Poisson Motors Charge Review from Bellevue, Washington
This place is the biggest scam I've ever seen. I was told I couldn't make a payment by credit card and the guy only wanted cash.
Then they repo my car and when my husband went in to pay it the guy told him he would have taken cards over the phone. I was charged $450 for a repo fee plus late fees plus my car payment by the dealer and $100 from the repo company. I asked the dealer why i had to pay him and the repo company both a fee and he told me they werent affiliated with one another. When i asked the repo company for a receipt it was on the dealers letterhead.
The dealer also tried to charge me for the next weeks payment as well which he didn't get because it wasn't due yet. Two weeks later I tried to call and make payment and he didn't answer my phone calls nor texts. They do this on purpose so they can charge a crazy repo fee and when most people can't afford to pay it to get the car back so they can resell the vehicle. Unfortunate for them my husband makes great money and we got it back.
I should have never gotten a vehicle from him as he didn't even let me test drive it. Mistake number one. Its already falling apart.
Lights have come on, ac stopped working, the dash broke and it made a rumbling noise while in park and the keys weren't even in the ignition. Stay away from this place people!
Poisson Motors - carsunder3000.net - Horrible!!!
Whatever you do - DO NOT buy a car from this establishment!!! I learned a very expensive lesson - the cars are junk.
Mr. Poisson advertised a 1996 Volvo with 98k miles and in good condition; what he failed to mention is that the odometer was broken - along with everything else in the car. I was looking for a cheap 2nd car and thought this would work. I paid him $1,200 with the agreement I would pay off the rest in installments (2,700 total).
I picked up the car after hours and immediately realized that the headlights were not functioning. He had also told me he would replace the battery, fix the window that would not go up and the passenger door that would not open from the inside. He did nothing. The car went exactly 2 miles and immediately shut down.
Cracked engine, electrical issues, etc. After much back and forth, Mr. Poisson and I did agree that he would keep my $1,200 and return some of the money for the tags I bought (or give me the tags).
At the last minute, he refused to give me my tags or return half for them. He is not reputable - go to a regular dealer and do not trust this business!!!

Whatever you do do not buy a car from this establishmentThey're very crooked and they lie about a lot of their stuffMy wife was told that she cannot make a payment over the phone that we had to come in we own our own business and was very hard for us to come in so we kept trying to call to make a payment they repo the car and told her it would be $600 for them to release the car.We should have learned from the man from the beginning the minute we purchased the car about 5 miles away from leaving the dealership the suspension light came on a.c. not working Odometer light went offPeople stay away from the dealership they are a crook
Kellie, next time take a third party mechanic for inspection! You always find one in craigslist locally under automotive services.
50 bucks could save you thousands! Mr. Poisson writes in his Website to bring your own mechanic to check the car. I want to see his reaction when you really show up with your own mechanic, haha.
I am living in Spain till December and are in need of a vehicle then.
After seeing so nice pics and read many bad reviews about these crooks, I think I will stay away from them in the future.
Prefer to deal with a private person instead.
Did you report your experience to the BBB? Hope you did.
Pura vida!
P.S. most of these crooks belong into an orange jumpsuit!
But as long as they cheat their victims (and they always do) they continue to give you even an attitude when you ask too many questions.
