Beware fraud
- - Lifetime warranty not honored; fees.
- - Spent over $10,000 on failing windows.
- - Three windows can't open; pin broke.
- - They want $125 to come out, $65/hour.
supposed to be lifetime warranty not a year. spent over $10,000 on junk.
we just had new siding put on our house two of the windows almost fell out. they only had 2 screws holding them in. Contractor was appalled. They were never put in correctly.
3 of the windows cant even be opened since the pin that allows them to go up and down broke in half. drafts from all. called the company and said they would look into it. sent me a letter stating it would be $125 to come out and look plus $65.00 and hour.
they wanted me to send a check for half of the $125 for them to even make an app. what happened to lifetime warranty. the company was originally Barrier and when there were other issues there was never a fee. These are suppossed to be lifetime warranty and now they say that only applies to the window parts not the labor.
Total bull. they have many complaints
- Poor quality
Preferred solution: fix without fees

I had 6 slider Preservation windows installed even though their price was way to high through Your Home Improvement Co. out of St Cloud, MN.
We live on a lake and even though we were never told that we would loose 4 inches in length the salesman argued with me that he never forgets to mention that. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
