Horrible customer service

This review details my interactions with Prominent Realty, specifically with Lisa Tufano. Throughout my time, Lisa consistently exhibited discourteous and hypocritical behavior, frequently adopting a condescending demeanor and embodying characteristics associated with a 'Karen.' Despite her initial portrayal as approachable and encouragement to reach out with any concerns, the reality turned out to be quite different.

When approached for weekend rent inspections, I promptly responded via text using the work number provided in all Lisa Tufano's emails.

However, on the subsequent Monday morning, I received reprimands for my prompt response, with Lisa Tufano only later clarifying the appropriate contact person.

Upon moving in, my perception of the property's condition diverged significantly from reality. The owner opted for quick fixes, utilizing inexpensive replacements to create a facade of move-in readiness. Over my three-year stay, persistent water shortages disrupted the neighborhood's supply randomly from 8 am to 2 pm. The restored water often carried thick sediment, prompting the need for me to purchase filters.

During winter, the property's heater malfunctioned twice, leaving me dependent on space heaters and blankets until the aging unit was eventually replaced.

In the summer, enduring sweltering heat became a necessity due to a breakdown in the AC unit, awaiting the installation of a new one. Lisa Tufano even attributed blame to me for breaking a 20-year-old microwave, a claim refuted by the handyman who acknowledged its irreparable state due to age.

Despite the lack of additional amenities, my rent increased annually by at least $100, purportedly justified by referencing high-priced comparables due to the COVID surge. The neighborhood presented its own set of challenges, with tents and makeshift shelters for individuals with substance abuse issues across the street in a dirt lot.

Lisa Tufano failed to provide the rental agreement on time twice. When I chose not to renew due to another rent increase, I received threats of losing my entire deposit due to delayed move-out caused by her negligence.

Despite explaining my reasons for leaving, Lisa Tufano accused me of plotting to move all along, disregarding her own negligence.

The final straw was Lisa Tufano attempting to withhold my $1250 deposit for paint touch-ups without providing receipts. Upon requesting evidence, she responded with hostility, refusing to compromise. When I pursued the matter further, she absurdly labeled my advocacy for tenant rights through email as harassment.

I strongly caution prospective tenants to scrutinize their rental agreements with Prominent Realty and maintain thorough records of move-in and move-out conditions. My experience with Lisa Tufano and Prominent Realty was tainted by bullying and manipulation.
