Beware of over the top advertising

I was desperately in search of a way to make money while living on the road. I stumbled across an ad on Pinterest that was about learning to proofread online. I knew I could learn to proofread. But the implication of the ad was that I could do it anywhere and that I had nothing to lose. That it would pay off in no time. I read and read and it seemed like a doable thing. Unfortunately, once I paid the nearly $500 and start working through the training program I saw that not only was it not going to pay off very quickly for a number of reasons, but probably not until many months down the road. I realized that I absolutely could NOT proofreadanywhere because internet access and consistency is still very hard to find in the places I could afford to stay in the western part of the United States. Caitlin, who owns proofreadanywhere.com says I should have read when I signed up that she issues NO refunds for any reason whatsoever. I looked and looked for a statement like that before I signed up. I believe the link where I signed up was long before her statement about no refunds. So even though it is a legit training course, the over-the-top advertising verges on false advertising. I mostly want to warm people about websites like this. I am out $500 for nothing when I am desperate to make money and Caitlin cares not one jot about other people's circumstances. This may be a principle of capitalism, but it is also why this country is failing its citizens. It does not follow the golden rule.
