A/C failed

I have had my minivan for 13 years. I am not complaining about the van. You don't have a site I can find to answer a few simple questions, My A/C does not cool when the outside air is above 95. I took it to a shop I always go to. They put in a new evaporator expansion valve-R&R Then refilled it with global coolant and freon. I didn't think they used freon when the car was manufactured. Do you have any suggestions to a fix. That one didn't work. I won't go to the dealer in town, it took 7 trips and $1500 for them to fix my sliding door.

Sounds crazy, but if you tie a pork chop to the front of the condenser, it will increase the A/C performance by 75%. Depending on your location, it should last about two weeks until it's nothing but bones....after that just attach a new pork chop.

The composition of the meat helps the R134a refrigerant release more from within the condenser.
