AI Highlights
  • - Ten workers sent to the Fairgrounds.
  • - Supervisor limited breaks; 30-minute lunch.
  • - Mucked stalls in dung with no breaks; Lighthouse didn't respond.

In total ten workers were sent to the Fairgrounds, we'll outside the town's city limits. We were all there for the same job, which I've been sent to once before, and everything was going smoothly, but after about two hours I was our of water and returned to the vehicle to get more water, and take a brief break.

I was sitting outside the main fairgrounds arena, and the supervisor, Armando or Roman, came driving up and laid into me, telling me I was not allowed outside of the building and that I wasn't allowed to take my break until he said and that everyone would take lunch together, and that if I didn't like it, I could leave.

He then came in to tell all of us, who were all hired to work 8 hours that we would have a 30 minute lunch when he said and no other breaks.

We spent the entire day mucking out stalls that were knee deep in horse dung and they didn't give us mandatory breaks. I emailed the integrity company of the day labor we were sent from, Lighthouse, but they never responded.

Loss:
$8

Preferred solution: I think they should have to compensate us all for violating federal labor laws.

User's recommendation: Pass on this ticket
