Dark printing

I used Picaboo to create a photo album after purchasing a WagJag deal. When I previewed the album online, it looked great. I sent if for printing. Once I received it, it was obvious that the printing darkened most of the pictures. I have never had an issue with my camera. I emailed Picaboo to explain what I received. Their response was that the darkness exists in the original image files selected for use in my project, which is why they printed dark and that it was not a print defect. They also said it may be due to my monitor brightness settings. Interesting that others on this site had the same issue. I was sure they were not due to my pictures or my monitor. I've printed tons of pictures online using the same computer with no issues. I told them that I was printing a few of the pictures at another photo company so that I could prove that the darkness was not due to my files. They said they wouldn't honour that. Ridiculous. They did offer to reprint and that I could use their editing tools to lighten the pictures, but that I would have to pay taxes and shipping again. I think that solution is unacceptable when I know that it's a defect on their part. I will never use this company again.

PICABOO IS TERRIBLE, DO NOT USE!!!

We ordered a bunch of books as surprise gifts for our wedding guests- they sent all of the books to the wrong address, even though the title of each book was the name on each address. Each book contained a personal letter to each person and different pictures, different sizes. We spent a ton on rush shipping and on the books. First off they make you take a photo of each book to show how it is wrong which is a pain in our *** as we sent it to multiple people in multiple countries! All they are offering to do is to refund our shipping costs, so we can wire the shipping money to each guest, so each person who received a book in error would have to mail it themselves! Many of whom are in a different country! Poor level of customer service, they just want your money, they don't care about their customers or their product. It was supposed to be a lovely surprise gift and now it is just a source of incredible stress. Shame on Picaboo- save yourself the hassle and disappointment, DO NOT USE PICABOO!!!!

***LOOK AT THE SHIPPING COSTS*

i bought a voucher for credit off of living social...

i looked at the prices and they seemed reasonable enough...didn't even think to look at the shipping costs...

THEY ARE OUTRAGEOUS! charging PER item...

i was ordering 8x10s specifically.

2.99 shipping for the first 8x10. and 1.50 for each additional print.

i ordered 17 prints and the shipping was $27.

i will never being doing business with picaboo again...

BE WARNED...read ALL the fine print and look at EVERYTHING on the site...even the ordering process itself is very cumbersome and hard to navigate...for that alone i'd never come back...not to mention the shady shipping charges

I placed my order on a Sunday evening, used my groupon (which didn't cover even one canvas). Then on Monday receive an email that all canvas prints are 40% off. There is no phone number on their website, only LiveChat -- which is not manned adequately since I waited for over 30 minutes and still had noone come to assist. Finally got a number was told that they would honor, until they realized I had used a groupon -- asked them to split my order since I ordered two, but wouldn't honor that either. Bottom line -- don't order here!

Learn to read fine print before *** about a company screwing you. Vouchers generally can't be used with other promotions.

Picaboo *** Me Off--Delivery ISSUES.

Got an Eversave coupon for Picaboo, $35 for $100 of product. Wanted to use it for the holiday calendars we get the grandparent and great-grandparents every year. Didn't realize you couldn't apply the coupon to shipping (like everywhere else) but my bad for not reading the fine print (although I can't find the info anywhere on my coupon, only on their site). We order the calendars by the christmas shipping deadline on the site, paid extra for the two day shipping, and the calendars are't showing up until after Christmas. The rep is saying it is our fault and all I have to say is that there are a gazillion other companies that do this kind of thing with a better website/design options and with way better customer service so send your business elsewhere!

I have to agree w/ the fact that I'm pissed off. I had been working on the photo book for two and a half hours the other day.

I went to reopen the project AND NOTHING SAVED!! Not only is the onsite building UNuser friendly, the photos took roughly 4 hours to upload. I only had 143!

Currently my husband is downloading the desktop version of the software... I'll come back and let you know how that works out.

No customer support at all!!!

I bought a voucher from Picaboo to make a calendar. Not only doesn't their software not work properly, I wasted way too much of my time trying to save the work that I did over and over. The program saved few or non of my pics that I uploaded onto the site. There was absolutely no customer support to help address this or any other problem. It's faulty software and they don't seem to care about their customers. Luckily, I purchased their deal from Amazon local and I am now able to get my refund. Horrible company!!! I would never recommend them to anybody.

Poor print quality

I was so disappointed when i received the photobook i created from picaboo. almost every page has a photo that has dark images...i can hardly recognized the face. from the cover photo itself it was definitely darker than the pictures i uploaded. i complained but they said its the image quality of my pictures and that my monitor was too bright...oh come on i took those pictures from a high definition camera! what a lousy excuse! bottomline they print VERY POOR quality so if you dont want to waste your time and receive VERY POOR quality photobook. try other photobook and stay away from PICABOO!

