petty *** while all white ones of the same class were passed , but also theyll fail you so that you can test twice so that they get more money out of you.

When speaking to the director Troy , he was a decent human but couldnt do much for me. I just watched him get yelled at because he wasnt trying to refund someones money who showed up without his permit to test. They told this gentlemen hed have to forfeit his $250 , and pay another $250 to reschedule . This is before him saying , we dont scam people out of their money because we dont need the money that bad. We can have someone fill these spots in 5 mins, yet I just watched him argue back and forth and explain to a driver with over 20 years of experience, of how the company loses money when they provide refunds ( for services not even rendered ). The guy acted a fool and ended up getting his money back . I spoke like a reasonable gentlemen and got nothing for keeping my cool in an obvious situation of pure *** Perhaps I should have blown my top and cussed everybody out .

Nevertheless AVOID Pro Safe, especially if youre a person of color. Nothing but a bunch of prejudice white trash running that whole operation. The only diversity is the receptionist . Literally, the person who doesnt decide the fate of applicants .everyone else is all white makes.all white male road instructors all white male administrators basically in beach grove . A place known for racism and prejudice.

ProSafe WILL Ruin your life.....

They don't care about nothing but money, they don't care what you have going on, no matter if you have to feed your family, it doesn't matter to them. They should close this place down, it's nothing but a big scam...

It don't matter how detailed you are, they will fail you. It's all about money...I hate this place. They are so rude, and will treat you like *** Try to make you feel like you messed up.

But in reality they just want your money, they smile in your face, tell you, that your doing great, then fail you.. Damn thiefs..

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Two tests, two fails. During the first test (airbrake test) I did the governor cut out in the wrong order and while stating that I would bring the pressure in the tank up to 120-140 at which point the governor would kick out, the proctor informed me "it's just 120, 120 is fine, you don't need to say 120 to 140 pounds".

Six days later, same place, same part of test. I state I'll build pressure back up to 120 where the governor should kick out and the proctor fails me. It is at this point I'm completely ticked off. I state to the proctor that I said 120 to 140 last week and that the previous proctor said 120 was all I needed to say.

he proceeded to quote me the section/page jargon from the Indiana BMV book (which by the way is going on 3 years out of revision and doesn't include the august 2015 change to airbrake check step order). At this point, the proctor asks me who it was that told me that, I told him the description of the proctor from the previous test. He said he would have to talk to his boss, who isn't there today. I left pissed and told him not to worry about it, that it wouldn't do any good.

These people are here for one thing, to make money. Unless you are 100% spot on in wording, order, and mannerisms and are able to combat the complete inconsistencies of one proctor to the next on how the evaluate you, stay away. If you want to spend 175.00 a trip, by all means have at it.

The state of Indiana BMV should be ashamed of them selves for outsourcing this task to a private company whos only care is the bottom line. the above has most likely cost me my job.

Preferred solution: Better trained proctors, who are consistent in their evaluation. Less focus on the "is this your first test", that question should NEVER be asked, and immediately leads the test taker to believe that you will fail them.

Prosafe Cdl - Cdl Exam Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Well, I failed because I was not prepared proper the test. After I failed, I was devistaed.

However the examiner showed complete professionalism and explained what I did wrong, then gave me the choice and asked me if i wanted him to go through it so the next test I will be more prepared. Not a lot of places will be this nice. They could have just said you failed, come again. Instead the examiner walked me through it all from beginning to end of the Pretrip inspection.

Although I failed, and spent a lot of money to fail, I feel I was given adequate professional service when they helped me in walking me through a Pretrip. Yes I'm out $175 for the test but I feel I got my money's worth back in training. I went back again the second time, did exactly what I was shown and passed that part. I failed the backing the second try.

That's on me. I couldn't parallel park within the points allowed. Again, the examiner, a different one from the first test, showed me how to correct my issue. I came back a third time, passed with flying colors.

Not perfect, had some "bad habits" but was sufficient enough to make it through the minimal requirements to get my CDL. This is how business is to be done! I'll be telling everyone Whos taking a CDL test to go to ProSafe. They helped me out more than they had or needed to.

That means a lot to a broke man who had to borrow money for the 2nd and 3rd test.

I have since paid back those people and have had an excellent driving career so far. Thank you for taking pride in your jobs and doing what's right to help the people who aren't prepared properly for this hard test.

I really cannot say anything bad about the valpo location. Yes i failed my first attempt but i can honestly say it was my fault(kinda).

