Pray your neighbors don't hire them!

Three years ago, Prater put a new driveway in for our neighbors. Unfortunately, they did a terrible job on the drainage / grading. If rain hits the left side of our neighbors driveway then it runs into the one drain in front of their garage. However, if it hits the right side it runs into our yard and settles in front of our basement door. We had to repour our concrete patio to rectify this but the drainage from the driveway still creates issues. Mr. Prater came out ONCE and looked at his mess and told my husband and neighbor to dig a drain. So, why would we have to do that after the neighbor spent thousands to get their driveway done by them? Mr. Prater further stated he would come out after it rained or during a rain to look at it further. Needless to say it rained like 9 times and heavily over the next month and he was invisible. Needless to say, he had NO plans of doing the right thing and his company gets their money and runs. They didn't include clean up in their quote of the job. Told the neighbor after the job it wasn't included and they could pay more.I'm sorry, if you make a mess as a contractor/vendor you clean it up. You don't expect your customer to pick up the concrete rocks all over the neighbors yard. This has created a MAJOR mess for us and we are collateral damage. The only additional communication from Mr Prater of Prater and Sons came in the form of a cease and desist letter and discussed the natural flow of water. One, my reviews were honest and accurate and your company created a mess for us. The natural flow of water was CHANGED by Prater's poor job design. Fix it and I'll quit telling people about the ridiculous business practices.
