HORRIBLE COMPANY!
I called Picone to install a brand new Heat N Glo 8000CLX fireplace unit in my new construction house in 2014. They came to install the unit and told me when I'm finished with my house to call them to start up the unit and install the forged front façade as well. They advised me they should keep the front for safekeeping which i agreed Meanwhile they asked me to pay me in full which I did, even though the $2,000 front was not delivered. Come 2015 I call them up and a secretary for a new fireplace company there tells me Piccone went out of business but was a company owned by DELFINO INSULATION and they would honor the completion of the work. I called DELFINO INSULATION up and the owner there told me the forged front was delivered at the time and that's that. I asked for proof of delivery which they could not provide. Now they won't even answer my phone calls back. A tale of caution for all new homeowners.

Picone Energy systems installed a prefab fireplace in my under construction home in 1987. The company owner, seeing the house under construction, stoped in to solicit his product. With the usual salesman pitch i fell for the product, A Marco prefab fireplace.They were in and out in one day,took the money and ran. From the beginning the chimney cap leaked and they did not supply internal fan for fireplace that was paid for.Repeated calls were ignored.After a considerable amount of time i had to have the leak fixed by another contractor.The company is now known as Picone Stone and Fireplace.

Picone Stone And Fireplace
As a contractor, I have used Picone Stone and Fireplace since 2007 on about 15 jobs. They have very professionally installed fireplaces and finishes.
Not only until, my last job did things not go so smoothly as far as a miscommunication I had with my customer. The staff was extremely attentive and resolved the minor detail immediately. I would highly recommed their services at any time to any customer.
They have been under new ownership since 2000. Maybe that is the difference between now and the last guy who posted a problem in 1987.
I have been dealing with picone for 14 years. They have always serviced me well over this time.
The have installed fireplaces, mantels, and stone for many of my homeowners. They were always professional and finished each job in a timely manner. Sometimes people want to complain about every contractor they hire. Maybe the delay in your job was because YOU weren't ready or your contractor held up the job because he didn't prep it correctly.
People are always so quick to point fingers. Why don't you stand behind your complaint and post your real name.

Got a Fireplace from these guys, and had a problem with it. You call, and they tell you John will call you back to set up an appointment.
Guess what, whoever John is NEVER calls you back.
Whenever you call for him, he is out. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

It took them 5 months to install a wood burning stove in my home to the tune of $6,000.
They took payment and then delayed the project and avoided all phone calls. What a bunch of jerks over there.
I was going to use them Who did you deal with over there . theyhad a salesman named Frank come over to my house.

I just had a wood stove installed by Picone. I have never had so much fun dealing with the staff in the showroom.
The office staff was very professional and the new manager was involved in communicating with us on a regular basis. I am a very satisfied customer and have used their service department numerous times. I just referred them to two of my neighbors who were equally satisfied and I received a gift card for the referrals.
I actually truly enjoyed giving them my business and I use the stove everyday! Has really reduced my energy costs.
Ashwood in Patchogue were outstanding. Had a Heat & Glow fire place installed. The salesman and the installer were just Great and I am very happy with the fire place.
I have been shopping around, heard that Ashwood is out of business. And that they had changed their company name many times in the past few years.
I will be visiting Picone this week. I have heard many great reviews from neighbors and friends.
