Only out for money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Pima Heart & Vascular is a scam operation. They don't check with insurance companies prior & submit claims with incorrect coding which makes it easy to bill the patient.

For appointments, they make you wait 2 1/2 hours & then give you a questionable diagnosis. They recommend procedures without checking with insurance first. They have an awful payment processing center in Oaks, PA which doesn't resolve complaints. They ignore complaints filed by the Better Business Bureau.

They're only out for money & will try to talk you into unnecessary procedures without insurance approval. Beware of this unscrupulous, unethical scam business.

Medical Fraud Billing Practices

Medical Fraud.

False and intentionally misleading statements to patients.

Submitting false bills or claims for service.

Health care fraud is a crime that involves misrepresenting information,

concealing information, or deceiving a person or entity in order to

receive benefits, or to make a financial profit.

Started 09/02/2020; Statement sent by Pima Heart and Vascular.

Dr Winter and Dr Algeo both from same office sent statements by Pima Heart

and Vascular For 2 charges each-dated 09/02/2020, sent to me and Wellcare Insurance

Company; Charges of $63. and $53 from Dr Winter; $63.

and $53. from Dr Algeo. I called

on receipt of statements. Pima Heart and Vascular explained they were the billing agent

for the Drs.

Explaned, what charges were for? PM DEVICE INTERROGATE REMOTE; PM/ICD

REMOTE TECH SERV-PH? SUPPOSEDLY ACCESSING REMOTELY INFO FROM A PACEMAKER?

I ADVISED I DO NOT HAVE A PACEMAKER, NEVER HAD ONE! ASKED ME IF I WAS SURE!

I TOLD THEM TO CALL DR WINTER, ASK.

THEY ADVISED TO FORGET BILL! Nov, 2020

statement come with another set of charges to Wellcare and me. Called advised as had

previously done, Pima Heart and Vascular, said to ignored bill, Now unable to reach Dr

Algeo and Dr Winters-Did not return my calls! Dec 2020 same statements come with a

note amount will be sent to collections; Again called, said to ignore bill.

I Called Wellcare

Insurance who had paid the bills, advised was FRAUDULENT BILLING; Wellcare investigated

found billings were fraudulent. Fraudulent statements were sent in 2021 same values-calls.

Pima Heart and Vascular told me they had repaid Wellcare/Medicare for the previous

payments, I tried to verify, not able verify amounts paid back. Dr winters retired in 2022,

(apparently he was also, Dr Algeo) and sold this service to a Dr. Tirrito who's office phone

number is where Dr Winter and Dr Algeo, were located and After 3 years of call about this

billing they still send me a bill for $63.

and $53. Pima Heart and Vascular Knowing are

sending and threatening collections to me. I will not call anymore!

I am sending this letter

to the FTC, BBB and Pissed -Off Customers. Then I will sue Pima Heart and Vascular Knowing

sending me this FRAUDULENT BILLING and have been notified by me over 20 times by phone

since the Fraud Billing Started, 2020.
