Review in Photography category from Toronto, Ontario
I would like to begin my response to this review by saying that I would love to invite this reviewer to contact me asap for a full refund. However, I do know that this is impossible for the following reasons: this review is wholly inaccurate and completely false because 1) I have not done wedding invitations except for a close friend and for editorial photo shoots 2) I have not done menus in conjunction with wedding invitations except for editorial photo shoots 3) I have not done graphic design work in at least 25 years, the only "graphic design" work I have done lately has been logos, all for female photographers, not one male customer 4) I have not been contacted ever to do wedding work for a couple and design work for the husband 5) as far as my workshops go, how could I be "sweet and nice" to a workshop goer before the workshop and then turn nasty once I get her money?
Does that mean I am nasty during the workshop? And why then do my workshops sell out and I have never had any such complaint? Readers of these kinds of reviews need to take heed and read these "reviews" with a grain of salt.
As for this "anonymous reviewer", I invite you to contact me at any time for an entirely full refund. I'm waiting...
Negative Review - Post Calligraphy Lisa Mavian
My husband and I both hired her separately to do work for both our wedding and his business, BIG MISTAKE! Before hiring her she was nice and sweet but once she had our money she was rude and did not listen to what we had envisioned, making us feel like she was doing us a favour and being incredibly rude when we wanted ANY small changes done.
Luckily my husband was able to hire someone else for his business graphic work, but we couldn't find anyone to redo our wedding invitations and menus (because it was so last minute and she took so long) so we had to unfortunately use hers which wasn't at all what we wanted, were completely unreadable and did not match anything whatsoever. After talking to a work colleague about it, she said that she took one of her calligraphy classes not long ago and had the same vibe about her, nice at first but very difficult to work with once she has your money.
Do yourself a favour and hire someone else for your graphic and calligraphy work! Not worth the stress!

She’s so beautiful , it’s all irrelevant.........
I just hired Lisa for my wedding next year and I can't wait! I met with her last week and she was so lovely-- she listened to all the ideas my fiancé and I had in terms of invites, place cards, and seating chart.
If my wedding turns out anything as nice as the ones she posts on her Instagram feed, I'll be thrilled!
Definitely recommend PostCalligraphy.
I've worked with Lisa from Post Calligraphy numerous times and have never experienced anything that was remotely close to what this anonymous user has experienced. Nothing but amazing customer service, Lisa made sure what I received was exactly what I asked for and beyond. I would and have recommended using her amazing talents and services again and again.
First off I would like very much to respond to this "anonymous" reviewer by inviting them to contact me personally for a full refund. However I know this is impossible because this "review is wholly inaccurate and false for the following reasons: 1) I have not done wedding invitations for anyone except a close friend and for editorial photo shoots 2) I have not done menus in conjunction with invitations except for editorial photo shoots 3) I have not been hired ever by a couple to do wedding invitations and then separately by the husband to do graphic design work 4) I have not done graphic design work separately from calligraphy for at least 25 years 5) the only design work I have done lately has been in conjunction with calligraphy and has been logos all for female clients, never for a male client as of yet.
I can and will refute all of these slanderous comments easily as they are wholly inaccurate and plain and simply, lies. Again I invite and implore "anonymous" to please contact me personally so that I can give them a full refund...I'm waiting...Readers beware and take this kind of review with a grain of salt.
