After more weeks of attempting to contact the company, to actually get the repair done, they still have not replied, and lied to the BBB about the situation, claiming that they had no obligation to speak with me because they were contracted through squaretrade to fix the appliance.Not only is that a lie, it is the exact opposite of the situation. Squaretrade REQUIRES that the repair tech and customer relate only to each other during the full month following the claim.
Liars, crooks, thieves, unethical, slimy, useless, and lazy are just a few of the accurate adjectives that describe Praters.
NEVER trust these people for ANYTHING. They WILL rip you off.

I have a maintenance plan through Squaretrade.com, who contracted with Praters Appliance Repair and Mobile Home Parts. These losers came out to fix my dishwasher. Not only did they not fix the dishwasher, they made a follow up appointment for which they never showed up, nor did they return the 2 calls I placed with messages left that day. I have left messages at least 8 times now, over the last 2 weeks. No call back. I reached a human once, explained the situation, and was told that they would pass on the message and I would receive a call back. No call back. I leave a message on their answering machine every time I call...yes, I said answering machine, not voicemail. No website, no facebook, no online presence at all. Of course the BBB, for what it's worth, has no record of this business. They took the part with them when they left, saying "we have to take the old part because they don't trust us" and I now suspect that they may have taken the new part that they should have used to fix the dishwasher. My dishwasher certainly has the same problem now as before they came to fix it. OOOOOOOH! So frustrating! So. Frustrating. Ugh.
