Verified Reviewer |Horrible Service !
The Crew in California was actually quite good, professional, and all in all did a fairly good job loading the truck and packing up our furniture. No complaint.
They picked up our belongings on 4/12/24.
When the truck arrived in Texas, well that is a whole different story. HORRIBLE service to say the least for 10K paid all in advance. The truck arrived in Austin on 4/21/24 at 1:30pm.
The contract indicated that we would have 4 movers, and we were sent only three. The 3 movers arrived at 1:30 pm and were gone by 4:30 pm.
They DID NOT ASSEMBLE our furniture, that in Irvine was dismantled. They left most everything delivered to Texas in the garage or in the living room area. Furthermore, they were in a hurry to leave and to get elsewhere.
One of the three movers that was sent (he said he was sent from "Facebook Marketplace") was definitely NOT a professional, and had some type of issue with our nationality.
This same employee was verbally abusive and continuously made Racial Slurs to me, and my father. He threw our boxes and furniture up the stairs with absolutely no care.
This employee also assaulted me physically by throwing small pieces of broken furniture at me.
We immediately called the Austin Police Department police and filed a Police Report for this abuse and for racial discrimination.
We felt threatened by this employee as we have a very small child and did not know if this person was under some type of substance, if he was armed, or if he could return at a later date and injure my family in any way.
Nothing was put together by the movers, (beds and bedroom sets, bedroom wardrobe, living room furniture, etc. Items such as our television was broken, furniture in my baby's room purposely broken by the employee listed above, boxes were thrown up the stairs as if it were garbage, while at least another 32 boxes are still left sitting in my garage and need to be taken upstairs.
We had to mount all of our furniture ourselves and carry them piece by piece upstairs when we hired PRESTO LOGISTICS to do this job.
We contacted PRESTO LOGISTICS by phone and were promised that our TV would be replaced, but as of now NO TV and NO reply to our written formal complaint about their employee's behavior.
I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a moving company as PRESTO LOGISTICS employs people (at least at destination; from our first-hand experience) that are not professionals. PRESTO LOGISTICS does not take responsibility for their staff performance, the delivery of furniture in the same condition given to them, nor do they render services promised.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Presto Logistics, a moving company in CA, ripped us off financially, were rude, had terrible customer service, broke the contact, and shattered $500+ worth of treasured belongings.
We found out about this company by them calling us after we filled out a form online to find us a mover in the area. They asked us how many boxes we had so they could give us an estimate.
The price they gave sounded fairly given so we decided to make a contract with them. When they arrived the estimate changed drastically, and the actual price was $1000 more dollars than what was previously said. The reason was the extra fees like every ten stair steps they took cost $75 more dollars and that the boxes were bigger and heavier than usual. We had no other choice because it was moving day so after some negotiation we agreed.
They also asked us to pay 50% (which was our original price) for security. When we got to Florida, we were not completely settled due to a change in plans with our apartment booking not having a place for us. We were living in a hotel when they called us to say they were ready so we asked if they could delay the delivery until we found a place, they agreed. We called when we found one and asked if they could deliver tomorrow, again, they agreed.
But, the next day it was a no call no show, so (we) called (them) after some time and they told us their truck broke down. They said they would call us to update us when they would have it fixed. They never called once, and it had been a week and a half, (which in the contract if there was a delay the maximum amount of days of waiting would be a week) so (we) called several times to check up on them. Every time, they would talk as if we were nagging at them and rudely state that it wan't fixed and we would just have to wait.
Finally after sleeping on the floor for two weeks they called us and said they would deliver tomorrow. Again it was a no call no show, so (we) called (them) and they said that there was a mistake and they would deliver it tomorrow. They arrived at 5:00 p.m. and unloaded our stuff very roughly even though most were labeled "glass" or "fragile" and even some of the boxed were crushed beforehand.
As we unpacked, some there was at least one broken object in each box. Some glass statues had been in the family for 38+ years and passed down between family members and others were brand new plates bought just before the move.
In total they broke $500+ worth of stuff. We put this notification here so others will not be tricked by this scandalous company and find a proper moving company; one that will not give an estimate over the phone but (come) to the actual place to give an estimate, break the contract, have rude behavior, and destroy precious items to where it is impossible to repair them.
