They won’t care, we’re no longer paying valued customers but more paying for the privilege to be on they’re land.

If your separatist youll be welcome with open arms, ever since the lazy current owners have taken over the place has lost any good character it ever had, especially with the departure of Jerry last season, theyve managed to cancel or downgrade all events that took any effort at all on theyre part, can only hold onto a few diehard employees that manage to just brush them off somehow, tip to the wise if you go there, stay under the radar, do not be yourself, you wont be invited back, theyve managed to spark a great divide between the languages which is sad, they expect residents to suck it up or leave, even if you try to theyll just tell you to pack up, anyways, very sad state of affairs, washrooms are not clean, lucky if youve got toilet paper, just remember, no matter what theyve advertised, dont complain about anything.

Sales of Drugs on Premises not a family friendly environment

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Concerns about drug activity at Plein Bois in Rigaud.
  • - Owners haven’t replied to safety inquiries.
  • - Friend in recovery could face triggers.

My spouse and I were planning on renting a cabin at Plein Bois in Rigaud as it is known for being one of few gay camp sights in Ontario/Quebec and not far from our town in Ontario (about 2hours). Friends of ours that go up regularly notified us that it might not be a safe environment for our friend who is recovering from substance abuse as they have witnessed the sale of chemical drugs frequently there and it's something that is a recurring problem every summer with this sight.

My spouse took it upon himself to inquire and ask the sight if this is true and 2 emails later there is no reply so our guess is, that it is true and the owners of the camp sight don't want to change it and would rather lose business than provide a safe and healthy camping experience.

Our fear is not only that that our friend, who is an adult, will stumble upon the drugs (we can't babysit him and control who he speaks with) but we also don't want him to relapse and anything can be a trigger.

Also, we feel that with drugs prevalent in the nightclubs and at Pride festivities that this is one safe and family friendly environment where he can enjoy the company of other like-minded males and not have to worry about drugs being flashed in his face. Thirdly, with drugs like cocaine and *** on sight someone might be tempted to break into trailers and help themselves to our mobile phones, iPad, google devices, laptops watches, wallets etc when were are by the pool or in the restaurant.

The owners refuse to provide us with a healthy environment or even reply to our emails, so we feel that the drugs may be run by the camp site owners themselves and if anyone can provide further information as to the safety of the sight or how safe it might be for someone in recovery to enjoy a Friday to Sunday experience, please do enlighten us.
