- Plastk is down and not returning security deposits.
- Account closed 60+ days ago and funds still not returned.
Plastk has apparently just down, with out sending security deposits back to their card holders. They stopped answering calls and emails months ago, I closed my account over 60 days ago, which is their own policy before returning funds, they still haven't. I'm not the only one out money because of the crooks, and don't trust any company motola omobamiduro is involved with.

Update on account and Refund
- Tegan Siganski reports Plastk card issues for months.
- They request a full refund of the deposit and $200 loaded on the card; please contact me.
Currently nobody has reached out from Plastk. I will be contacting Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) to see if they can help because ADR Chambers Banking Ombuds Office (ADRBO) is unable to help but DC Bank is one of their partners.
Hello, my name is Tegan Siganski. The last I heard from anyone was over two months ago about there still being issues with Plastk and the cards not being useable. I have read that DC bank has cancelled all the cards and Id like my full deposit back and the $200 I put on my card for payment right as everything shut down.

- Motola Omobamiduro runs a scam.
- They allege lien-payment fraud from his car days.
- Deposits are taken, no cards are issued, and refunds are denied.
This is a scam company, run by a convicted scammer named Motola Omobamiduro. Before opening Plastk, he was a car salesman that took lien payments and refused to return them to the customers when the vehicles were returned.
He is now doing that in the credit card field. Takes deposits from unknowing victims (including myself), doesn't provide them with a card, refuses to close the accounts, and refuses to return the security deposits.
He also only reports to the credit bureau AFTER his company has convinced the customer that the account is fully closed (as I got the pleasure of finding out tonight -- almost 1.5yrs after i was told the account was closed, and i just gave up on fighting to get my deposit back). Thousands of customers across Canada are out hundreds of thousands of dollars because of this scamming fraudster, with their credit scores plummeting.

Wanting my deposit back

About my service with plastk
- Took over a month to receive card after deposit.
- Card declined 6 times in first week; charged.
- Login failed; support lines disconnected; no replies.
It took over a month to get my card once I paid the deposit, within the first week of having my card it was declined 6 times even though I had a large available amount. So I was charged for every decline that never should have been declined in the first place.
Then again 2 weeks later my card wouldn't work now not only does my card not work I cannot login to my account the phone numbers to contact then are either disconnected or cannot be routed. Nobody is replying to my live chat and I have not got a reply to any emails.
I'm passed!!! This was supposed to help me build my credit after going through identity theft and they are just kicking me when I'm down.

Everything at this company is a scam
- -There were 18 cancellation emails and 4 calls; the CEO promised a 3-month waiver.
- -An unknown $262.26 charge occurred Sept-Oct 2022; Equifax notified.
No this still has not been resolved as of this dat. They did shut me out of the app though.
But refused to cancel my account with Equifax. It is still listed as R1 revolving open with the scam money they tacked on for no reason. I'm currently in the middle of getting proof for Equifax to dispute this. Next step will be taking them to small claims court.
This company is beyond fraudulent. Stay away! U have been warned. Too bad they can't be shut down.

Some people haven't even had the account open and they were charged and still can their own money back they put down(secured credit card) I've also stopped using Credit Karma because they recommended this company. Only to find out they have been paid to advertise this scam company.
He called me to say he would waive 3 months of monthly fees($6/mth) to stay and would follow up with a phone call some time in the near future. After he said he would pay right away and failed to do so I Continued to email another 3 times to cancel the account. Funny they never got the 18 emails then but now all of a sudden they did. I was told as of May 11th card was frozen and account in queue to be canceled.
Date should have been canceled July 11th. Paid off the 2 months of monthly fees in advance and paid the Interest owing the prior month(full total already paid off) 4 months was paid off, no monthly charges, no purchases as was frozen remember. Come to find out that September 23-October 22 bill had a unknown charge of $262.26. No purchases, no fines no monthly fees no nothing for nothing added put of thin air.
Not only that but they reported this fraudulent charge to Equifax. Only time they reported it. (They started the date open and it R1 revolving/open) should have been closed 6 months ago. Still have this on my statement, still on Equifax and they refuse to take it off and cancel the account.
If u already have an account please report them to as many authorities as u can, the news everyone. If u don't have an ACCOUNT this is your warning. Read all the bad reviews. He pays people for sure to review on Google.

For all the bad reviews and on the good reviews the bottom where it asks if this was helpful and the thumbs up and thumbs down the thumbs down is most prominent on the the good reviews. You have been warned.
User's recommendation: Stay far away. Go with Canadian tire triangle. No yearly fee and they actually pay out rewards and don't tackle on bogus $262.26 charges with no explanation. And they actually report to the credit agency. Plastk only did to show I owed them the fraudulent $262.26. They work for the devil. Evil company and practices, false advertising on almost everything Stay away.

- Refunds take months after cancellation; a $300 deposit secured card charges $48 and $6 monthly, with credit threats late reporting and poor service.
This company will take months to issue you a refund of your funds after you request to cancel. It is a secured credit card where you deposit a minimum of $300.
They threaten you when you request to cancel with hurting your credit score. They will report late payments to the credit bureau for months, even though you've cancelled and they owe you money. They charge $48 up front and $6 a month to use. Initially it was a gift card with no PIN even!
Buyer beware! Customer service is horrible I had to complain to many other organizations that protect consumers just to get a refund.
However I am still trying to get negative credit reporting reversed and this is a real struggle. As I said stay away from this awful scam company!
