PROMISELAND CLEANING SERVICE - Conned by unprofessional cleaning service

I had the same experience as the other customer who did a review on the same agency. I was lucky enough to stop at the second helper within 1 week. The man (Danny) I spoke to seemed very friendly and polite hence I agreed to use the first maid. After the cleaning the cleaner (Auntie Veron) asked met pay her $180 ($80 / 4 hours and $100-agency fee). As I didn't expect to pay her the cash I told the agent to invoice me. Lucky I did that so I have a record of it. When I came home to check around the house, I realised that the cleaner did a lousy job. - Dusting only 50% of the tops and did not lift up/remove the small items when doing so - Toilets were left with unwashed detergent. I happened to sit on the toilet seat with Jif still on and not washed off. - Kitchen tops I had to clean it all over again after her as she didn't even remove the stove racks before cleaning the stove. Don't know how she cleaned by just dabbing - Mop was left to dry on top of my toilet paper so it ended up soaking my toilet roll with mopped dripping - After cleaning washroom I could see lots of hair still stuck in the drain without removing it. - Kids toilet, she just mopped and didn't bother to scrub even tough she complaint at the beginning it was dirty. Excuse given was she couldn't find the scrub for that toilet I texted the agent with all the photo proofs but he didn't reply. Subsequently I received a call from the cleaner trying to defend herself, obviously the agent told her to call me and at the same time ask me to quickly pay up. After she turned aggressive on me I just put down the phone and called the agent and told him for giving my phone number to the cleaner without my consent and for not managing the cleaners appropriately and tactfully. I was quite reluctant to pay $100 agency fee but later he said he will help me to find a good one for next week. The time came when a Thai girl (well dressed and bespectacle) came. Before she started I wanted to tell her what I needed her to do and told her to wash her hands (with soap) before clearing the utensils and cleaned dishes from the dish rack, as I told her to start from the kitchen. She answered arrogantly by telling me just tell her what's needed and she will do it the way she wanted. I was shocked by the attitude. Since we started having this disagreement and so she left without even starting on the job. After I called the agent to tell him ('well spoken' guy), without even finding out the problem from the cleaner, he accused me of being difficult and my tone should be polite and not instructional type. I told him that I will no longer needed their service as the trust is breached and lost my confidence in his 6-month replacement service. I asked for the refund of $100 agency fee. But he refused. I then brought this to CASE. after 1 day, the agent called me to negotiate. I refused to negotiate and either he pay the refund in FULL or we'll bring this further. Long story short, he agreed to pay in full but this was not without another ding-dong on the phone. My advice to all consumers would be to always keep a record of all documents on transactions and use CASE to help protect our rights as consumers. I understand that if this company gets too many complaints from consumers CASE will take more serious actions against them. Hope this helps.

Promiseland Cleaning Services Customer Care Review

The agent rips a hefty sum of money ranging from $70 to $100 each time, at least half the amount you pay them. Only half goes to people who actually do the work. Agent is also extremely impolite and religiously offensive towards a relative of mine who happened to be an employee. My relative is older than him, so manners wise, he needs some.

Promiseland Cleaning Services

This company is simply a middleman to match you with Cleaners who approach them for part time cleaning jobs. They do not train the Cleaners prior and I've learnt this through having 3 Cleaners come 3 consecutive weeks. Your agent fee will be collected on the 1st day. Customer service after is extremely poor. The well spoken man over the phone interrupted me constantly and even insinuated that the changes in Cleaners could have been because I was a difficult customer. That said, the last one they sent me was an Indian lady. We are not discriminating when it comes to race but at least a heads up would have been good. We will be keeping this one as she is the most consistent of the 3. And she confirmed that there was no training whatsoever provided. She herself is required to pay the agent fees for linking her with any jobs. Don't go with this company because you're better off looking for freelancers yourself and saving that lot of agent fee.

Promiseland cleaning services

Sales people promised trained cleaners who know how to clean and who would take a thorough top to bottom approach. Sounds great, right? It is evident based on the service provided, that this was NOT true. Half of the people sent didn't appear to know what they were doing and couldn't "see" the dust or grime. Unless specifically told to do so, these folks never touched a baseboard, ceiling fan, or went after cobwebs that built up week after week. The cleaner they use on hardwood floors leave the floor sticky, and the floors would need to be re-mopped after they left. Dusting was done with a duster that moved the dust around the room, but never actually removed the dust. They dusted around stuff that was within reach. They don't move anything or attempt to clean under anything. Avoid them if possible.
