Completely Disappointed

We Purchased a home for over $140,000 from Plant City in Florida. At first all the staff was great and seemed like a reputable company. They wanted all the money up front and once they got it everything changed. The house was more than 6 months late, once they delivered it to us it had a leak in the kitchen ceiling leaking water all over the new appliances, there was not hot water to either the shower or tub, two of the faucets had no water at all, later found out through a contractor they did not even hook up the water lines under the home. Every room has white paint spills on the floor, all the curtains have paint spilled on them. big gaps in floors, big screws under flooring that were not removed and now poking thorough, large gaps in flooring that we keep tripping over. doors that do not close... list goes on and on anyone want to see pics please email me and I will send . All the VP Paul Cross would say its the builders fault and two months later still claiming the same thing its the builders fault even though it was Plant City housing that took our money....

User's recommendation: Stay away you will be very disappointed.

Buyers Beware Read reviews before you go here

We were approved to buy a home and put the home on our land that we owned free and clear. The first meeting they stated that all we needed to put down was a $2000 deposit and that was it even though with our credit and owning our land we were approved for 0 down with the mortgage company. The day we went in to discuss the home options, pick the colors and to sign our purchase agreement, the GM Paul became frustrated answering our questions and finalizing the details of what we wanted in the home. He then stated "out of the blue" that on top of the $2000 deposit that we would need to sign a "QUITCLAIM DEED" of our property over to Plant City Housing, WHAT? I never heard of such shady practice and I have purchased modular homes in the past and never once did they request for us to sign our property over to them. We left and I called numerous of other mobile home dealers and they also stated that they have never heard of any dealer requesting anyone to sign their property over to them by signing a quitclaim deed. Beware buyers and don't waste your time or lose your property to such skeptical tatics!!

Plant city housing llc ripped us off

plant city housing llc general manager ron allen agreed to handle sale of our mobile home. this dealer would not pay us for home after pocketing almost $20,000...and making numerous calls and visits to this south frontage road home center in plant city,fla...had to file a complaint with the better business bureau and get division of motor vehicles involved to get payment. this dealer inflated his fees and was very nasty .....buyers beware....!! if you have had bad experience with this firm, please post your issues and make the public aware whom they are dealing with.

my husband and i are having somewhat of the same problem, only we signed contract and payed large downpayment for a home to built and over a year later no home and havent refunded us 32,000 dollars. + do you mind me asking how did you get the payment back and what steps did you have to go thru?


This are family members running this business and will lie through their teeth (if they have them). Bad business to deal with as they don't care once they get your money.
