Pioneer Basement Waterproofing in MA leaves you high and wet

A note of caution to anyone thinking of working with this Massachusetts company. We experienced a major basement flood a little over a year after Pioneer installed an expensive pump system in our home. All parties agree the pumps turned out to be faulty and failed. To our great disappointment, Pioneer has responded by pointing out the limits of their liability. Their insurer covers only installation problems and not equipment malfunction. We are now left completely on our own with a devastating bill of over $20,000 in flood damages due to the faulty pumps Pioneer sold us and installed. Anyone who thinks they are purchasing peace of mind from Pioneer, please learn from our sobering experience.

I just called Pioneer to ask about their services to remedy a specific wet basement problem. The woman I spoke with had very little clue about how to answer any questions.

She kept telling me completely opposite things. An initial contact that went so poorly does not garner my confidence. They should be more selective about who is answering phones. She turned me off and was a terrible salesperson.

I will be looking elsewhere. Glad I called instead of just scheduling a free estimate on line.
