Duncan Hines - Four (4) seeds in one can of Comstock cherry pie filling.
by BrilliantStickInsect #1509820
Made a cherry pie .. using Duncan Hines Comstock cherry pie filling.
Surprised at pit .. fortunately did not break any teeth. Never imagined that it would happen again .. same pie.
Threw seeds away. Never thought there could be more. Guess what??? There were two more ..
saved the last two seeds. Where is the quality control??? This is a serious issue!! In one can there were four seeds.
If I had served this to guests it would have cost me lots of money for broken teeth. This is outrageous!!

We have always used Duncan Hines Comstock cherry pie filling on our cheesecakes. Tried a can tonight....it tasted disgusting and was filled with stems.....never seen anything like it before. Very disappointed, won’t buy this brand anymore.
Duncan Hines - Com stock cherry pie filling

Within the last 6 months, purchased comstock cherry pie filling 8x’s! Never disappointed as I am now!
Every can has three to five black mushy cherries! I just pulled them out & moved on! Today after spending approx $4.00 for cherry pie filling, I found 2 black bad cherries & 2 stems! OMG luckily I found it as someone couture have choked on it!
Comstoke use to be first class. My grandmother, mother & I only bought Comstoke brand! It was a family thing which went back for generations! Pie filling isn’t cheap but every time I would purchase & open I would cringe , what will I find now!!

I have used Comstock cherry pie filling and raspberry pie filling for over twenty years To make pies and other deserts. I have always been very pleased with the look of the topping. The cherries and raspberries have been large and plump. They were always whole cherries a...

Yesterday I made a beautiful cheesecake, and I purchased Comstock (Duncan Hines now) Cherry Pie Filling. I’ve been using these cherries for years, and they used to be nice, plump, round cherries. These were flat, torn, and I thought I bit down into a cherry pit, but it...

Duncan Hines - What happened to the cherries?!! (Replaced with yucky syrup!!)
by ConvincingCeskyFousek #14412111.0
What happened to all the cherries in Comstock Original Country Cherry Pie filling?!! The cherry count has been reduced by at least a third and doesn't even fill a pie to within 2 inches of the edge.
The cherries have been replaced with a gummy, gooey, yucky syrup! Not only that, I found several stems and quality of the cherries is vastly inferior to the Comstock pie filling I have used for years. I have been making a cherry cream cheese pie since the 1970s with Comstock filling (which used to be called "Ruby Red").
I am very disappointed and will start looking for other alternatives. I refuse to be cheated by corporate executives who are lining their pockets with profit by destroying quality products.

Just purchased two cans of Simply Peach Pie filling/Topping. No idea how big a pie this makes or how long to bake it or what temp. Took off the label thinking info was hidden on the back.. nope! All it says on the front is "open and serve"... no help since I want to...
