Dispute my bill

On 4/4 /22 Andrew Partyka DÓB 01/14/2003 was in the clinic at Norridge, we have paid a copay $50 prior doctora visit. Recently weve received a bil for that visit.

Ive contacted PIC, and was told that Youve sent us a reimbursement of $50 check # 239702, issued on 8/17/22.

We never received that check. According to your records, where and when it was cashed?

Poor Service & Expensive

Traveling through Chicago this past summer, I wasnt feeling well so scheduled an appointment with Physicians Immediate Care. When I checked in, I stood at the front desk for a few minutes before the receptionist even acknowledged me.

Not the friendliest person in the world & I was hoping the doctors were nicer. Completed my paperwork and wait about 5 minutes before being called back. I wasnt in the exam room too long before the doctor came in, we discussed my symptoms, she listened to my lungs & said shed write a RX. I leave, pay my bill of $165 and leave.

Three months later, I get a text message saying I owe them and $271. Thinking its spam, I ignore it then a month later, received another. I finally called them and they said it was a billing error and would adjust the account & make note of it.

Lets hope they do. I had no choice but to go there because I was traveling but looking at the other reviews, Id suggest to anyone that has other options available in Chicago to go elsewhere.

Appalling Customer Service

Contains 1 confidential file for company representatives

They asked me to schedule a telehealth appointment as a follow up to my previous Covid test.

I did this, giving all my insurance details and ID's again, even though they had them from the first appointment.

Then, nobody showed for the telehealth appointment.

I used their chat function on the website, but the guy wasn't very helpful and told me to call a number where you get put in a line to wait for an automated message that nobody is available.

Utter crap!

Annual Physical

My company requires me to have an annual physical. Since I do not have a primary care doctor I went onto the Blue Cross PPO website and picked Physicians Immediate Care, they said accepting patients.

When I went there this morning , I filled out the paper work , they took my insurance and then after waiting for about 45 minutes a nurse comes out and says " the doctor is not going to see you since he does not know your history".

Well, I was shocked , especially since on their phone recording they say they do annual physicals. Nevertheless I did report them to Blue Cross but this is very dissapointing.

Physicians Immediate Care Lab Tests Review from Elwood, Illinois

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My experience with Physicians Immediate Care on Larkin in Joliet was awful starting the moment I was taken in the back. It was almost 2 hours of waiting (after the waiting room) between everything since they needed to run tests.

The tests all had immediate results! They couldn't wrap their head around my medical history and were convinced I needed to run an EKG (which I've had plenty in my lifetime). I refused and the person tried to convince me 4 more times I needed it. It had nothing to do with why I was there.

Part of a lot of our discussion included the discussion of my PCOS and that in the next few days I could find I was pregnant but that due to the PCOS we wouldn't know even though I had a negative test that morning. Despite this they wanted another test which I explained would be negative, and it was. Fast forward through a variety of smaller problems with them...she told me what prescription she was prescribing and I specifically asked if I found out in the next few days that I was pregnant if it was safe to take. She said it was but alas, I pick up my $40 prescription and the FIRST warning was to not take if I were pregnant.

So like any patient should, I called to question this. The response was that since I had a negative test (remember, I really shouldn't have a positive one for a few days and she new this) she prescribed it! Wait, does she not understand how a pregnancy test works? That it takes a few days of being pregnant before it will show up in a test?

So she suggested that if I was concerned I could wait a few days to start taking it. But why did I go in? To wait any longer?

To pay for tests and a prescription that changes nothing since I now don't have anything I can take? This place was a waste of time and money as they were idiots!

Lab Draws

Went in for Lab Draws for work and they are NOT trained well! Each year we have to go in for the same Labs for work and not only is there a hour wait min time in the waiting room, but last time they called me back and made me lay down and wait another 45 minutes because the phlebotomist left the room with out communicating with me.

She then came in and kept checking a ring of keys in a locked sharp container. Still not communicating with me while I lay there waiting. Then she finally came in and told me she had to help another patient. She then did NOT wash her hands before putting her gloves on.

She then went to do the lab draw and went to the left of my BIG vein hardly getting my vein when she dug in at an angle to draw. I bruised for three days. The time before that the Phlebotomist infiltrated my vein. She went completely through my vein and caused swelling bruising and pain.

All of this for ONE vial. The staff is not trained, does not wash her hands and the wait is ridiculous especially when I was the only person in the waiting room. Also the last time I went, instead of them billing my employer for the required workplace lab draw, the billed ME.

This took numerous times of me calling the office and they kept referring me to call other numbers. This took a YEAR to clear up that I am not responsible for the payment ( not to mention my employer already paid them and they were double billing) I will NEVER go back to Physicians Immediate Care on East State Street!!!!

Half hour waits for urinalysis

There is four testees and a dozen employees or nurses in here at the Loves Park location and they are telling us 30 min wait period for a 5 second ordeal. I came in ready to *** and the office assistant says you will have a thirty to forty minute wait.

Its REDONKULOUS! Feel like im in the military again, Hurry up and WAIT.

And now they are calling people out of order. This ia a very unprofessional clinic.

Perhaps Physicians needs to hire more RNs or maybe fire a few so they stop fb'ing and do what they are paid for. Seriously, half hour wait for each of four people to do a five second urinalysis in a clinic with a dozen employees.
