ATTENTION INTERNET MARKETERS: places scout software is JUNK. Do NOT Spend $197 on it or you will regret it! BTW that is $197 PER YEAR. It will not work unless you pay places scout owner mark kabana another $197 for his worthless sofwtare EVERY year. Lots of people at internet marketing boards have complained about it. Very very, slow software, does not do what you paid for, cannot get email addys, manta business owner names + data, proxies do not work well, and more. Keep reading for details:

I purchased places scout software, for almost $200.00, a year ago, to use for limited part time seo work, but more specifically as a tool to cull business owners emails, names, and other business data from manta and import them into excel, instead of having to get them one at a time myself, which takes many hours. mark kabana advertised that his software has that capability in manta. That a was a pure lie.

At no time did mark kababa disclose that places scout software does not work collecting manta info, even though he HAD to know that fact. Further he failed to disclose that his software was crawling with bugs. places scout does NOT work well with scraping data and with google local seo work.

For almost a year, I was duped by mark kabana. The manta feature had NEVER worked - collecting maybe up to 10-20% of the confirmed available manta names and business data, and chronically missing at least 80-90% of the others. I know not all businesses owners at manta are not listed. I am talking only about businesses owners which ARE listed - his software chronically missed the vast majority of those owners names and all other data about that business publicly available at manta - number or employees, years in business etc. Unlike kabanas' false advertising - places scout has NEVER retrieved that manta info, except a small percentage, which takes an average of 8 hours.

I wound up using this software very little. I quickly discovered the manta failure, constant proxy problems, constant results sproblems, and other problems and reported it to kabana. Kabana never could or would fix several issues, including the manta failure. In the matter of the manta failures, he acted as if he did not know what the problem was, even though it was quite simple; places scout is NOT getting even 1/4 of the manta business owners names and other important data! Now 11 months after I was duped out of $200 by kabana, he claims the chronic manta failure is finally "fixed." Of course I ran it and it missed 149 manat data out of 151 businesses. Fixed? LMAO!

If you need a script for harvesting manta business owner names, emails, and data - do NOT buy this software. - it does NOT work in FF/CHR/IE

Other problems I discovered, reported, and were NEVER fixed include:

FAILURE at getting email addresses, very buggy and does NOT collect even 15% of those available.

FAILURE at sorting or limiting number or results. This had NEVER worked properly.

SLOWWWWW - Sometimes the software runs at glacial speed or gets stuck for many hours. Like 18 HOURS. No kidding. Then you get to start all over again.

Google PLACES RESULTS FAILURE in multiple searches. I ran the software numerous times, on the infrequent occasion when I used it. Even though I set a cap of 300 for collecting business data, in only produced 50 results for real estate agents in major metro areas. Other fails, not collecting geocenter data.

PROXY FAILURE - I always use 10 - 30 GOOD active current USA proxies - most of the time the proxies failed in places scout, even though they were active an supposed to work. This would COST ME hours of time, a/k/a MONEY - having to add more good active proxies and running the scan again sometimes for 12 + [twelve +] hours on a simple search like "Ocala dentists."

I know no software is flawless, since it can depend out others' code. But; mark kabana continued to falsely advertise his places scout software could do things it positively could not do. I asked kabana to give me either a refund, or a serious discount for the next year, assuming the manta failures, etc, were finally fixed, for NOT getting what I paid for.

mark kabana regrettably essentially responded [paraphrased] - "No. You are trying to blame me for [my defective] software. It's your fault. [ As if I had written the *** code myself lol] Other people use places scout for things other than manta and got their money back many times over, so get other software." In other words: SHOVE IT.

Obviously mark kabana does not think the 27 + HOURS of time and several thousands dollars of time I lost, due to the places scout defective software, is worth a dime.

If you need a script for google local SEO and manta data harvesting - DO NOT buy places scout. mark kabanas' places scout software is nothing but chronic bugs.
