- - The owner Sid Oza and staff are rude and unhelpful.
- - The two stores are often closed early and empty.
- - After 10 years, I am closing my mailbox rental.
I will never go back to postalannex, I was there for 10 years, too much. no more.
I am using another company. too happy to get rid of postal annex.
I am sorry that I still have to give 1 star, otherwise I would have given zero. Sid Oza, the owner, and the kids he always hires are not worth it.
They do not know how to treat a customer, they are rude, unpleasant, most of the time close early, they always have an excuse to do so. The 2 stores he owns are always empty every time I go there. No one came anymore. After 10 years renting a mailbox there, I have to close it.
Cannot take it anymore. I have been a customer for 10 years. He always covers for those girls. With him, the customers are always wrong.
He is doing this business for the money, but he does not have any professionalism or respect for people. Rude staff incompetent.
Do not go there, do not give him your money. He needs to be shut down.
- More cons that pros
- Unprofessional
- Incompetent
Preferred solution: Nothing, just to stay away from those rude and incompetent people. it has been for the last 10 years since I am a customer. I have spent so much money there, and no respect at all. Enough is enough.
User's recommendation: Do not go there.

Verified ReviewerComplete lack of integrity and predatory
- - Lamp arrived shattered due to poor packaging.
- - Full insurance purchased; no reimbursement; store blamed FedEx.
I had a lamp packaged and shipped from the Lemon Grove Postal Annex. The packaging and the shipping cost more than $200.
I purchased full insurance for the lamp. Upon arriving, the lamp was shattered, clearly because of how it was packaged. The Lemon Grove store put the metal chain inside the globe without affixing it and it could move around and smash against the globe during transit. After reaching out to the Lemon Grove store, the owner 100% denied any problem with the packaging and insisted that it was FedExs fault.
Yet, there was no evidence that the box was damaged and ultimately FedEx denied the claim filed by Lemon Grove Postal Annex. Because the Lemon Grove owner then refused to reimburse any of the fully insured lamp, suggesting that we broke it, I then called the national office for all of the Postal Annex franchises. The first time I called them, a representative apologized for the encounter with the Lemon Grove store and asked us to call the store back. We did, but the owner refused to reimburse.
We then called the main office for Postal Annex again and we were connected with a truly predatory man who suggested that we broke the lamp. I cannot emphasize enough the complete lack of integrity of this business. Purchasing insurance was useless because they were not good for it.
If we had easy access to a lawyer we would certainly pursue a legal challenge, but it has been months of our lives arguing with these people and it just doesnt seem worth it at this point. However, I will be informing everyone I know about this unethical business and suggest that no one use them.
- Lemon grove postal annex would not honor shipping insurance
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not use this business

Verified Reviewer |Don't use theses services Rude staff incompetent
- - Poor customer service is not up to standard.
- - High staff turnover and mail is often misplaced.
- - Managers are unhelpful and rude, with Sara named.
Lost mail and packages 6 incidents in 4 months time. Staff admit to putting wrong mail in the mail box but don't show remorse.
I asked to see improvement after the 2nd event, nothing improved it got worse.
Patron for 7 years and due to lack of leadership and turnover the services have continued to deteriorate. See Yelp reviews for similar reports.
This Postal annex has the worst customer service, they do not represent the Postal Annex standard we have all known to be extraordinary and excellent. There has been a lot of staff turn over.
The staff are constantly putting the wrong mail in the patrons boxes, packages and mail are lost and the sad part is when you ask to speak to a manager they are not willing to help and have attitude!
They are rude especially Sara. I would not recommend this Postal Annex for business or service.
- Incompetent staff lack of training
- Poor customer service
- Lack of leadership

- - Injured in Feb 12 Hillcrest mass shooting; now has physical pain and PTSD.
- - Went to store #7 for scanning/computer rental; Bosco was confrontational.
I have been a customer and box holder of Postal Annex, store #7. Hillcrest,92103 since 2005. On Feb 12. 19, I was injured during the mass shooting in the hillcrest neighborhood that evening. I injured my elbow and suffer severe PTSD from childhood trauma. Yesterday, at 5:15PM, I had gone to store #7 to do some scanning, copying and computer rental related to the personal injury case. Elyce helped me and Bosco completed the transaction. After my sale, Bosco asked to speak to me outside. He asked me why I am always unhappy. I told him I was injured both physically and mentally by the incident and I explained I am under severe distress, anxiety and with physical pain to my left elbow. He acted in a confrontational way. My friend BMA was a witness and tried to explain to Bosco what I was going through. Bosco dismissed my explanation and says that every time he sees me I am not happy.
I asked Elyce what I did and she gave me a smug look and said nothing. Of note, this store is in the LGBTQ neighborhood of San Diego. I have personally witnessed members of my community spout off on Bosco and his employees; demanding, cursing and banging on the counters. I have wateched and Bosco seems to attend to these people easier and jumps for them.
Also, I had box # XXX
for my personal mail. I had a restraining order against someone. After the court hearing the judge ALLOWED my protective/stalking order against this person. He clearly violated the order and I asked store #7 not to allow this person to seek personal information about me. Obviously, someone in the store gave out my information or the person would have not know I was a customer there. I went to an attorney who reached out to the store about the latter and they refused to cooperate.
- Boscos treatment
Preferred solution: Full refund
Discrimination against ptsd people

POSTAL ANNEX CALABASAS
- - Rabi/Ravi, owner of Postal Annex Calabasas, is rude and aggressive.
- - Notarization costs $25 per signature for 4 docs, and $2 for staples and $2 for tape.
Postal Annex in Calabasas (Previously UPS Calabasas) is owned and managed by a rude, inconsiderate and aggressive person who knows nothing about customer service.. His name is Rabi/Ravi..
While trying to get documents notarized he told me that I had to prepay him $25 per signature for 4 documents I needed witnessed.. I asked him about the cost only being $10 else where and he said that he charges more because he is more experienced.. I gave him $100 in cash (the only cash I had on me at the time.. After witnessing the documents I politely requested that he staple the documents together, place them in an envelope and seal it with tape..
He then told me I had to pay $2 for the staples and $2 for the tape.. After explaining to him that unfortunately he had already taken the only cash I had on me at the time, he took the documents away and said that he could only give them to me once I had paid for the staples and tape for the envelope and demanded the $4. I have never seen any business try to charge for staples or tape in my 57 years on earth, this guy is despicable.. Staying away is probably a good idea unless you want to get treated rudely and spoken to loudly and aggressively in front of a store full of people over $4!!
I will never step foot inside this place again...
As a woman, this is the worst treatment I've experienced in a very long time.. I feel sorry for his staff if he treats his customers like this...
