Ponzios Diner

I met a group of friends, formerly of South Jersey, now residing on the West Coast for a reunion dinner at Ponzio's Diner on Route 70, SOuth Jersey. The server was rude and classless as he addressed everybody at the table as either "Boss" and "Chief" and tossed the food at us rather than serving it. Then, to made matters worse, he served the unordered, poorly prepared food to us. When he refused to correct the mix up in food order, I complained to the manager who only offer of apology was to say he spoke to this particular waiter before about the same complains. But otherwise, he is his best employee (I hate to be served by his worst).

When the check arrived, it included a surcharge for having to serve a large groups (7 adults) When I brought the extra charge to the attention of the cashier and the fact that I had already left a minimum tip of 10% for this lame service and wrong order, the Manager appeared, citing the Diner's policy on serving large groups and shouted and totally embarassing me, that he would call the police if I didn't pay the surcharge.

Poor service, tasteless, under cooked food, and threatening a customer for daring to complain is POnzio's embarassment, not my own.

PS - Ponzio has a website to receive comments but their so called management simply ignores negative comments and puts you on their e-mail to advertise their weekly specials- yea right!!!! As if I would ever go back there again.