I studied the wrong information. The bmv has not updated the air brakes and i studied out of date information. the guy i had as an examiner came of really standoffish at first but over time he really lightened up and made the test easier for me to remember next go around.

Im going back Saturday and i know i have all my info and skills correct so if i fail again i will let everyone know. Hopefully the first time was just a fluke and not a for shadow of the future

Your first test they will fail you!!! Its they're game not yours. They question you on if you ever read the CDL handbook and know every number you never need to remember. The 3 step air brake check became a 4 step break check.Failed me on that i gave him the right numbers but he said i was wrong..Constantly created a state of doubt. My guy was a *** i knew was gonna fail at the beginning cause of his attitude.I don't recommend this outfit unless your one of his buddies or went to their school.I've been driving for 15 years lost my Cdl because a Dr.screwed up my MED not because of my driving record..Ill drive to another county to retest not these broke *** jerks.

They are greedy, they are definitely not broke. They are owned by Cummins. Cummins owns Driver Solutions, C1 and Unsafe.

I had the same experience..they "will" fail u the 1st time, it's almost as if they have a certain quota to fill!..instructors r straight *** and extremely petty with the pretrip parts!.I got passed the pretrip with 1 instructor and failed the air brake not knowing that the psi's had changed, and it was frm the manual I received frm them! Took the test again and this time failed the pretrip and did nothing diff than with the 1st instructor, such ***!..wnt be going back!

Prosafe is a rip off

its to long of a story to tell..but they are riping people off....for a 175 dollars you should get 2 shots at the test.i have 20 years over the road and cant get pass the pre trip inspection.they have got me for 875.00 dollars on not getting out of the truck rite not say the part is secure, not checking the tractor frame in 3 places for illegal welds, not checking the exhaust in 3 places...the cdl test book scoring standard says all components are securely mounted..no cracks, holes,or leaks..thats just one of the ways they do..and who do you complain to.

Schneider CDL testing site in Indianapolis is a much better choice. They actually follow federal guidelines instead of making up their own rules.

Guest

O, BTW, I am not an examiner, I'm someone who actually tested at 3 different test sites in the state, have failed it 5 times. I just simply know it's not their fault.

I was not trained properly and am able to be a man about it. I own up to my mistakes, do you?

I want to know what the outcome would have been if I would have ran over the car when old sleepy from prosafe told me to run over the car, if I would have allowed him to control me to the point where I would have ran over the car and killed somebody? The false encroachments that he made up the next day should have never taken place.

I knew that place was going to screw something up again the next day I did not even want to test it unsafe again after I was told to run over the car I told C1 Administration that I needed to go to a different testing site that prosafe or AKA Pro dangerous had a very incompetent Examiner the guy fell asleep as soon as the tractor and trailer got on the interstate if I wouldn't have woke him up everything would have been alright when I was failed on the parallel parking the next day. It was funny I did not do as good of a job of parallel parking the day before and they passed me flying colors on it the next day I was even better and he decided to fail me on it. I had great instructors at c 1 like William Purvis, Keith the lead instructor and Gary also Joe beer also did a good job too on training me on how to back a semi tractor and trailer.

The only instructor there that was incompetent was Kenneth Earl. as I say again everything with have went along great if I wouldn't have woke up old sleepy.

Guest

My instructor was nothing but polite and helpful, I did fail but it was of my own demise.

Guest

Funny how you say they don't care about you losing your job! Not a mention about how it would affect the examiner's job/life if he let you pass on something he isn't by law allowed to do. Na, screw the examiner right? I know how you all feel, you all think this is a game don't you! You people think that examiners should just hand you out a CDL cause you are there and paying money! BS, EARN IT! I'll bet none of you on here even thought about what would happen to the examiner if he were to just let you "HAVE" your CDL just because your paying money to take the test. Not one thought about, I wonder if he passes me and shouldn't, would he get in trouble? Na, Federal laws prohibit them from doing wrong! BS, if they were to just hand you a license, they now have violated not only a state law, but a federal law. THAT'S PRISON TIME BUDDY! NO OFFENSE, BUT YOU AREN'T WORTH TIME IN PRISON TO BE SOMEONES LOVE SLAVE. YES THAT'S RIGHT!!! They are bound by a Federal law to conduct those tests properly.

