RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I called to submit a payment but because I wouldn't set up a payment plan and I paused when she kept asking what day next month to set up a arrangement.they would not let me pay and stated they would not take credit card payments cause she felt like the money would not be on there.hung up on me twice and would not give me the name of her supervisor nor would she transfer me.VERY VERY RUDE.I'm trying to pay as I can and their making it difficult for me.trying to figure out next steps.since I keep getting transferred to same supervisor

NEVER - NEVER - NEVER - NEVER deal with the collection agency! If you can only make small monthly payments, then send those payments direct to your creditor.

Even if that creditor wont setup a payment plan for you, do it anyway. If the creditor tells you that you have to deal with the collection agency, refuse.

Never deal with the collection agency, deal direct to your creditor, whether they want you to or not. Block the collection agencies number.

Undocumented Collection Practices

Unfortunately ProCollect reports to the credit bureaus before notifying you of any reported debts. Additionally, the company they represent never notified me of said debt. When attempting to speak with Mr. Johnson on one occasion he became belligerent and verbally abusive. His language included derogatory speech and slanderous words. It is apparent their practice and training is to be as unprofessional as possible and to make sure they have as little documentation as possible. Their hope (and claim to fame) is to bully people into paying unverified debts. They also have no concept of time as they will call as late as or as early as they desire. I have received calls from this company as late as 8:59 PM. There is no point in requesting a manager or anything in writing as they are unable to accommodate these requests. If I were ranking rudeness and stupidity (*** being the unwillingness to do better) on the Richter scale they would certainly be a magnitude 8 or greater!

Rude, degrading, made threats, refused opportunity to speak to supervisor

Spoke with Rep Smith ext 155 several times because the debt is incorrect. Refuses to contact the original lender. Despite a certified letter, to stop calling client Pro-collect refuses to stop harassing and threatening calls. The individual that answered the phone at Pro-collect asked for my phone number and I said I was not sure what number they called. She replied, "You don't know your own number" Ms Smith refused me the right to speak to a supervisor. They have POOR communication with clients and anyone that entrust them to collect a debt is only enraging customers further. Upon learning that they do not charge fees to Companies upfront, but are paid on a contingent basis I understand their STRESS!

Pro Collect Violated Rights

Pro Collect agency violated my rights and my son. He is out of the country and was reported to the collection agency for a fraudulent charge by a landlord. I called for my son, the company took my credit card, charge it and refused to talk to me further when I requested a receipt. My son attempted to call them and he was put on hold and hung up on. This company violates rights all the way through to the privacy act, but they will take money from anyone. This company obviously does not respect or know the rights of the consumer. Watch out for them they can ruin your credit in a heart beat.

This company is the devil, and you better beware. I never heard of anything so deceitful. This companies are supposed to help you get things straighten , but get joy of out purposly deceiving you.
