In jail for buying car
- - CitiFinancial aided a 2008 car purchase.
- - No payment book or plate; dealer held them.
- - Kenner, LA dealer allegedly issued a warrant 13 months later.
I am not sure where this stared but I sure know that citifinacial was invovled. I purchased a car in 2008 like any one would.
Got pre approved. Brought bank statements tax info pay tubs etc. I paid down payment and paid ins gap ins and drove off as normal. I didnt get a payment book or plate.
I called citi and they said it was in the dealers hands. I tried to make payments and they did not take them at citi. I later found out that the dealer in kenner LA put a warant out for my arrest 13months later but was not signed by a judge untill 2010. I had a team of police come in take me out in my boxers and in front of my family not telling me why, when I had the car and letter fron the dealer saying thank you for your purchase after 60 days had gone by.
Along with the "purchase agreement signed by allparties." I have been in legal battes since but have now seen that many many consumers have had issue with this company.
Please blog if you can help or had a close exp. we should have to go to jail on our 43 birthday with no record at all when we go to buy a car
