Beautiful cabinets

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We installed Prestige cabinets, Rutland style, in 1998 and they look as beautiful today as the day they were installed. Only thing needed to be done was a cleaning with orange oil every 6 months.

The fit and finish of the cabinets was top quality. If you buy at a big box store then you are getting a lower end product probably not made by this USA Prestige company.

It is like everything - you get what you pay for. I would love to do the kitchen in my new home with this same style cabinet but they no longer make the Rutland style.

Prestige Cabinets Inc.

Consumers need to remember when reading these complaints that there are many different Prestige Cabinet companies. There was a Prestige Cabinets in Kansas that sold cabinets nation wide in the homecenters that has now gone out of business.

Of course like the Asian market cabinets, they used the cheapest materials possible, and offered a low quality cabinet. This is the company everyone is complaining about. Not the Prestige Cabinets located in Florida that has been in business since 1999, and is still producing high quality cabinets. Prestige Cabinets Inc.

cabinets are only sold in Florida. Check your facts friends.

Please don't confuse the two companies. Thank-you

Pool quality! Not high end cabinets that the cabinet company showed us, very inconsistent finish

Would NEVER reccomend to someone...finish is horribly inconsistent. Huge mistake on our part.

Used throughout home, only bad decision we made when building our new home...live and learn. What you see in a showroom finish is NOT what they ship to you. Several tries later, it was well over a year before we had all issues resolved. Never actually fully resolved, we just got really tired of trying to correct thier errors and having them make it right.

Quite simply, not worth the money, time or effort required to get a desirable finished product. Worried at this point about longevity and when we will have to spend the money to replace all.

Prestige Cabinets

We purchased our kitchen cabinets through Menards with a company called Prestige. We were told by Menards staff Prestige sells higher quality cabinets then their other vendors. We have had nothing but disaster after disaster.... We received our cabinets and found several doors and cabinets scratched, chipped and poorly put together. We called and had them replaced on a "rush order". After 5 weeks of waiting we received the replaced cabinets and doors. One of the cabinets had an obvious crack along the back. We tried calling Prestige direct and they told us "they could not talk to us directly but would have to go through the vendor". After another 5 weeks we received our last and final cabinet. At least we thought it was the last cabinet... turns out it was the wrong style and we are currently in our 3rd set of 5 weeks" waiting to complete our kitchen.

Prestige preaches on quality and workmanship. In our opinion you will find higher quality cabinets from the "put-it-together-yourself" particleboard cabinets at Target or Walmart.

We purchased our PRESTIGE cabinets in March 2009 from Cabella Cabinetry in Pace Florida. After 8 months still waiting on missing doors, and glass.

Poor quality and poor customer service

I ordered Prestige kitchen cabinets through a local store. In August the cabinets were delivered.

The cabinets would poor, the stain was smeared as if a child was fingerprinting, glue was dripped, no clear finish, and the dovetail ends were not even. The maple doors had knots and one door actually had *** in it. The local store tried to get me to install the cabinet, finally the local representative from Prestige came to my house and told me the holes were character. I ordered clear maple-not rustic.

After calling RSI the company that owned Prestige they agreed to replace the cabinets.

The next shipment was the wrong cabinets. The next shipment was taken back since the local store had not paid for the 2nd cabinets being delivered. The beginning of February the cabinets were shipped again-this time a cabinet is missing.

It is now 5 months later and I still don't have my kitchen. No one at Prestige will talk to me. No apologies-nothing. Run do not order anything from this company.

I pray the next cabinets will be decent-$16,000 dollars and no kitchen.

Makes me sooo sad to read this. Built my house is 1988, have the most beautiful Rutland cabinets built by then Prestige of Kansas and to date have had not one single issue.

They have seen a family raised with all their friends to boot and they look like they did new.

Now, hubby and I are downsizing and wanted to purchase more beautiful and quality cabinets...guess I will have to go elsewhere... :( When will this country learn, worshipping the "Green Back" is the wrong God!!!

I worked at prestige for 4 years in kansas, when I started there, it was a locally owned cabient shop that produced a Upper middle end product.

about 2 years after I started working there RSI holding bought us due to the rapid growth we were getting, our name was good then, and our product was great.

Once they bought us they started sending us instructions, basicly, they wanted nothing but speed, we went from making 400 cabients a day with 500 employees, to making 900 cabients a day with 250.

they bought us to run us into the ground, and make a quick buck.

Prestige after being bought was a horriable company and it was RSI's fault.

Prestige was a wholly owned subsidiary of RSI Home Products out of Anaheim California.

The company took the assets of Prestige and a such are liable for any debt of Prestige ie Warranty Claims.

Mary its been a awhile (March) since you wrote here but Prestige didn't make the waste baskets you should try Rev A Shelf they make what you are looking for, hope I am not to late.

I spent $28,000 on Prestige cabinets in July of '07. After 17 (no kidding!) returns - and continual receipts of defective doors - I finally paid to have the doors refinished by a local cabinetmaker.

The kitchen remodel project was supposed to take 6 weeks and ultimately took 7 months. My dealer was no help whatsoever - I was the one that arranged for a Prestige rep to come to my house (X2!) and it was I who spoke with the VP of Quality regarding their poor product.

It didn't do me one iota of good. It makes me sad how many cherry trees were destroyed in this (***) process and it makes me mad that their quality issues are continuing 3 years later!

We had prestige cabinets installed and within a few months a door warped so horribly that the center panel split and pulled out. The dealer told us that nothing could be done because they are out of business and not honoring warranty work. What can I do???

I agree with everyone here, i am a former employee of "Prestige". The reason everybodys cabinets are *** quality because they are all about pushing work through early to make the suits happy, and doing so creates *** cabinets to their customers.

I advise all who read this before you go out and get something else you need for your house look online first check reviews. Sorry to say you all dug these holes yourselves.

Prestige cabinets is no longer the original company. Since it was sold, you would do better to have your local highschool shop class build your cabinets.

Lifetime hinge replacement is a lie. After 6 months they sent me replacements that did not fit, they said the company no longer makes the hinges that are on my cabinets.

The hinges they sent would have to have new holes drilled in the cabinets, leaving the old holes visible. I was able to purchase replacement hinges $35.00 on line that are the same.

We have these cabinets installed in our new house and we didn't have as much problems as others but I need to contact them or someone to get a garbage can that fits in the island. We have tried to buy some on our own but nothing fits right. Can someone provide a number to the parent company who may help us?

Thanks.
