POSTNET STEALS PACKAGES
Updated by user Dec 08, 2024

PostNet has failed to resolve the issue and leadership does not take responsibility because they said each franchise location is independently operated. They are horrible.

Original review Nov 08, 2024
This is regarding location 241 in Spring, Texas. The owners, Oliver Croomes and Janice Croomes, had the police called on them and are currently under investigation for package theft.

They own two locations, one in Spring, Texas, and one in Cypress, Texas. They claimed that they shipped the package and had a video to prove it but were unable to provide this video. UPS has no record of the package because it was never handed to them. Due to the nature of the contents, this is now a potential felony.

I would avoid this place like the plague and will never use PostNet. I am also working with PostNet corporate to report Oliver Croomes and Janice Croomes.

  • - Allegations say Oliver and Janice Croomes, owners of Spring and Cypress, TX locations, are under investigation for package theft.

They are horrible in all aspects. They are owned by alpha graphics and are an off-shoot so management really doesn’t really care about customer satisfaction.

The owners Oliver Croomes and Janice Croomes had police called on them and are currently under investigation for package theft. They own two locations one in spring Texas and one in cypress Texas.

They claimed that they shipped the package and had video to prove it but were unable to provide the video. UPS has no record of the package because it was never handed to him. Due to the nature of the contents and dollar amount ($1200), this is now a potential felony. Please investigate Oliver Croomes and Janice Croomes.

They own 2 locations and their daughter works for the Post office and all three are operating a theft ring.
I will continue to drag PostNet through social media and will be reaching out to media.

I need someone to call me ASAP. This does not look good for the PostNet brand.
Did you know that Oliver crimes the owner has a domestic violence charge ?

  • - PostNet Fort Mill did a canvas wrap/mounted canvas and delivered as promised.
  • - Haresh Ghodasara was easy to deal with and explained the process.

This past week I had my local postnet location do a canvas wrap/mounted canvas for me. I am 100% pleased with the way this turned out.

My local postnet franchisee: Haresh Ghodasara was easy to deal with and explained the process to me and delivered as promised.

I would recommend this location with confidence. My location is in Fort Mill, SC 29708.

User's recommendation: Absolutely.

Theft or Fraud involving a high dollar item

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Two items dropped off; one delivered, the other missing.
  • - Value of missing robotic vacuum is $550; not scanned; police report filed.

Postnet in Cedar Park Texas on Whitestone Blvd. did not mail the item I dropped off.

I dropped off two items to be shipped . Both already had shipping labels on them. One package made it to the destination and was scanned by USPS. The item that has disappeared is a robotic vacuum with a value of 550.00.

It was in the original box as I was instructed to send it back that way for warranty service. It was never scanned by USPS so one of 3 people know what happened to it. Hatel Patel the owner, Sylvia Garza the employee and the postal carrier.

The Postnet is claiming no responsibility but the post office said they must scan it before they leave. Police report filed and a theft investigation with USPS opened.

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Stay far far away. Dishonest people.

UPS package rip off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - UPS Ground charged $49 at PostNet Round Rock.
  • - UPS/FEDEX rate is about $24.
  • - Receipt shows only UPS-GND; no surcharge line.
  • - Total is about double the $24.

My wife dropped off a package to be shipped via UPS Ground at the PostNet at 1801 Red Bud Ln in Round Rock and was charged $49. When I checked the UPS and FEDEX rates, the actual shipping costs are about $24.

There is no disclosure that there is a surcharge - the only charge on the receipt is the line item stating the package is being sent UPS-GND. I can understand a small surcharge or convenience fee, but $25? This doubled the cost of the shipment without providing any benefit.

It is not surprising that PostNet does not disclose the fees when they are that excessive. Do not use unless you have $$$ to burn - I know I will not be going back.

Go directly to the provider.

Resolved: Postnet Scottsdale AZ - Customer service relationship improvement - and full disclosure

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Three parcels: 1 UPS, 2 USPS flat-rate boxes.
  • - Receipt shows $15.90 for two boxes at $7.95; should have been $5.95; convenience fee charged.

I took 3 parcels to PostNet on 12/5 - one for UPS and the other 2 in flat rate boxes for USPS. Steve the person behind the counter just told us the total amount which I paid.

As far as I can remember the amount does not come up on a display like it does on other Point of Sale terminals. Perhaps I did not look closely enough. I return home to see that the receipt was for $15.90 for the 2 boxes @ $7.95 each which should have been $5.95. I asked him today if the flat rate had changed and he said no, he had charged me a convenience fee.

I asked why he did not declare it prior to charging me and his reaction to me was, "don't come back". I looked at him in disbelief and thought I had heard wrong and asked him to repeat himself, and he said exactly that again a second time.

There are three things to consider here - (1) caveat emptor and this buyer will be more aware going forward, however this is Scottsdale, trust is high and scams are particularly rare, (2) there is a business training opportunity in customer service here for PostNet with this franchisee and (3) there is absolutely no reason for any customer to visit a dishonest and rude shop keeper, however much the convenience.

Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Preferred solution: No solution required. This is only to raise awareness of the nature of the shopkeeper.

  • - I tried to cancel my PostNet Blaine mailbox.
  • - I was billed $90 and a $30 charge was placed on card.
  • - They promised a callback in July 2014; no call.

I had a mailbox at the PostNet in Blaine, MN. I called to cancel and was told it was 10 days into the next contract--I hadn't signed a contract--so she wanted $90 to cover 6 months of service when I didn't want any service at all.

She charged my credit card $30! I called corporate. They said that was wrong and their manager would call me to resolve--in July of 2014. No call back.

I called back repeatedly--nobody called back. I posted on their Facebook. They said they'd help. FOUR TIMES!

I've yet to receive a call! I am totally disgusted!
