Mel Puleo's scams and rip offs.
- - Allegations that Mel Puleo abused former associates and used derogatory language, plus claims of fake reviews with spelling errors.
Before proceeding please look up Mel Puleo at ripoffreport.com. read first-hand in his own words where he has abused his former associates, called one a m**f** and another an delusional alcoholic.
No one is making this up. Read what Mel Puleo has written there in his own words. https://www.prlog.org/1124****-groupon-has-major-competition-knocking-on-its-door.html Here above is another fake press review printed by Mel Puelo. It contains the spelling mistakes, un-required capitalization and random numbers that point to the grammatically challenged Mel Puleo as the author.
He has of course praised himself to the skies once again. http://www.racecar2000.com/classifieds/view-ad-20867.html Here is another of his utterly ridiculous fake scams. Lot at what he is selling. A car that requires absolutely NO MAINTENANCE.
If this does not alert you to Mel Puleo being a scam artist then I do not know what will. And oh, before I forget, please ask him to provide proof of ownership of the nine pizza businesses that he has operated in the past. Please do that before you regret him ripping you off for scamming you. Google the name Mel Puleo and see the fraudulent schemes that he has been involved in.
If after that you still want to do business with him then that is your decision. Tags: Mel Puleo, scam artist, fraud, ripoff, pyramid marketing.

Fake press reviews, fake letters of reference
- - Accuses Mel Puleo of posing as an independent journalist.
- - It claims the press release was written by him.
- - It warns of scams.
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/03/prweb361382.htm This is a press review written by Mel Puleo himself while pretending to be an independent journalist. He thinks he is Tony Soprano and calls himself one intense individual.
Ask Mel Puleo to sign a legal affidavit and state that the above press release was not written by him. Tell him that he will have to return your money if he lies about the above. He will not do this. That is because the above fake press release was written by him.
This is deceitful. There are many other instances of deceit by him. He slams customers, sells fake electric cars that require no maintenance, has a fake business that pays you money if you see aliens and what not.
Be careful when dealing with scam artists like him. I will update this page shortly with more of his scams.

Pick up the Phone
- - Renewal notice says to call to renew.
- - I have been on hold for 37 minutes with no answer.
- - I was next in line 28 minutes ago.
I received a renewal notice instructing me to call to renew my subscription. I am currently still on hold 37 minutes later.
Can someone please pick up my call. Why should I waste my entire lunch hour waiting on hold being told my call is very important when nobody will pick up the phone. I waited a reasonable amount of time and was next in line 28 minutes ago. There has got to be a better way.
I looked online for a section to handle complaints and this review area is all that I could find. Yep still on hold I hope someone will pick up the phone soon.
I tried to submit a shorter complaint, but the review area requires my review to be at least 100 words.
- Still waiting on hold for 40 minutes

Plymouth Rock Energy Billing Department Review
- - Unauthorized charge appeared on my Edison bill.
- - No record of authorization was found; review promised but no explanation given.
I've noticed a charge on my *** Edison bill, which I NEVER authorized. Reached out for a review, only to be told that no record of the authorization was available.
I was told that my account would be reviewed and addressed.
I've reached out looking for an explanation for which I have not received.
Cold calling
- - Calls from 740-969-**** every few months; number not removed; filed Do Not Call complaint.
- - Address found: 104 W Main St, Amanda, Ohio; funeral home.
I rec'd a phone call from this company under the number 740-969-****.
They call every 3 months or so and have not as of yet removed my number from their system.
I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list. I seriously doubt they'll do anything about it.
I did run a spydialer search and located and approximate address of 104 W Main St, Amanda, Ohio. However I looked this address up and shows up as a funeral home.
I seriously am tired of these people calling my cell thinking I'm going to switch as well as how they are farming my number.
Pushy Salesman
- - Plymouth Rock salesman pressed and pushy, asking to see bills to verify the lowest rate.
- - I won't do business with this energy company.
A salesman from Plymouth Rock came to my door saying I had to show him my gas and electric bills so he could make sure I had been switched correctly and was getting the lowest rate. I refused and he stated he had to see my bills in order to do his job.
Asked me to pull them up on my computer and show him. Said my neighbor "little Miss X" had done that. He was really pushy, slick and refused to take no for an answer. After going around and around and explaining that I understood how energy choice programs worked he said "have a blessed day" sarcastically and left.
He was really slick and probably hoodwinks little old ladies and people less savvy. Just added this energy choice company to the list I won't do business with.
Resolved: WILL SALE YOUR CUSTOMER LIST NOT PAYING CALLCENTERS AND BROKERS FOR SALES
- - Steve Veltri and Plymouth allegedly acquired 400-600 weekly sales but never paid.
- - 80 of 100 sales reportedly canceled after signup; clawbacks rose.
the legitimacy of this post has no merit please remove plymouth rock has resolved all issues past postings are false.
my callcenter going through broker steve veltri aquired 400 to 600 sales per week never got paid there were always issues of customers dropping off due to (fraudulent) reasons.within a week i would have so called customers switching to another (supplier) no matter what and they would try to blame on my center, then there would be customers cancelling day after signing up (out of 100 sales they tell me (plymouth and steve that 80 customers cancel. The more sales i would report the more clawbacks they would make up.this company really needs to change its way of buisness they are going to mess with the wrong center one day.someone inside their company may be working with either another (esco) selling accounts or broker and plymouth are cheating call centers out payments and pocketing money.6 other callcenters i spoke to are seeing same results.beware of using brokers they will destroy your life i stopped dialing after 4 weeks of issues.the energy world is already saturated and these guys either are going out of buisness that they have to steal from working callcenters. The guy that i went through at plymouth is a m reiss and broker steven veltri .they almost destroyed and bankrupted my company!!!!!
Missleading salesman
- - Plymouth Rock caller claimed to save me money.
- - They seemed to partner with PSE&G.
- - I was billed by Plymouth Rock and PSE&G.
- - Refunds were denied.
I received call from Plymouth Rock (PR) and the person explained that this would save me money. This happened to be at the same time I received assistance thru PSE&G on my monthly bill due to health issues and limited income.
I usually don't accept phone solicitations and requested mail info. The person was very aggressive and made it seem they were partners with PSE&G and were in my area. Well when I received my bill I was being charged for electric by PR and PSE&G. I called PSEG to cancel PR and found it would take a few months.
I called PR to request a refund agent said no refunds available.
Shame on you Plymouth Rock.

