Warning

These guys not only ripped me off of several boxes but managed to break several items in every carefully packed box marked fragile, many items irreplaceable antiques and family heirlooms. Initially they were very polite and courteous and showed up when no one else was available.

The damage was not found right away but several weeks later when we began to unpack.

I would not complain directly because these guys are definitely the kind that will retaliate. If that were not enough, when I tried to locate their business address, all I could find was some ghetto apartment complex in a bad section of Wahiawa.

Moving

When we call for information, they give us one price and omit the most important part how long they will take to do the moving, which was done very slowly to last longer so that the customer will have to pay more. Besides they were one hour late for the moving.

They also charged for the trip to the originated moving place and their return from the delivery place to their "office".

In addition to overcharging me, they also dropped two of my items and scratched one of my expensive tables. I will not recommend Polynesian Movers to any of my friends.

CONSUMER BEWARE OF POLYNESIAN MOVERS!!

We moved rececntly and used Polynesian Movers LLC on OAHU. They were very nice, but don't be decieved.

The owner Clayton came and gave us an estimate, looked presentable, and very business oriented. We secheduled of our move agreed on a fair price, however on the day of the move, they showed up one guy short, promised 3 movers only 2 showed up. Because they had a small truck we ended up with 2 loads, on the return trip for the second load....they took off and NEVER CAME BACK!! We had already given them the check for their services, because we figured they were a reputable company!!

BOY WERE WE WRONG!! We taried to cancel the check but they had already cashed it.

We had to rent a truck over the weekend and find other people to help us finish our move!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!

The owner is Clayton?? I was told the owner's name is Tasi.

These guys are the 'horror stories' of movers. Tasi wrote down how much it would cost me and at the end of moving day my tab came out twice as much which Clayton said they have a lot of complaints about that (go figure). I argued the point and they knocked off $100. On moving day they were an hour late, walking in looking like they just woke up.

They have no office/station. They come from their own houses. Remember this folks, the meter starts running from the time they leave their 'houses' to your place. There's these two guys that arrived at my place an HOUR LATE looking like they just rolled out of bed with energy drinks in their hands.

I was overcharged on boxes, they came with a small truck, they gouged at least two of my furnitures including the wall in my new place, and chipped off about 2" off my marble top dresser. Please people, I don't usually write reviews but go with the reputable and professional moving companies like Island Movers, Royal Hawaiian Movers, Westpac Movers and be worry free. You will KNOW you will be getting the best.

Polynesian Movers are truly the types that we are all afraid of getting. Totally non-professionals.

Hello I work for Polynesian Movers. I am sorry you have had a bad experience with our company but as you have had your say I believe our company should as well.

Polynesian Movers occasionally does flat rates for customers. When we do this a price is agreed upon for a set amount of items. Which means if we are only moving 3 bedrooms for that price only 3 bedrooms will be moved. Sometimes people try to add more than what was agreed upon come the day of the move.

Our movers are only required to do the work that was agreed upon during the signing of the contract. So please customers if you are given a flat rate ONLY the items that the estimator has written down will be moved.

Quoted me half of the Price, stole from me.

Polynesian Movers in Wahiawa, HI not only quoted me a price and AFTER the job was done charged me almost double, they also stole my $1200 camera. So, a job that should've cost me around $500-$800 cost me $2600.

I had everything already packed and they charged me for boxes, tape, paper, and wrap. They charged me for the lunch break that they "never too" even though I bought them lunch and they ate it. it was $600 worth of charges. They also took 10 hrs to complete a 5 hr job.

When I unpacked all my stuff, my $1200 camera with the pictures of my newborn baby was gone. My husband was deployed and I took hundreds of pictures for him to see our little girl grow and they are gone.

Never hire this company. One of the guys that moved us is the one that answers to all online contact and he answers every phone call to every number you call, I am guessing he is the owner...who knows.

There is a brief "contract" only WITH the rates. Where are you when all of these people are signing the contract agreement? You have a lot to say but you weren't there, were you???

I don't know who you are but if you're connected with this 'company' you should be there to supervise because Polynesian Movers are not professionals. In my experience and reading the reviews of these people, I had a very unpleasant time with these guys.

If you weren't there, don't try and sound professional like an eBay seller because nobody knows who you are.

You were never made known, at least to me. Terrible business.

The same thing happened to me, they said everything was included but charged me over $1100 in supplies. They are a scam.

I am stopping payment and going to take them to court for all the damages to my property. I wish I would have seen this last week

I am sorry about the experience you had with our company. We do our best to ensure that we have good quality workers but it is impossible to control the environment we are in 100%.

That is why we ask all or customers to pack all their personal belongings and personal items/valuables and to transport those items themselves. If they fit in a box you have to pack them and take them. We are licensed and insured and if claims are filed within the time that is listed on the contract that all customers are presented with, asked to read, and sign…these items will be credited. My advice to all customers is please read the contract that is given to you by the crew leader at the beginning of the job completely before signing.

That way there will be no surprises come the end of the job. If you were aware that there was no materials used on your job you should not have paid for them. We have a whole contract dedicated to materials used. It is called a summary of charges contract where it lists everything in detail that you are being charged for.

A crew leader asks you to read and sign the contract. I remember your move because a crew leader called in about the camera. After talking to him he said they packed your kitchen, 3 full bedrooms, living room and some items on your lanai. So according to the contract that you signed items were packed.

You had a discounted rate for 2 MOVERS. You told our office that you only had a couple stairs but it ended up being 4 flights of stairs and the destination of the items were taken up another 2 flights of stairs. This can be time consuming. Our movers are professional and properly trained but I am sorry they are not machines.

There are things called labor laws.

I know you are upset about your camera and you have every right to be but I don’t understand where the rest of these complaints are coming from? On behalf of our Company I am sorry you were unsatisfied with our services.