Picaboo customer service is a joke

I seriously can not stand customer service for picaboo. I think they are a horrible company and there is an auto-mesage sent for complaints. I emailed the boss and the message i bought appeared generic. The site it self alone was easy to use but horrible when you got error messages that did not ecplain itself on their site. You call them and youre waiting on the line for about 30 minutes and the woman on the other end is not happy at all. She was very rude. Then i call back and they hang up on me twice!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!

Picaboo lies to customers

I made a book several years ago and asked picaboo staff if I wanted to make another could I they said yes we save all projects for you.

Now that I want a copy of the book they don't have it on file. The book took me over 24 hours of my time to layout with their program I would recommend going to any other book company and having them do the book since picaboo lies to their customers and their support is aweful can you say india...

Also please note that the software sucks I could have laid the book out faster using photoshop, walmart book or any other book provider out there!

Pages missing from book

I submitted a book with 49 pages. When it arrived at my house, there were only 47 pages. Even the book wrapper that gave the order number and date had 49 pages. I couldn't find a phone number, so I submitted a claim. No response after 2 days. I finally got on online chat and the representative said it was 'interesting' that the book came saying there were 49 pages when there were only 47. All the files she could see had 47 pages. I don't understand what happened, but it happened after I submitted the book. There has been no resolution.

DO NOT USE PICABOO - COMPLETE SCAM WITH SHIPPING. BOUGHT LIVING SOCIAL DEAL, THEY DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE DEAL FOR SHIPPING - TWO CALENDARS COSTS $32 TO SHIP; WHAT A JOKE! NO OTHER PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS CAN BE USED WHEN USING THE LIVING SOCIAL DEAL. I would absolutely avoid doing any business with Picaboo. Creating the calendars was a complete waste of time as well, kept crashing and is extremely slow! There are so many other better calendar making websites out there, choose another. Was also challenging to even check out and choose a shipping option. Overall very poor experience. Good luck.

Picaboo.com - DO NOT USE!!!

In every step of creating a calendar, I had a horrendous experience with Picaboo.

The videos on the site are very misleading. The site appears to be easy to use. However, the site was despicable. Everything took a very long time to load or happen, despite trying several Internet connections. Clicking the backgrounds, inserting text, typing text, uploading photos, dragging photos onto the page, moving photos, resizing photos, etc took minutes each.

It is very tedious and difficult to resize and rearrange photos. Also, if you add or delete a photo to the layout, the site reorganizes and resizes all the photos to fit a premade template. This forces you to redo the layout, resizing, and editing of each photo on the page. The lack of flexibility and undoing of work is extremely frustrating. I could have handmade 20 calendars faster than one calendar online.

Also, the shipping costs are exorbitant. It was about $70 to order 20 calendars.

Customer service is severely inadequate. There is not a telephone number available. The customer service chat shut down due to volume (likely because of all the site inadequacies). Even when it is operational, it took 30-45 minutes to reach someone.

The fact that this site is still operational, let alone in multiple countries, severely baffles me. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!!!!!! There are a lot of better and less expensive options.

Poo on Picaboo

I bought the Groupon for 70 custom flat holiday cards. The photo I wanted to use did not work with any of the flat card choices, so I ended up having to go with a folding card and the Groupon covered enough for just 40 cards. I received my shipment today and there were only envelopes - no cards! I contacted online customer service, which took about 10 minutes to connect to. It will now take two to three days to process the order and another two to three days for shipping. I'll be lucky if I receive my cards by 12/21. Never again!! This company is terrible.

Picaboo - SNEAKY with Shipping, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Be careful what you buy and watch out for the shipping charge before purchasing from this sneaky company. I purchased a Groupon for a value of $100 which was applied to my book of $93 value, great! What SHOCKED me was the outrageous shipping cost that i was charged - $56.98!!!!! Why??? Because I also ordered a $2 print, and that apparently is an additional $35.99 shipping charge to the $20.99 that i already paid for the book. I go through with the order because my groupon expires and i had no time to dispute it without forgoing my book. So I write to Customer Care after my order submission asking them to refund the $35.99 only to be given a scripted answer that they can't do anything for me because my order has been processed. The status of my order is in fact not shipped and I request a cancellation on the shipment of the $2 print and therefore they should reimburse me the shipment charge. Nothing has been done. I've never been more appalled by any company. Picaboo, you should be ashamed of your business ethics. You have no customer care! I feel completely robbed by you with your inexcusable shipping rates.

Do NOT use Picaboo!

Picaboo never sent the cards I ordered- now I will not be able to send my Hanukkah cards at ALL because the cards will arrive a MONTH after I ordered them! Ordered 11-27-12 and will not arrive until 12-20-12, much too late to get out in time for Hanukkah OR Christmas. Had to contact customer support 5 times, totaling over 2 hours and still have not received my cards. Horrible customer service. Will never, ever use them again. I have used many other card companies in the past and have never had a problem. Steer clear, customers!