Preferred solution: Full refund
Plymouth Rock Energy Rip-Off SCAM artists
- - They claimed you could save half on electricity.
- - Month 1 didn't match promise and was over $300; complaint to AG and utility commission planned.
This company called my daughter with the line that she "could" save upwards of half of her regular supply charges for electricity. Instead they've ripped her off for more than $300 in a short amount of time.
Post your experiences with this company when they rip you off! I'm going to make sure none of my friends are on their service!
The first month's charge wasn't even what they told her it would be and I plan to register a complaint with the State Atty General's office and the utility commission to investigate these people and their tactics. These companies are unscrupulous and should be stopped.
- Being scammed
Billing Department Review
They took great care of my bill it came down tremendously.. Thanks PR.
Overcharging
- - Signed up for a guaranteed rate but charged a higher electricity rate.
- - They don't answer calls and can't do anything; they'd extend your agreement.
They signed me up for one guaranteed rate, and nevertheless keep charging a higher rate for electricity. They don't respond to phone calls, and if you happen to get through (I didn't, but a friend of mine did who had the same problem), they simply tell you they can't do anything.
But they'd be happy to extend your agreement! Lo
They seriously need to be the defendant in a class action suit. Heck, this is felony mail fraud.
It is quite astonishing that they have managed to stay in business. Clearly it's a "business" model that's guided by the principal of deception and theft.
Electricity Review
Avg price per kwh is .084 plymouth is now charging me .18 cents. I try to call customer service no answer.they are a ripp off company
Increased rates
- - Electric bill doubled since last month.
- - Line was busy; emails not answered.
- - Reported to PPL; wants contracts revoked for 100% increase.
I've called at least a dozen times in the last 2 days to ask why my electric bill has almost doubled since last month---the line was always busy. I have send e-mails but never received a reply.I have reported it to my primary provider PPL electric utilities they have a lower rate---I want all contracts revoked because of the increase in my bill by at least 100%.
I expect full compliance.
.I Unless this amt is remitted I will report it to the better business bureau and will notify my attorney. remember - those who follow good ethics will be gratefully rewarded.
Being overcharged by 300% by Plymouth Rock Energy Co
- - Plymouth Rock Energy charged 3x PSE&G.
- - Hours on hold with no answers.
- - There is a 60-day wait for PSE&G to resume, and refunds are doubtful.
For the past several months Plymouth Rock Energy has been charging 3X as much as PSE&G for electricity. I have spent hours on hold trying to talk to them but no one answers.
I have sent e-mails which only get canned replies. I have cancelled this service (but had to wait 60 days for PSE&G to resume as provider). During this time, I have been charged 3X what PSE&G would have charged. Also, I should never have had to wait 60 days which gave Plymouth Rock Energy additional time to bilk us.
I doubt they will even acknowledge this post let alone refund the money they have overcharged us. I urge other consumers never to trust them or sign up with them. I learned the hard way.
This company is a total scam. BEWARE!!!!!
