New owner of 'Albie' and so happy!
I picked our Albie up on Wednesday, August 16th. My husband and I are 80ish and needed to reinvigorate our lives, and indeed we did. We are both now on a new schedule which we badly needed. We live in a condo community where many of the residents are older and are dog and cat owners. We looked for a breeder of smaller dogs in our area of northeast Ohio and luckily found Precious Pups, Our Albie was bred with love, hands-on and in a clean environment. He was socialized with other dogs and could play in the grass often. His medical care was excellent as our vet confirmed. Melissa was so very helpful at each step. She listened and answered questions and asked us questions. My daughter and I went together to pick up our new love. He is a loving, fun, adorable and feisty pup who is adored by family and vet and neighbors alike. We are now more active and healthy ourselves. Without any reservations we recommend this breeder. Our lives have been uplifted in so many ways. If I was capable I would adopt many more pups from Precious Pups.

Just adopted a very thin Chihuahua puppy 2 yrs old.
I have only just returned home to Maine with my puppy when a friend from Long Island called me with this news. I am dying to hear more but cannot access chan.12 news report from Maine without paying as a subscriber to that news. Aside from being very thin, the dog we adopted goes berserk when food is put down. She has to be separated from my other dog or she insists on eating EVERYONE'S EVERYTHING. After hearing the Chihuahuas eat from community troughs, and good luck to whomever gets some....I now see why it is the way it is. Also, while I was picking my pup out, one of the owners told me she cost 250. ....however when I got up to the window and spoke to a gal named "Laura" she said the cost was 400. and that the other girl was wrong. She seemed angry. I paid the 400. with a check. Any way I can read the whole story here?

And have a court case pending. See photos attached. Precious Pups shut down by the New York State Attorney General's office and is being investigated. See photos below...... PRECIOUS PUPS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COURT INJUNCTION FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL........... CANNOT RE-OPEN UNLESS ALL CHARGES ARE RESPONDED TO ALL DOGS TO FOSTER HOMES................... WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT IT IS NOT OVER YET!! WE NEED TO KEEP ON........PRESS FORWARD AND GET THOSE DOGS TAKEN AWAY FROM HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Huge "THANK YOU" to Eric. Eric T. Schneiderman and the NY State Attorney General's Suffolk County Office for recognizing the torture of these poor animals at the hands of Precious Pups. We have confidence that this will soon come to an end and be the beginning of new legislation to protect ALL of the voiceless animals and to stop the torture and torment that has gone on within the walls of Precious Pups "Rescue". Please join me in our appreciation of this monumental action.!! Eric T. Schneiderman heard our many pleas to stop the abuse of Long Island's precious animals. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we MUST send a HUGE "Thank You" to Chief Laton of the Suffolk County SPCA......many doubted, I did too........but they came through and they assisted the Attorney General's office in bringing all of the evidence so many of you/us had sent in to them.......persistence pays...CHIEF LATON.... The Riverhead Town Board has approved a resolution to take legal action against a Baiting Hollow property that town officials allege is acting as an illegal dog shelter. The board gave town attorney Robert Kozakiewicz the green light to begin a state Supreme Court civil action against the owners and tenants at 31 Goose Lane. Mr. Kozakiewicz said the building is being used to run an adoption business in violation of town code. The shelter, called Precious Pups, has been adopting out small rescue dogs, Mr. Kozakiewicz said, though he couldn’t say how many dogs were believed to be inside the house at any given time. “It was something brought to our attention,” he said. “One neighbor complained about the noise.” In an interview Wednesday morning, a woman who identified herself as the house’s owner said she was fostering dogs for a shelter in Ronkonkoma, adding that the town never sent her a notice that she had violated the town code. “Once in a while, maybe, I have one or two [shelter dogs] here,” said the woman, who did not give her name. “I just foster a couple of them. Is it against the law to foster a dog? I mean, some people foster children.”

I contacted Precious Pups via email. Filled out the application and set up an appointment to meet a dog. I wanted to meet this dog during the week however they set the meeting for Saturday. They knew I lived far - 1hr away. Saturday comes and I drive all of the way there to be told the dog was adopted on Friday. No apologies, wanted to know why I did'nt check my email on Saturday. They clearly had my phone number and the decent thing to do would be to call me. When I came home the email stated - the dog is adopted do you want another? The dog is still there the person who adopted it could'nt pick it up until the weekend. They claim they screen but they don't. They did not call my vet or come to my house. By the way I am an extremely conscious dog owner - love my dogs - they have health insurance and very well taken care of.
