Cinch Home Warranty Referal

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My warranty company assigned them to me so I did not have a choice in choosing them. Working with them has been a nightmare.

After dealing with them for several days, I started to read their reviews and all of the lower stars are truthful at best. The average on several review sites is less than 2 stars. You have to be an awful business for this to occur.

I worked with their customer service and scheduling team. These people have no customer service skills.

They told me my submission was incorrect. I followed up on their e-mail trying to correct them and they continued to say that I was wrong. My original request had 4 issues that they condensed to two without any facts. Me the homeowner was not believed.

We had a conversation where I tried to clear things up, but they still were skeptical about my request. In what world is the homeowner is the bad guy and the service company is not there to understand or clear things up? When the plumber came on-site and I told him the issues which is what I reported only did the scheduling believe me.

3 of the 4 issues were fixed on the first trip. As many reviews said and captured eloquently, another common problem occurred.

They sent my warranty company a bill for $1075. I called when they told me my out-of-pocket costs. I asked for a breakdown and they sent me back to the warranty company. When I discussed the costs with the warranty company, they were hesitant after doing some research.

They installed a $123 and $41 part. You want to talk about a mark-up price. I have had the patch panel replaced in several properties and this cost was 2.5x of those repairs. Since the warranty company would not send another company out, I was stuck with PipeDoctor247.

The process did not get better at this point.

Knowing they were overcharging me and this was before Christmas. The entire repair process was 6 weeks. When I was scheduling the second visit, PipeDoctor247 revealed to me the contract that was between Cinch Home Services and me. If you want to talk about a privacy issue and Business Law 101 this is the perfect case.

When I asked how they knew what details were in my contract, I did not get an answer, but I will follow up with Cinch Services. However, the initial call still did not result in a visit being scheduled because they called me a liar in a nice way. In the end, I was right again, but their phone, support, and care team were the worst.

I asked for a morning visit because of the nature of the issue, but they gave me a mid-day time frame from 10-2. The plumber Blair showed up one hour late and NEVER apologized for his lateness and he was on-site for 4 hours.

I paid for their services in cash because I do not want my financial information connected to PipeDoctor247 in any way. This is not a trustworthy company. Other reviews have pointed out their business practices and I saw it first hand. Those 1 and 2-star reviews were accurate, I experienced everything they said in my dealings with them.

Initially, I thought Blair was a good guy with a bad company and I was going to give them a 2-star rating.

He seems knowledgeable, but not apologizing for being late or acknowledging shows you how out of touch these employees are. This business will find a way to dig deep in your pockets so be aware. I hope I never have to deal with this company again even from my warranty company.

I agree with a recent post about warning you enough. Bless you, if you have a good experience with them, but the probability is high that you will not.

The only plumbing company that made things worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Same as the folks on here with negative reviews. Home Warranty recommend company to clear a drain.

Well, we had the plumber come to clear a double vanity drain - ended up making a huge mess in my house with his shoes and around the sinks. The sinks were empty, but somehow managed to make the situation worst where both sinks were full. He basically gave up and told me that he couldn't clear the drain, and that a vent clean out is needed, and it won't be covered under warranty and will cost $550!

Well, knowing this guy didn't even bring an electric auger inside to clear the drain - I knew it wasn't done properly, and prompted me to find someone else before I spend another dime on them. In fact, I hired another plumber (paid out of my own pocket) and was a fraction the clean out cost that they were going to charge me.

The plumber we hired said that the vent clean out wouldn't even be needed for this type of clog.

Astonishing, this company profile is not on Google -- tells you a lot. Most of the reviews here are spot on.

BAD JOB PERFORMANCE!!!

Pipe Doctor 247 - BAD JOB PERFORMANCE!!!
Pipe Doctor 247 - BAD JOB PERFORMANCE!!! - Image 2

On January 24, 2022, Josh Beck RMP 42363 arrived at my house to repair my toilet which was not working properly. On his arrival, he did not display any professionalism.

He was very arrogant, pompous, and lacked customer service.

He allegedly completed the job within five minutes. However, when I checked the job, nothing was done. I politely informed him that the job wasn't done right. Call the home warranty company, you have 30 days to do that.

He said with an air of arrogance manner.

When we called the next day to complain about the shabby job he did, the receptionist said they can't help me because there was nothing wrong with the job he did . I pleaded my case to no avail.

I called my home warranty again to send me another plumber. Sure they did.

The new plumber ( Bunkies Plumbing ) came and adjusted my toilet's fill valve upstairs and also replaced the tank lever flapper downstairs.

PIPEDOCTOR is a disgrace and I will never ever use them again. And thanks to Bunkies Plumbing for a job well done.

PIPEDOCTOR YOU ARE A BIG SCAM!!!

Respectfully Submitted,

Gab semi

Lack of Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Can you give a negative number of stars? We have had to use our home warranty twice for plumbing since buying a new home in Garland last Oct.

Both times the home warranty company sent out the same company, PipeDoctor247.

The first time they refused to do any work because the pipe that was cracked was under the foundation. We called another company and they came out and did it with no problem.

The second time was today. We just have a sink in a bathroom that won't drain. I used Liquid Plumber in the drain to try to fix it myself, but that didn't work, so we called the plumber through the warranty company.

The guy gets here wreaking of cigarette smoke and gets some of the liquid in the drain on his hand. He said it stung, so I reminded him that I had put Liquid Plumber down the drain. He stated that he couldn't touch it because it would ruin his tools. He called his boss and that guy apparently agreed that he should not touch it.

He handed me an invoice and left without doing anything. It took them a week to come out for the first visit, and now he said that we have to go back through the office to book something else.

There is no telling how long that will take. In conclusion, DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER!!!

Bad, bad plumbing company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My home warranty company sent Josh Beck of PipeDoctor 24/7 to my home to assess a garbage disposal that was not working. First off, he came into the house without a mask in a city that has a very high Covid death rate!

This company also is big on making SURE you have the $75 Cash service call fee ready! He intends on collecting the service call fee, spending a few minutes at your house, and then never returning. He told us that the disposal was no good and he would get with the warranty company. 5 days later after no response, I finally contacted the warranty company to see what was going on.

Mr. Beck texts me that same afternoon (after I contacted warranty company) that it will take a few weeks to get a builders grade disposal and, thus, he will have to install an upgrade along with electrical modifications which will cost me $375 additional dollars aside from the original $75 I handed over to him. To make a long story short, he tells me later via text that we can either move forward with his plan or I can accept a cash out from the warranty company. Warranty company only wanted to give me $45 for the Cash Out!!

I called and bugged and yelled and screamed until the warranty company heard my plea!! They sent out a new contractor to my house. Within 45 minutes the new plumbing contractor had a new Moen garbage disposal installed and working!! No upgrade, no electrical modifications, no more service call fees to pay!!

MoralDo not allow Pipe Doctor 24/7 into your home.

If your warranty company mentions this contractor, run, run and run fast away!! Request someone else.

This company has many bad reviews Online!! And they are all true!

Garbage disposals are $69 at costco when they have them on sale, $99 when they're not. They take an average consumer about 20 minutes to install and there's no tools necessary other than a phillips head screwdriver and your hands.

Josh {{Redacted}} is a POS and an absolute *** of a human being. I can't believe he is still allowed to work with the warranty companies at all.

They tried to do the same thing with me replacing my hot water heater. They wanted to charge me nearly $800 in extras that actually cost me less than $90 at Lowe's. After getting into a verbal shouting match with Josh Beck, who owns the company; and after reading reviews, I decided there was no way I was letting them into my home again.