You all get pissed at people for doing their jobs correctly. Funny how not one person on here said,"THEY" failed their test. It's all about HE/SHE failed me because etc etc etc. Listen up to all you dumb-*** out there. EXAMINERS DON'T FAIL YOU! You fail the test yourself! They aren't the ones taking the test. You are, if you don't give the right info, you don't pass. SIMPLE AS THAT! Here's a perfect example. You work in a store, you see someone stealing something from the store. Do you say something to security or just let it go and say o well, aint my money! Or, let's say your at home, you hear a noise, and go to look out the window to find someone stealing your nice new car! Do you just sit back and say f it and let them steal it? NO, you grab your bat, gun and go after the dumb *** for trying to do wrong or harm! Instead of getting pissy and pissed about what you feel they wronged you for, get pissed and pissy at yourself for not doing what is MINIMALLY required by federal law. This isn't rocket science, we aren't NASA. We aren't building space shuttles here! Just do the simple task at hand and get your CDL. Own up to your own faults and learn from them. Don't blame the next man just because it's easier. Geez grow the *** up!

There are plenty of other test sites in the state, go to another one and do the exact same thing you failed yourself on at ProSafe CDL and I'll bet, if that next examiner is doing his job right, you fail again, and again, and again until you do it properly. You all say it's all about making money! What you *** fail to understand is that none of these examiners in this state want to see you more than once! They put their lives at risk for you *** each and every time they step out to conduct a test. DO you give it any thought about that? NOPE! Just the thought and *** about how they stole your money. No one stole your money, you failed to properly conduct the CDL test at a MINIMUM standard! How do you think that examiner feels riding along side someone after being with them for not more than 20-30 min tops, in a moving 30-40 ton vehicle on the road with no control what so ever? You people are lucky that they have the balls to do what needs to be done and make those tough calls. You think they want to go through it with you again and again? GOOD LORD NO! It's bad enough for them to have to do it one time, let alone 3 times or more. Just do the, again "MINIMUM" standards, and get it done right the first time, go get your CDL, get a driving job, and be safe. OR STAY THE *** OFF THE ROADS! Stop complaining and start owning up to your own mistakes.

EXAMINERS DONT MAKE THE RULES, WE FOLLOW THEM!

Oh the state minimum huh? Well maybe if they didn't put *** on the test that we'll never use like parallel parking and a couple other stupid things that don't pertain to what we do maybe we could pass a little easier and remember this it's easier for you to sit in the passenger seat and write fail than it is for us to be all nervous about *** up and trying to be all perfect i mean *** ridiculous.

You seem to misunderstand. I didnt fail the test but there are guys who do the same exact thing with one examiner and fail and repeat it with a different examiner and pass.

Same lingo same motions etc.

Now how is that the test taker fault ?? Even school instructors say this has been a problem in Indiana for years...

You dumb lying grandfathered in chauffeur's licensed idiots don't follow a damn rule you just make up rules like being able to fall asleep I'm sure you're going to try to say that is also in the CDL examiner rule book. Seriously if I hadn't woke up Rip Van Winkle he would have never woken up. I have kept a lot of people away from C1 and unsafe.

reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1275803

If I would have known that old sleepy would have gone berserk after I woke him up I would have just pulled the semi over in front of the car hauler that the state trooper had pulled over while old sleepy with still sleep in the passenger seat. That way old sleepy could have been fired on the spot it would have been between old sleepy and the Indiana State Trooper.

Therefore old sleepy would have had to have owned up to his own mistake. He could have dealt with the embarrassment of losing his job, that he incompetent of keeping. I have two other eyewitnesses of old sleepy going asleep during CDL testing. I wish million times over and over again I would have just turned in the CDL examiner after he fell asleep if I would have known that he was going to act so immature and be a such a a piece of *** hopefully then the whole prosafe CDL scam would have been exposed and the site would have been put out of business along with C1.

I tried to do prosafe a favor and they stole my money. It's funny how you use the word they got the balls maybe to lie that's about it and you don't have the balls to say Who You Are.

I will take a lie detector test anywhere you want. Just tell me who you are and I will go to any Police Department to take a lie detector test.

Guest

Absolutely correct, all of u!, this place is such a ripoff and I just recently filed a complaint!..extremely tedious when it comes to the pretrip and they WILL fail u the 1st time, and maybe the 2nd and 3rd!.and they always seem to have attitudes, *** I'm paying "your" salary who the *** r u yelling at!.No patience whatsoever!..it's unfortunate bcuz there's not a whole lot of sites in Indy, but I'll NEVER go back there!
