Verified ReviewerHorrible paint coverage.
Bought 3 gallons of Pittsburgh paramount one coat paint at Menards. I am now on coat 4 and all I see are roller narks.
The paint Is goopy has a few little balls of sand like consistency in it. I was told this is normal by a phone rep.
Either this paint is defective or just cheap garbage paint. I would love to know how to get a refund.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Label fraud
I purchased Olympic Maximum 10 year solid stain. I had a rebate form which required the UPC label to be sent with the form.
Upon cutting the UPC from the can, I noticed another label under the top label. The other label shows 8 year maximum stain. I called Olympic and spoke with three different people. They all said they had no idea why that would be.
One of them said to call Lowes and ask them why the labels are like that. Do you think Lowes doubled the labels??? I think not! One suggested I call Lowes and get the Olympic reps phone number and call him to see why.
I did this. His phone rings and rings with no answer and no voice mail. The UPC for the 8 year label and the one for the 10 year label are the same.
So, did Olympic suddenly change their 8 year stain to 10 year stain??? Talk about misrepresentation..........
PPG Olympic Deck Cleaner
Deck cleaner container, and deck cleaner brochure indicates it can be used to clean all deck surfaces, does not state not to use on cedar. In fact, it cannot be used on cedar or redwood, and use of deck cleaner caused pulp to rise to surface.
Company promised to do whatever was needed to resolve, in fact only sanding will resolve per their own tech support team, and now PPG refuses to be responsible for the cost of having it sanded, which is about $5600.
Employees at PPG: Joe Bartlett, Mike Bourgie and Bill Sample. All have talked to us on phone multiple times over 45 days, and have ultimately refused to accept responsibility.

This happened to me too on my cedar deck!! So pissed.
I had to resand and redo the whole thing.
PPG/Olympic needs to update their directions/disclosures to warn of this issue! I am going to try calling them, hopefully with better results.
I just read the directions and it clearly states that one must FIRST TEST A SMALL AREA! You must have skipped that step though.
